Beautiful work, Monsieur. An old watch with an amplitude of more than 300 degrees speaks volumes about the greatness of Yema watches. Merci Beaucoup... ❤️❤️❤️

@@FrenchWatchCollector I have a Marcel & Cie hand wind chronograph, is it something I should get repaired, or is it not worth investing any real money into?
@@rickseconds7676 Hi Rick. I don’t know much about this brand. If you look at it from an investment point of view look for the same watch online and how much it goes for. A service on a chronograph is more expensive as the watch is more complicated. It should be around 500$. If the watch has a sentimental value and you can afford a service you should do it because you will destroy the watch if it is not service
Very neat and thorough refresh of this watch. I’m impressed by the amount of content you manage to put out, I don’t know how you manage that, but kudos to you!
Another great job done! The watch looks gorgeous now, the dial definitely is a thing and you have picked the perfect NATO to match. I love your videos, I learn a lot with them and hopefully I will soon make the leap to restoring my first chrono. I mainly do simple Russian movements now. Keep the good stuff coming!
With that amount of dirt, human skin flakes it is an autopsy or archeology of the watch. Nicely done. The dial should stay the way it is it has wonderful aging but not ruined look. Having Elma you got the most expensive tool for watch service. It makes job doable not just easier, with ultra sonic it takes a lot of time and effort. Two things I'd do add an alcohol at the cleaning stage to and I would let down the power out of the main spring. Great video.
Good job and nice watch. I understand that the old strap was worn, but wow - it was great. I hope the watch will find a new period leather strap in the future. Thank you for the video.
That looks amazingly better, is it normal when regulating a watch when it's room temperature and then putting it on your wrist and letting it get to body temperature and then putting it back on the time grapher it seems to run slower?
@@FrenchWatchCollector I've noticed on Omega 565 or one of my ultra-Cron I've seen five to eight seconds difference slower when it's body temperature so I regulate them slightly fast. My date just with a 3035 is dead on no matter what straight line across the grapher.
Does anyone know where i can find a new glass for a Yema 1976 reference 55110 CHR (auto) 55098 PL? It's the oval shaped watch. Trying to repair this heirloom that belonged to my grandfather with no luck, even contacting Yema themselves and being left without a response. Thanks!
Hi, i have the same yema but with a black dial and the valjoux 7734 . The case is badly damaged on mine and i would like to find another case to restore the watch . Do you have or know someone who can help me out with the case?. I have searched all over the internet for it and cant find any
nice project...I have seen a lot of Yema watches on Ebay with seemed to have bad cases/ bad chrome plating. A pity as most movements were great, like this 7730, not the cheapest movements.

True that the watch are very nice outside but as well inside.
Excellent restoration. Enjoyed it very much. The nato strap finished it off very well.
👍
In 1998 I met a fellow Lois Belmont who was at a technical conference, someone said he was a yema watch executive , nice man
I don’t know him. Yema was making nice watches too
Another great job of restoring that pretty bad looking Yema. Great looking chrono movement.. Liking it..- Tres Bien
Thanks Thomas
Must be nice to wear a piece that you have personally reconditioned! That must be very gratifying...
It is. I can confirm
Great transformation

Young boy , great work .

Beautiful watch and restoration. The strap looks great with the patina'ed dial too.
Thank you Jeff. I like the look as well. I wanted to find a vintage racing strap but I start to like it even more on this nato strap

Yes it is better to let it on for the mainspring to fully unwind
