Thanks for the latest video. SDRAngel is so feature rich it can be overwhelming most of the time. Since finding your original videos on the topic, I’ve learned so much. This new Morse decoder is yet another great resource I have to learn. I’ve been hoping to see a new video release on your channel and here it is. Thanks for all the time you put into sharing your knowledge. I look forward to the next video and the one after that and the one after that.

Even though i did the video based on a Win11 install... I do have this running on 22.04 on same machine. I had to compile manually and that takes a long time to do.

Fascinating. I just stumbled on your video, and can't say I understood more than 20% of what you were doing. Are there many amateur radio operators sending out Morse on radio? Why? What are the messages typically about?

Hi there and welcome to the channel. Morse code is still popular. Most communications between people are usually just exchange of callsigns, signal reports and basic information. Others may include people who communicate using portable equipment from parks and they typically share a special park location numbers. Others may send more detsiled information like a conversation which is known as ragchew. Some organizations like the ARRL also broadcast bulletins about news and space weather. Have fun. Its an interesting topic. Please have a look at other videos to fill in the blanks. :)

If you click your mouse into the frequency box, try using your up and down arrows to change frequency and then use your left and right arrows to adjust to frequency of choosing. One thing that may take getting used to is display is in kHz and MHz, so 000,007,480khz instead of 7.048 MHz. When you get higher in frequency, like 1.090 GHz, the display will read as 001,090,000 kHz. Hope this helps. As you use your arrow keys, you should see the background color change on that digit too.
