I was fortunate to take my little reel-to-reel tape recorder to her Youthquake Fashion Show in KC, MO in the late 1960's. I was able to interview Mary and Alexander and it was fabulous.
The shoes were fused to the stockings? I don't understand what's going on with the shoes at all.
Rest in Peace, adorable, darling Mary Quant. Thank you for making fashion so fun when I was a teenager💝

As a young woman in the mid ‘60’s, I was sharing a flat in Earls Court, London, working for an ad agency.. all of the “girls” at the company were into Mary Quant fashion.. it was so much fun to wear minis and boots, not to mention our heavy bangs and short hairstyles… what a great time to be young!

50 years after Mary Quant fashions and Marimekko fabrics, many women in the U.S. dress up to look like Liberace. The next time you see a woman who is beautifully dressed you should stop her and tell her how smart she looks because she is clearly an exception. And don't ask me about women at the supermarket. THAT is usually a fashion disaster. (as in Walmart people videos)
Should bring back quant fashion,clothes,boots,makeup.she does go to the shop to consult.but no sign of the quant look,very annoying.
