The International Chinese 8 Ball Masters was an invitational event. During the four-day Masters, Snooker King Stephen Hendry, led other seven international stars, including German Ralf Souquet, Irish veteran Ken Doherty, 9 ball stars Chris Melling, Darren Appleton, Gareth Potts, Mike Hill and Karen Corr played with 8 Chinese top players.

The Wikipedia link to Chinese 8 Ball seems wrong and bears no resemblance to the game being played in this video. The Wikipedia page linked above says, "From this point forward, balls are pocketed by striking a chosen object ball with the cue stick and causing that ball to contact the cue ball and carom (cannon) off it into a specific pocket by legal means "

This is Chinese 8-Ball, it's a bit of a hybrid of a lot of cue sports. The rules of 8-ball with an American pool ball set but on a scaled-down table with pockets cut similar to a Snooker table.
