I was given a 2 blade Case Barlow by my grandpa when I turned 12. I'm 53 and still carry that same knife. As far as I'm concerned I'll be buried with it.
Your welcome. The one with the leather strap is a Compact, and trust you me my friend I have quite a collection of Hammer brands knives...and Camillus...and SAK...😂 Enjoy them, yep im Eric.
Thank you very much!! I love those knives man!! Thanks again!!
What a wonderful gift of knives..! I love your UA-cam channel..!
Those knives got new home.
What a great package of knives and some really old knives that are still new stay sharp Kevin
Wow…Those Hammer-knifes are sweet!
Like those hammer brand knives ,keep on --keep on
I would never had guessed those are 80 year old knives, they look essentially band new. That snap is amazing!
That Prov Cut Co.... I have the same model as it belonged to my great grandfather. It's beat to heck and they were just cheap pocket knives back then anyways... It was left forgotten in one of his tackle boxes and found sorting his things after he passed, like I said beat up and rusted closed. Despite no real value, it was his, so I did my best to clean it up, get it functional again and it is in my collection today. Those pre war Hammer Brand knives are beautiful. Congrats on being able to add them to your collection. Great video and SF brother.
Some really nice knives in that package!
Christmas came late, for the Knife Doctor,,,, better late then etc etc..... I covet almost every one.
More blessings,my brother.
Semper Fi, Marine..😊
It looks like Eric sent his whole collection! Beautiful knives. I have about four of those hammer brand knives, and they’re all very snappy and easy to sharpen. Roughrider is an import brand, but they make so many patterns that are not made anymore and the cost is so good you can carry it and not worry about if something happens to it. Smoky Mountain knife Works really knocks it out of the park without line. Great video!
Great gifts❤
A Great packet of knives Kevin
Great content....very old knives look mint almost !!!
Providence Cutlery was also part of Imperial.
I have a old timer Barlow just like that craftsman knife mine was made in 1963 it was a knife you got from Prince Albert labels
Great video!
I like a rough rider, they are inexpensive rather than cheap. If you mess one up, no big deal but they are tough as woodpecker lips.
Your content gets better with every vid.
I would love a peek at that personal collection you keep adding knives to.
Thanks for sharing Doc.
The 2 layer black Victorinox looks like the compact model.
It is!! Thank you!
Great sessions lovin it 👍✌🏻🤙🙏🏼🇨🇦😊
you are a lucky man- you have set u this channel so welll
Really nice 👍
Ok thank u so much I appreciate it. Your welcome I'm really enjoying your videos both hunting knives and refinishing them.
Awesome!!
That was a sweet package from Eric. I live about 50 minutes north of Belhaven in Creswell NC!
That’s awesome!! I did a detail up there at Cape Hatteras and stayed at Nags Head for 90 days.
@@theknifedoctor that's cool, I'm about an hour away from Nags Head
Kevin, you racked up with that package! Those are some good knives he sent you. I can't wait to see what you do with them. Another Great video!
Personally, I'm a big fan of the guys who - when every other channel gets a blind box almost completely full of garbage - they somehow manage to always get boxes that are almost 50% Victorinox and Leatherman products. 🤣
They rough ryders do actually have good quality 9/10 only downside is where their made but they’re honestly a steal for their prices
Absolutely. Rough Rider knives could compete with multiple slip joints and win. The fit and finish is nuts and there’s actually a lot of work that goes into them. A lot of them have the same steel as other slip joints anyways.
Or climber it's got the hook on the back may be the compact awsome
Great stuff, really neat to see. Thank you very much
Wow, some really nice knives there, brother! Awesome! Have a great weekend!
Ordering that book soon as I get paid
The Kutmaster broken blade must have been a life and death situation! Ha. Car broke down, had to pry off a bad radiator hose, to repair it and get home to the family! Just kidding. Doc you might have to research for me when you have an early knife, with what you refer to a plastic blade? I have seen on Antique Roadshow and American Pickers that plastics were made at a certain time? before that or after the invention of plastics there was Bake lite? Maybe, could these skins be Bake lite? I have no clue.
The victorinox is the spartan model
Wow Eric sent the heat for sure. Love to watch ya man. I've recently started doing the same but disabled so have a hard time getting out and finding them. I'll just have to watch lol til I get another project but man I love messing with them old knives😊
Awesome!! God Bless Sir!!
@The Knife Doctor I really don’t like the Newer RR stamp on their bolsters. But that older RR stamp looks great on that Barlow.
Should have added. For a Chinese made knife, the Rough Ryder Reserve’s are great.
At some point you are going to end up with a thousand knives and you won’t remember where they came from! Haha
I already don’t. LOL
Love that ruff rider Barlow. I would trade you a case amber bone lock blade knife for it.
It was old in my Tunnels To Towers Charity Auction. I’m having another one the first week in April!
Can you make a video of how to center an off-center slip joint blade?
I'm 77 and I don't have that much Snap ha
LOL
RR knives are hit & miss but I've had some nice ones!
👍✌️👌❤️🇨🇦
Very Nice Gifts indeed! I got a question for you Doc... The price guide you have. I have it also. The prices in there. How far off do you think they are to today? What percentage mark-ups do you figure is in line for now? I know the eBay sales drive pretty much everything nowadays. But, there's got to be a medium for these book prices. Since they are so outdated. Your thoughts Doc? 😊
Very cool knives. What was the name if that book I need to get one
I just love them 80 to 100 yrs old
You can find them cheaper on eBay. I’m just sharing this link to show you the Name of the book. He wrote several. This is the latest and it came out in 2008. Thanks for watching! amzn.to/3UfssAT
Really like your channel I like the buck lites made in the 80s all so like the old saber 1 blade Barlow me and my buddy wad fishing up in Northern Maine I found a buck lite sticking in a stump I gave it to him that was in the mid 80s he still has it to this day he is in Alaska I am in south east ky military buddy's are the best thank you for your service keep up the great work
I do Love Rough Ryder, but they are made in China theese days, so I guess its not for you, Kevin😉
I thaught you hated China made knives
Hate is such a STRONG Word. 😉
He made a keep pile and a junk pile lmao USA keep others gone lol
No…one is for my personal collection and the others will go in my other collection. LOL
👍✌️👌❤️🇨🇦
