1:28 Actor for Mephisto’s acting is supreme here. The subtle sinister energy he gives off is absolutely outstanding. Overall this actor for Mephistopheles was perfect.
Sad things is, Cirian Hinds is actually a good actor and can play a good villain. His portrayal of Julius Caesar in HBO’s Rome proves it. But yeah, he was horribly miscasted. He needs to be a bigger, a villain who speaks softly, but causes disaster. Mephisto is cunning and prideful, he relishes in being the dealing devil. I would love to see Hinds as Nightmare or Malbogia (I know not Marvel but sill). Or hell, he could have been a great Dormannu.
I loved how ridiculous and almost comically over the top everything in this movie was. It was dripping with pure almost silly levels of edge. Its exactly the superhero movie that I needed to take my mind off daredevil. Peter's performance here as Mephistopheles the demon is great he eats the scenery and just screams evil. And Cage really did well bringing Johnny Blaze to life. Id say its up there with Blade. Top tier
Funnily enough, Mark Steven Johnson was the writer and director for both Daredevil & Ghost Rider. If you can find it, I highly recommend the director's cut of Daredevil. It fixes a ton of issues, even complete characters arcs and adds characters who were missing.

Or Doug Jones as the body reference for when Mephisto gets a rightfully horrifying design (red guy in a cape and speedo might not be enough), while the voice dub is Fonda himself?
I'm mildly annoyed by how memetic it's become to jokingly reference Mephisto in discussions about the MCU while awaiting for his debut but people completely ignore the fact he was actually depicted here. I'm also hyped for his eventual movie return but this portrayal is still worthy of respect.
No he’s not one of the strongest beings in marvel omniverse. This guy is not the biblical devil like in DC. He’s just another magic user much like dormammu or strange. He’s even much inferior to dormammu. Not to mention vastly powerful cosmic entitites like galactus, celestials etc.
