I appreciate the feedback. I only want to buy once, and if it means spending a bit more up front, then im all for it.
I'll probably end up purchasing a Scangrip 8 Connect so I can use my Dewalt batteries.

Yea. If they made “connect” in the version I currently own I would buy it too. Having one battery system is underrated.

You can buy an adapter and use Milwaukee batteries with the scangrip multimatch

      are you sure?
Scangrip sells a line of battery connectors that are part of the "connect" line of lights, they work with the NOVA and AREA lights, which use a 5 pin connector. The multimatch lights are a 4 pin connector and use the SPS or scangrip power solution. I found the adapters for connect but not for SPS. Let me know if im missing something, i would love to be wrong about this.

I have 2 of the Multi match Rs. I do like them, but I agree they need to be brighter. I use the built in magnets to attach to my detail cart, which works well. I have to figure out the camera mount for my tripod. I have a rolling Astro tripod which is super cheap compared to the Scangrip rolling tripod.

Thank you so much for this video. Im looking at purchasing my first Scangrip lights and this definitely helped me! Any thoughts on the Multimatch 8?? Overkill or? Also, I was set on buying the Sunmatch 4. I know you prefer the Milwake over the Sunmatch 3, but do you know how it would compare to the 4?? Also, I dont have any milwake tools so i cant say id benefit from purchasing milwake light but would consider it if you feel it would be better lol. Thanks in advance for any reply and thanks for the video!

      Glad it was helpful!
I haven't used the multimatch 8 but i think the 3 is almost overkill. I usually run it on like 50-75% and it has tons of output.
I didnt dislike the sunmatch, it just doesnt have the ability to change the battery so when its dead its dead. Im sure the 4 is a good light with reasonable output and will do just fine. It will be half the price of the Milwaukee with an added battery. I would buy it and try it, worst case on ebay it will pull like 75% of the new cost when its time for you to upgrade.

How do you charge it and how do you know if its fully charge?

the corded power supply has a connection on it for the battery. there is a charge light that changes from red to green when the battery is full.
