Ive had a dream where i was in mario 64, and peach’s castle was filled with stained glassed windows, strange lighting effects, and some other stuff. Bowser would chase you if you didnt beat the game fast enough, or if you died too many times. Creepy
i also had a dream from mario 64, i was playing in my ds to super mario 64 ds and at the top of the castle there was wario and you needed to defeat him in a race in all of the levels to unlock him and then i did that and gor some reason wario appeared at my grandpa's house to eat pie and help him to build a 3rd floor to his house (btw sorry for bad english, this was rushed)
Years before seeing the “Wet Dry World Negative emotional aura” iceberg meme I thought the same thing myself. The skybox photo always reminded me of the Ancestral ruins I’ve seen in the Southwest. And something about the whole level just gives me an eerie feeling.
I really wish people would talk about WDW's "negative aura" because I felt that back in the day, even on the DS port. Hell, it felt even stronger on the DS, but that could just be because that was my first experience with SM64.
When I was around 7 I used to watch my uncle play this a lot, and always thought it was so mysterious. I never got to play it until recently, and while I was playing it I got this weird sense of nostalgia.
I've dreamt recently about the castle exterior, but it had a bunch of doors, even metal doors behind the waterfall! It was just so confusing and maze-like... I want to make a rom hack or fangame around that concept some time!
I see what you're saying, considering the massive spire in middle. However, there appears to be a second spire closer to the left half of the image. Truly intriguing!
5:10 im pretty sure this screenshot would've been taken in a custom csgo map, only figured this out based on the fact that the exit sign used is a model found in the map "cs_office"
God, animated videos; I remember SMG4 back in the day, really cool guy, funny too, it’s something I consider a part of my childhood. Surprised to have seen this later than sooner! Also, 3:19 is just where I go after doing nothing all day, don’t worry.
Wait but like why😢 I genuinely mean it. I grew up with Super Mario 64 it's such a staple in my childhood. The community content is so broad, I didn't even mention the YTPs or music video edits. If you really mean that, it makes me feel insecure about my writing 😭 thanks for watching though.

@@johnr6087the music definitely doesn't help either. It's much less upbeat than most of the music in the game.

Not really since it's a painting.
The mystery is of Wet or Dry. And where does the solution lie? The city welcomes visitors for the depth they bring as they enter.

4:58 This image is in B3313 rom hack. It's pretty cool when I went there in the game.
I just now saw this but I love it so much! Thank you truly Shookey! Maybe do more SM64 content?
Will do my friend! Thanks for checking out the video!
The exit sign actually completely ruins the effect for me because now I know that was just gmod 😅
kinda how I felt LOL, just took me straight out of the immersion
Hope to see another video covering this or covering spaces from a different game
Got any specific examples in mind? I'd be happy to make a follow-up!
you should definitely do more SM64

That would be pretty awesome ngl. Always wanted something behind the waterfall, rather then popping out of it!
you didnt show the irl Mario 64 castle pictures from that Mexico amusement park but thats good which makes it more unknown
