Neither dies switch, will buy for ps4 as well if get physical release like ut should of from get go, but sadly dud, classic collection is great, 15 hour and counting playing only offline, witch was the point of these 2 ganes in past and still is not the crappy online
i payed 30 dollars for a game that i already have but its broken and didnt even get the damn bf1 loading screen right, and i thought since they made the price so high it would be amzing, and if the storage is over 60 gigs i expect stuff to look good but side by side to the pc versions that have been out for many years i see no differnce, i made a huge mistake in preordering because im young and stupid and full of hope and aspyer took my heart and crushed it into dust and i will never trust a gaming company to preorder a game ever again.
I will be honest, I couldn’t care less for the multiplayer. I didn’t buy it to play multiplayer I bought it to play the single player modes cause that’s how I remember playing the game.
I was only playing this version because I couldn't find the multiplayer mod and also lost the discs for battlefront 1. Have since found both. Might do 1-2 more streams as a sendoff and then play the originals again
I had NO PROBLEMS on the PS5, at least for the single player modes. I bought/pre-ordered this game four days before release. I pre-ordered it because I’ve never played Star Wars Battlefront (2004), so I played BOTH The Clone Wars AND Galactic Civil War campaigns, then I went to the one I FONDLY remember, which Star Wars Battlefront II (2005). I really play the 2017 Star Wars Battlefront II now just to complete the daily challenges, which is STILL fun, ESPECIALLY with the heroes vs. Villains related challenges. I’ll probably get back into it tomorrow, since I’ve been playing the 2005 Battlefront, haven’t tried the XL mode on instant action yet.
Some of us are still playing the 2005 steam version and there's a small community still playing the game on PS2. PC Version for CC is basically dead now, Psn is nearing dead. If they fix their network infrastructure and allow the option for self-hosted PC dedicated servers through providers like the old Art of war central, there is a legitimate chance at this game becoming big and staying relevant for a while.
If classic collection was free at epic games store on May 4th it would be interesting but now probably not it’s probably gonna be OG Star Wars singleplayer game
yeah, damn shame that the multiplayer wasnt revived like they promised. i havent been able afford any new games since Helldivers dropped so im honestly kinda thankful i missed this launch. i still play the classic version on my PC but ill still probably pick this up when it goes on sale so i can splitscreen it with my dad or friends or something and relive some nostalgia.
I enjoy it rn. Haven’t tried much multiplayer play and I swear instant action with hero’s vs villains if you pick villains I don’t think it’s possible to win lol but I been doing all conquest then story after that since it’s patched

It's not doomed, it's a great collection port, that's fun to play, I've put over 15 hours in and counting already, cause unlike the idiots that's hating on it, I played the original ps2 versions back in the day and know that it isn't and never was about the online crap, but offline modes, and offline multi-player, not the inferior, even back in day and unnecessary online mode fir these 2 games

Crazy that at least for PS5 the game ran smooth for me and I was able to get through all the campaigns with no crashes or anything like that. Haven’t tried the multiplayer but I had heard so much bad shit I didn’t touch it yet lol
Single player on the Classic Collection (at least on Xbox Series X/S & Xbox One), is still very glitchy, buggy and has a lot of play control issues (especially when compared to the 2004 & 2005 originals - which you can still download from the Xbox digital store and play via backwards compatibility)....no patch or update for the Xbox consoles had been released yet... In my opinion, downloaded the originals (cheaper, takes up less file space, has already been graphically enhanced in 2018, has all the Xbox exclusive DLCs & doesn't have glitches, bugs or any play control issues any more). Just play single-player thats where all the memories are, some people say the same thing that its not like before and they are referring to multiplayer. Single-player is a lil wonky but playable, just remove the aim assist and you good. Kashyyyk draw distance in bf1 is super trippy though. The AI is way more better than before especially in BF1 with the heroes not being useless and actually do something rather than rolling to the sides. Multiplayer was never my thing in those 2 games so i really dont care what happens to it, im just here for the updated 60fps visuals and AI for single-player. Multiplayer is just a plus. Their big mistake is having to not test it out before launch, i mean 32v32... yea those games never had that capability to hold that many players on console so checking on that was a must and thats probably why the online is so laggy. It just sucks till they get this right.
Love 💕 movie 🍿 and books remember playing this game on Sony PlayStation 2 was fun back then and now looking at trailer it okay not perfect but really hid fixed the game problem for people you played the game

I’m currently playing although not online. I grew up playing BF2 on my PSP so I never really had the online option. So it’s just like playing it when I was a kid except now it has more maps and characters that the PSP version of the game didn’t have so im a pretty happy camper for now. Would be awesome to have online function properly though.

I think people are overreacting, they may of stumbled with a few notable early release bugs but the devs have already released a patch on the PC version that fixes the most prominent ones and that patch will soon be coming to consoles once its gone through the approval processes. Aside from a few early release bugs, the online multiplayer for the most part has been really awesome (Switch version player)!
I'm hoping the consoles get their update soon. I don't want Aspyr to abandon one version of the games. I currently have Star Wars Battlefront classic collection on my switch lite.
I refunded it, online lag unbearable. No auto aim..needed the money anyway back. Was fun, but if it's fixed then I may buy it again. May 4th if not fixed, no repurchase.
It’s the Star Wars community what do you expect. These are the same people who whined and complained about how Ea BF2 is awful and an embarrassment yet now will die on a hill for it. They complain about player count yet tell everyone to stay away from it and refund it. I’ve enjoy it besides 2 bugs and the fact nobody wants to play CTF😔
I’m just gonna be real here: now that the game has been out, we all let our inner karen complaints out, and we’ve had the time to process everything happening and PLEASE DO NOT SMITE me for saying this but: I just don’t care about the issues NEARLY AS MUCH as everyone else has blowing it up to be!!😐🫡🫥 now just because I say this doesn’t mean that I don’t care about the issues at all! I do! It’s just that it doesn’t bother me anywhere near as much as it might for a lot of others! I see the issues that people point out as something only “Classic Battlefront Diehards” who’ve done so much with these 2 games to the point where they practically have the code files all folded out over their rooms and filled to the brim with mods because they’ve ran out of things to do officially, NOT something that even the most average player like me would make a fit over! I’ve already blown plenty of steam against negative reviews and I do not plan on letting out anymore (but if you call me a dam “apologist” consider yourself dead inside💀💀) I do believe Battlefront Classic Collection WILL GET BETTER! now matter how much the internet will be willing to tell me why I’m a complete idiot and that it’s F’d for the rest of time! Been playing it on Xbox for almost a week. Been super fun, nostalgic, and playable. Only had a few glitches here and there.
I can't even have fun because I can't invert the controls.

The switch version is thriving. Still, how they botched it so bad on other platforms is unacceptable.
You can't play as Mace Windu or Qug'on in EA BF2 but don't worry, you can play as fish lip Finn!

That's a great question for the console companies. They're the ones who are lagging with their submission and certification process.
