    That Pippen + Jordan double team on Magic near the end...can't imagine. Great game. This is one of the last seasons I've seen where the refs didn't hand fouls out willy-nilly. These teams really played like units instead of individuals looking to hit scoring benchmarks.

      watch the game in it's entirety and this is probably the worst played game of the series. Very lackluster performance on both sides especially in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. Should've been a blowout by the Bulls but for some reason Jordan seemed to be holding back. He might have been hiding an injury.

    Is anyone noticing that MJ guarded Magic on almost every possession?
    I’m not saying this to discredit Pippen. I’m saying it because many people say MJ didn’t guard the best players.
    MJ needed Pip and MJ is still the 🐐

      Exactly, the media just lies and even the Stephen A’a of the world who say MJ is the GOAT feed into this false narrative

    I remember as a kid waiting for a run that just never came. The Bulls were younger and hungrier. It was just their time.

      Had they another scorer/ball handler to help Magic the series may have been different. Also an interior presence. Grant killed them in this series.

    This was the game where the Bulls knew they were world champions.... this one was the statement game -- see the Lakers could have taken control over this series in game 2 and game 3 had they played basic and went for the kill -- those first 3 games is where Chicago was unsure, after that game 3 OT win, they went for the kill as they Lakers should have done.

      I knew it was over during G2 because Mike got everyone involved, Bulls were so crushed after G1.

    • @plainsimple244
      @plainsimple244 Рік тому

      @@GeoAce777 I knew it was over when Chicago beat Detroit, it was a foregone conclusion that the Bulls would win but the coaching staff of the Lakers, along with Magic Johnson played right into the hands of the Bulls - they could have won that series but Magic wants everyone else to win once he's won, he's done this throughout his entire career, enjoyed the success of his opponents, so there's no competition at all with Magic, especially without Cooper and Kareem; had they had Cooper it would have benefited the Lakers or another ball handler -- how can you have just one guy who can handle the ball? Stupid.

    There's usually that point in a series where it's rather obvious who is the better team. It was here in Game 4 that it was Chicago.

    Even though the Lakers would loose this series by what seemed on paper by a lopsided margin (4 games to 1); it felt so much closer than that thru the first 4 games. Except for game 2, every game was fun and relatively close. Lakers should have one game 3 but let it slip. Who knows what that could have done to their confidence going forward at the old Forum. Divac and Worthy played great! And Magic did his thing! Lest we forget the amazing 3 pointer by Sammy Perkins in game 1 in Chicago for the only and thrilling Laker Win! I was 14 years old at the time. Now 47! Great and sweet memories growing up in Tijuana playing ball and following the Lake Show!
