I can't believe the first season was 10 years ago, but that Gen 1 chassis looks way different compared to the more futuristic Gen 3 of today. Those liveries for that season were quite good. Looking forward for more FE season reviews!
The original Formulec EF-01 is based on the Gould GR59 chassis which is the current car to have in the British Hillclimb Championship, fitted with an engine of your choice, seen everything from a motorcycle engine to Indy and Le Mans engines
I love Formula E, even though at first it was kind of boring (except for the first race in Beijing, which was iconic). However since Gen3 this series is going in the right direction, and the races are truly entertaining.
It's a shame you didn't mentioned anything about off-the-screen struggle of Formula E. Generally before Miami ePrix the Series was literally hours from bancrupcy
Well told, making Formula E interesting is harder than driving it. FE feels more like 'Ultimate Karting', not a "real" class like F2, F Ford, F Vee etc. Cheers JW from CBR, AU.
@@jedlin1256 agreed, but every title decider seems to have had it's own unique drama. Out of 10 FE seasons, 7 of them were decided by the final race of that season.
Gen 2 was the best era to watch formula e In my opinion. These gen 3 cars make overtaking more difficult and the wings fall off when they slightly touch with anything
Thr Racing you're describing is the 'peloton' boring racing where everyone is just saving energy up until the final lap. I can't remember the last time formula e has had a wet race as well honestly now that I think about it. The attack mode hasn't been as effective as it used to be as well it's somewhat pointless now
@@sadikurrahman4833 probably London or New York. Attack mode always was shit and the whole thing is worse with the silly qualifying thing they have going as well. Someone made a video of the racing and dubbed it as a bicycle race
Personally i like attack mode. It was actually useful in gen 2 and provuded more strategy and overtaking opprtunity unlike the gen 3 era where for some reaosn lighter and smaller cars have resulted in less ocertaking. The only so called overtakes are in peloton racing @@SirHRDking
The gen 2 years were rhe best years for me in my opinion. You had a record number of winners in one season with a lot of drivers in their prime. There were more overtaking opportunities with the gen 2 cars with the introduction of attack mode.

Some fantastic racing in formula e, great video, would love to see more Formula E content
The fact that Formula E is 10 years old this year makes me feel old.
Happy 10th anniversary, Formula E! Here's to another decade of electric racing!
Be watching seen the first race 10 years later and the sport is still going strong

Wether they like it or not, that first race crash put the series on the map. No crash then the series might not have survived the decade.

FE Season 7 finale was another epic title decider.
Epic was last season decider. This one was more bizzare, where all title contenders were dropping one by one.

there seems to be very intense title fights since the pandemic but for some reason, formula e now just feels dead

Gen 1 was great, Gen 2 was awesome (but looked like WEC) and Gen 3 was a mistake.
First shit was magic, last shit was tragic

The subtle nice at 69 points
I agree with the conclusion of the video. The Gen1 era was the best of Fe.I feel the series has "dropped the ball" since the Gen2 years.

Never been a fan of formal e nor a fan of Moto e , don't like the look and the sound
Missing out mate, has some great racing
@@nightavenger375 I do watch it because of my nephew, but the earlier cars were ugly and it's the sound I hate
