You forgot to mention- Vocals- Kotono from Ironbunny and Drums/Piano- THE Kanade from Muses. That's where the jazz comes in. Oh, and the bass player is Wakazaemon.
Kanade Sato has long been recognized as one of the top drummers in Japan, if not the world, and she's just 21. Up until now she's been, for the most part, a fusion drummer. Check out Koiai's rendition of Automatic.
Met Kanade back in 2019 in London when she was performing there with another band. Saw them rehearse, perform at a metal festival, then a day or two later we all walked around in the British Museum. Well-known bassist Juna Serita was also in the band. As with other Japanese musicians I know, they are generally quiet, a little shy perhaps, kind, pleasant and polite. But onstage- WOW!
Lisa-X was the opening for Polyphia's Japan concerts. Polyphia was there also for Babymetal's Fox Fest, they played "Brand New Day" for the 1st time live with Babymetal. As Marty-Metal mentioned, Kotono was a dancer for Babymetal. All roads lead to Babymetal. I was happy to hear this song, Koiai is rather pop rock otherwise.
hey Dunk-Metal, the singer Kotono, was in Iron Bunny, but right before that in 2018, she was a backup dancer for BABYMETAL in the Dark Night Carnival with the Chosen Seven Lore, just wanted to add a connection to BM, but yeah this KOIAI band is kickass.
Three superstar musicians, guitarists Lis-a-X, Hazuki and drummer Kanade Sato. Kanade, now age 21, was a child prodigy who started performing at age 6, with some of Japan's top musicians. Lis-a-X was a very famous child prodigy, and Hazuki a big star with Nomophilia and other bands.
I’m so glad you “get it.” I’ve watched other reaction videos and some of them are just clueless, including reactors I have generally liked. It’s like they want the music to be all wrapped up in some nice package with a bow on it. A lot of the best music out there is not like that. A lot of people have referred to the slower sections as circus music but it’s actually a style called cabaret. The best use of it was by a band called Kaizers Orchestra, a Norwegian alternative rock band (and a hell of a party band too).
This now my favorite song to come down the chute. I try to only listen to this song, only by my favorite reactors to get a good response and reaction. Oh, and welcome back Just Dunk we missed you.
five super ladies indeed (and I'm a traitor, cuz I've been waitin for years that Kanade joins Babymetal, but I'm ok with Hideki and Anthony Barone haha). Still waiting that Kanade does a gig with the Aristocrats like Senri Kawaguchi once did. Seeing her with Marco Minnemann was just awesome.
"Only after Senri" ?? Come on - she can't no longer compete with Kanade even on jazz genre and I can only LOL how poor she would have been doing this! :D
This is what happens when a few musical prodigies get together and play fusion.

And I failed to mention, I think Lisa-X just turned 19 recently

The drummer Kanade Sato from Muses joined the band, but Waka-chan is a supporter bassist.
This is a very good song, but this is not koiai's usual style. I hope they can make more songs like this instead of being close to pop rock music.
I’m with you!
Li-Sa-X came out of the womb great on guitar.

Hey, don't forget the lefty base player, Wakazaemon, who was a member in Marty Friedman's American tour last year.
@@socrateos Yeah, but she's not a regular member of the group. Maybe she will become one.
BRO! That goes SO hard!!!!! Total face melter!!! I love it! ❤
Kanade, all day! ❤

Hazuki my favorite guitarist ❤

Li-sa-X 🤘🎸
KOIAI has also recruited the young Kanade Sato (21), the best Japanese female drummer... only after Senri Kawaguchi.😎

Don't forget Yoyoka.
LiSAの応援、よろしく!
