  • Michael Malice is an author, political commentator & podcaster.
    No matter what your political affiliation, the ferocity of the press's approach to any story right now is quite intense. The volume seems to only get louder and louder as they try to maintain the attention that 2020 gave them. I wanted to ask Michael just what is going on.
    Expect to learn what Michael thinks about the Canadian truckers' protest, whether Whoopie Goldberg deserved cancelling, why ambient anxiety is the outcome that the media wants, what's happening with Ukraine and Russia, how Michael ended up in Tesla's Giga Factory at midnight, whether we're over wokeness and much more...

      Hive mentality or Mob mentality or Herd mentality is not an illness, it's part of human nature. Just like tribalism, it's deeply ingrained in our subconscious, our genetics. People are pack animals and so people will subconsciously avoid standing out of the crowd by conforming to what ever idea is popular.

      And you have some truth there man, however; hive, herd nor pack are the same thing, even less tribal mentality, each has its own degree of reasoning, awareness and the value given to each individual. And right, its not hive mentality really, its more like herd mentality or a bizarre hybrid of both... The lack in the capacity of many people in this society to apply reason before jumping in ...is just sad lmao.
      And true that mate, _"people will subconsciously avoid standing out of the crowd by conforming to what ever idea is popular."_ full social engineering right there. You have hellywood, the music industry and the whole mainstream media to thank for that.

    It’s worth mentioning that these truckers, most of them small independents, are taking themselves out of participation in one of the highest freight markets ever to make this movement happen. That’s people putting their money and their own livelihood, where their mouth is. That’s called integrity.

    About the GoFundMe, it was the mayor of Ottawa who bragged about pressuring GFM to withhold releasing funds. It was thanks to Senator DeSantis for asking for legal investigation into it that GFM changed their tune and refunded the donations. (along with the chargebacks of course). The Ontario gov't who took it to Supreme Court to demand that GiveSendGo not release the funds. The Toronto Dominion Bank has the original GFM release of $1.4M frozen. So the truckers haven't received any of the donated funds to date.

Entire night of enduro bikes riding between the tents, drunk guys cranking their sport bikes' engines to the cut off, and so on. We had the freedom convoy, in a smaller version, drive through my city. The honking lasted for hours, and YES it was annoying, but it was for my benefit. My kids complained about it, and tried to denegrate the truckers, at which point I set them straight. Here were people willing to spend large amounts of money and time, to protest an unjust action by the government, that interrupted their ability to provide for their families' needs, and they were peacefully (other than some noise) protesting for ALL of us. I told them if I didn't work, then they didn't get a roof over their head, food heat, etc, and that they would starve or freeze to death, so thank the truckers for being willing to do this for them. A little discomfort was worth it to ensure they could still get all those things. After explained like that, they understood it, until the media went nuts and lied and labeled the truckers. Then I re-explained it.
    Trudeau could have, and SHOULD have met with a small delegation of the truckers to find out what they wanted, and then work with them. Had he done so, he would have looked better, the Canadian common worker would have realized our government IS willing to talk and meet with us, and it likely would have decreased the size and the length of the protest. Instead, he proved himself to be a tyrannical authoritarian, willing to size children, bank accounts, funding, and openly lie about the nature of the protest and the people. Seizing bank account prevented some of the truckers from even being able to leave when they were willing to do so. Trudeau has very little common sense, less intelligence, and next to no qualities that a leader should have. Case in point: holding an interview in french, where he painted the truckers as ra cists, fas cists, and mysogyn ists, only to lie to the press later saying he never said those things, when so many people in Canada speak both English and French.

    Fun fact: The Viet Cong did more to end Pol Pot's genocide than the West did.
    Granted, the Viet Cong's efforts to do so ended up not being effective, but they at least tried.
    Pretty much as soon as the North Vietnamese took Saigon they declared war against Cambodia and invaded because a ton of the people the Khmer Rouge were murdering were ethnic Vietnamese, and ethnic loyalties were (and still are) of primary importance, even to the Vietnamese Communist Party.

      Vietnam's Vietnam.

    • @matrix3509
      @matrix3509 2 роки тому

      Also, one of the main reasons why their efforts ended up being in vain was because shortly after the Vietnamese crossed the Cambodian border, China declared war on Vietnam and counter-invaded Vietnam from the north. It was a purely punitive invasion designed to punish Vietnam for interfering with China's Cambodian allies. The Chinese captured like 3 towns in North Vietnam, held them for a while, then promptly retreated back across the Chinese border while the Vietnamese were scrambling to bring their forces back from Cambodia to defend their own territory.
      This was the primary reason why the US's fears of a "domino effect" of communism was completely bullshit. The very second America's presence in Southeast Asia was gone, every single one of these regional powers turned on each other because of millennia old ethnic hatreds. China's material support for Vietnam dried up and they were at each other throats in the blink of an eye.
      Even though the Communist Party is still technically in charge in Vietnam to this day, they are close allies with the US government, the economy is 100% capitalist, and they still despise the Chinese intensely.

      @@matrix3509 I dont know about that. Vietnam won the Vietnam War in 1975. They were forced into Cambodia in late 78, a whole 3 years later. Id argue that Vietnam took Cambodia and sent the KR into exile, installing their own puppet Hun Sen. So they won that one and kept control for quite a while. Vietnams problem was that they were broke. But they defeated China in North Vietnam with just women and elderly farmers. China always lies about their aims and goals etc. but they got their arses kicked, were sent back to China and the Viets didnt even need to send their own main forces back to do it. The Domino Effect was correct but it was Soviet allied Domino or a Chinese controlled Domino. One or the other. Those places were falling, its just that China and the Soviet Union hated each other, hence their allies did too.
