Brilliant interview with Jill. I learned so much about what really goes on in the film world regarding the creative process, and color grading in particular. Great job, Qazi. Your channel is one that I will always stay subscribed to,
This channel gets better and better. And thank you for listening to Jill; you have a great interview technique. Keep up the inspiring work and I wish you every success going forward. M
She looks young, but she's a legend. She did the DI for O Brother Where Art Thou? meaning she was there for the beginning of digital color grading to begin with. Much respect to her, and to you for posting this valuable interview.
Okay.... watched 2 of your videos... You gained an extra subscriber and thank you for this amazing content ! I will have to go through all your videos now :)
Super amazing Thanks Qazi Dono y u wea not hia all along bt we are glad u r hea for us Thank u 4 hosting Jill Very epic experience listening to her God bless you
I'm loving this series. I'm a one man production company. I do the lighting, shooting, editing, audio and coloring. I do it all in Resolve. But if there's one thing I would love to do exclusively, it is color grading. I love lighting and grading the most of the entire workflow
Wow that's so amazing! I'm so happy I found your channel cause it really makes me feel like I can actually achieve my dream of getting into the hollywood business as a filmmaker. Thank you for that.
Good work qazi! I was thinking that if you could recreate some of the horror movie shots, just to give us a lil bit of spook especially when Halloween is around the corner.
i have watched this wonderful conversation for the 2nd time and i think its priceless....thank u once again...luv u so much for giving us this kind of opportunity...God bless u sir❤️
Thank you for this great video , one of the best things I’ve watched on UA-cam in awhile :) coming from film classes and film sets it’s almost like nostalgia of great professionals / teachers !! 👍
6:42 that "so amazing" you whispered to yourself was like "I wish that was me working with all those important awesome people". Well buddy, I hope one day you will. You are definitely a talented person so it's not even a doubt.
You are awesome Qazi This is my fav look man. Your content changing my Life and my career man. I thank u from bottom of my heart. I want to learn more from you. I start saving money for buying your full FCM course.
She did Ray (2004)? WOAH!That's the look I aspire for. The strong, pastel earth tones and perfect contrast! I'm soberly getting high with this content!
Thanks. Fantastic content. Idea for the future: make a footage with an actual camera & mic also, and ask the subject to do the same, so the audio is more clear, and not this voice call quality which is hard to understand.
Amazing! I've finally done my most job and have time to watch this in my list, and so inspired! even I'm not a colorist but a editor, I'm still inspired by how I need to think about what's in my DNA and how to open my eyes, thank you both!
I'm just hoping you would make the video horizontally. so that your faces will be bigger on screen to give us more details instead of vertical look like this.
calling it now. she's an INTP. someone that hungry for knowledge could only be an INTP. as scientists INTPs are the nerdy stereotype you'd see on cheap sitcoms. as creatives, we're an unstoppable force that devours everything related to our field/craft. i got into coloring from wanting to make GOOD music videos. i got into music videos from being a music producer and audio engineer and i got into that because i was a huge hip hop fan. everything we touch might seem unrelated, but at the root source, there's something we will always love.
What do you rather have an interview or no interview? It's hard enough for professionals to take the time then you'll tell them to now but lights cameras and proper mic 😂 c'mon man.
Even in front of a webcam she makes a teal and orange contrast with the wall and her hair, and a three point lighting !
💯
Rembrandt lighting
@@sabirsirofficial Thank's !
Lol 😆
Honestly thought her lighting looked shit. Needed to get rid of that natural light which conflicts with the key light

FIRST! Thank you Qazi!!!

Just one question though, why didn’t you put the videos side by side instead on top of one another?
Instagram
I thought the same thing. Side by side, they both would have been larger. Maybe it was a hardware issue.
It's instagram live.

I'm an INTP so this makes me feel special haha
INTP is the worst, going ballsdeep into everything and suddenly losing interest is not how you get anywhere.
