  • One day I decided to be a speed runner. I opened up The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD and started running blind! It went... as expected

this was pretty good, the editing is little awkward but i really dig the vibe.

@@foddercannonnI wrote that before i went to sleep so I feel kind of bad about saying that honestly, its just i'm very anal about editing and the thing about basic clip comps is its very hard to criticize constructively and I don't really know what type of style your looking for here, if I was making this I would probably add a little more structure to clips here with some light commentary in post to build on top of what's there, clip comps can be very dry when your not like a jerma or wayneradio type creator who is always on and always doing something thats worth watching in a vacuum, so it's always good to find a way to combat that.
I like your personality and you're not super awkward on camera, which is half the battle honestly, but as a new viewer when I see something like "my first speedrun ever!" I expected something a little more structured or personal about the experience of a beginner doing a wind waker speedrun then just a normal clip comp.
The only thing I could say that counts as constructive and the one part that I would consider truly awkward is if your explaining a trick like at 0:19 please refrain from using music during stream if you can't trust yourself to one take andy it, cutting up speech like that makes everything jarring for the viewer as we're hearing as much of the music as we are of you talking. And (if you want) try splicing in footage of the skip with an example video (using your own clip would be considered ethical), this will help keep a rhythm (important!) for the viewer.
I wish I could give you something that you can actually use but I'm just a dumb bozo on the internet lmao

@mrwebzone Dont feel bad about the comment! If you feel like that comment was mean I think you are in a good place in life. This is all good feedback. Im still very new at video editing so any feedback helps. I definitely agree with your comment at 0:19. if i do a monologue i plan to cut up, it should not be on the title screen that has loud ass music so i can add some background later. I do plan to go more into a narration style and do a bit more after editing but im still getting my feet wet. Maybe even doing script writing. Thank you again for taking the time to respond. Happy Thanksgiving if you observe!
