it is simple-just keep your cherie dependent....no land, just lease or rent,no weekly allowance,go shop yourself
if she is still with you after a year then you could try next step
treat them as children, they need guidance and scolding
give her ample chances to do stupid things so you could see what she is really made of
people don't understand what no money no honey means-just that don't allow her to spend all your money
if she leaves you could simply go to round 2 because you still have money

@@stanleybrown2888 You hear something i didn't say so let me explain further
Third world is different as a society, many countries doesn't have pension system and most of a people doesn't even have banking account let alone credit card so they have no concept of saving for a future, they live in a day for a day
Once they made interesting test-they tell children in a test here is a candy you could eat it BUT if you wait for 10 minutes you get one candy more.Guess what happened vast majority of children didn't wait.So children same as women(ad surely men too)of underdeveloped countries have no concept or initiative of savings, planing, basics that makes person in western society responsible adult hence i said treat them as children
Even in a west a lot of people do stupid decisions with credit cards so don't expect your cherie to be prudent with your money

You could call turd excrement but it is same thing
You must be American, Europeans talk more direct
i always smirk when i hear expression african American...so how do you call if white person (and there are millions in South Africa) becomes American?White african American?
Just be careful enough to prevent inexperienced and unadjusted Malagasy woman expertly adjust your bank account
Maybe she doesn't know John Dos Pasos but she knows Benjamin Franklin(on 100$ bill of course)

It is hard to know the difference especially if you don’t know Malagasy
If you really want to stay learn the language. I promise you can find the right one if you can actually communicate with them and the people. Anything can be said and you will never know.

Hey mate, what’s your opinions on Nosy Boraha aka Isle sainte Marie on the east coast of Madagascar? It looks very nice just as nice as nosy be from what there is on the internet maybe the next opportunity?

I’ve never been there but for sure it’s a small paradise with everything you could won’t at a lower price than nosy be, I have a feeling that a week would be long enough to stay there though

Big difference in age is suspicious anyway. After that malagasy families are big, who knows you could arrive as a milking cow for them through your spouse.
But generally malagasy are lovely people, tempered by hardship.
I ask an opinion from vasah on island about local womens and potential relationship and there are different views, so for me isn't a clear what to do.
Like you once said: "you cannot take with you something from Mada". It's like, you must be ready to loose (at least your material gains) when you come to island. It's most the question: how much you're ready afford to loose with your wife? But in life you have the choice, sometimes it works well, sometimes not. Like buying the car....

If you find a person to love in Madagascar with a big family the best thing to do is move 1000kms to the other side of the island with them. I have found that distance from there family makes the pocket grow stronger

I have been married and living in Madagascar for almost a year now. I'm American and don't speak French. I met my wife on a vacation and after I went home we continued talking. I had her attend English lessons and she can speak very well. I am slowly learning malagasy but I have trouble with languages, it's just difficult for me. But we live close to her family and there have been many times that they ask for money but I am pretty strict about not giving away anything.
