I have a mixed one names Jett, (female) and my sister got Poppy! (Also female)
They haven’t done much yet but it’s because we got them just last night.

Had this happen with my pair, bought the first one from a housemate who was moving out, however knowing that budgies are social creatures I bought another one to keep him company. As you say, it was WW3 for a couple of days, but after about the third day they'd sorted their differences out and been best mates ever since!
I had two and one died so I decided to get him a new friend. He was extremely happy and wouldn't leave here alone first few days. I kept them in diferent cages next to eachother for a week before puting them together so they could get used to eachother and meet. It is really important because budgies are territorial just like cats.
Your birds are chubby and adorable! I have a male and female pair. They puff up, stretch and start chirping when I walk in and start talking to them. I love them so much.

What do you do whit him when you go to school or work like do you have ur mom look at how they are doing or do you give them extra atention when you get home
@@elias-on-gta I give them extra attention when they're home, and sadly my bird has to stay home-alone but even so, I still turn on some 7-8 hour long budgie sounds and open the TV. As long as there are sound effects around ur budgie, then thats ok :))
Also I usually let them out after I come home for nearly the rest of the day. Talk to them and entertain them after you finish ur school homework .
But me, adding another budgie, my first budgie will just get mad like
“Who the heck is this huh?”
What I did is buy one budgie at first to bond with it, and once it was bonded, I bought another for company. Great video Alen!

I always have two budgies; the green one in my room (Limon) used to live with a brother of his (Sheldon), but Sheldon died, and I got another budgie (Forrest) who tries to bite Limon’s toes and eyes, so I have to keep them separate for safety, and while I’m at school I make sure they have background noise, extra activities (perhaps a treat toy or something else), and I talk to them as much as I can. I wish Forrest didn’t try to kill everything that moves, but he still needs to be cared for

when i started getting into them, i got 2 at the same time. i’ve had them for 6 years and one of them passed away a few months ago. and now the only one i have you can tell is lonely and no happy at all. so friday i’ll be investing for another one and i’m so happy for him. :))

Awww! I love seeing owners kiss their budgies! It's so cute. Budgies are very great for companionship if you want one, but they do need responsibility!
Two or more is best! They are a flock/prey species and need to be part of a social group to feel safe and secure. I have a full time job and I have 7 parakeets. 😁 They all live together in a *giant* cage (seriously you could fit multiple toddlers, 3 petite people, or one medium bear-sized person in that sucker).
And yes they have lots of toys, fresh water, bird seed, and veggies.
Are they stil social with you? like can you get one to stand on your hand and play?
It depends on the budgie if they'll still be social with you. But most of them are. It is selfish to have a budgie alone just because you want them to prefer you.
I brought a new budgie home and my budgie keeps on..kissing? And grooming him on the same day.
Couldn't have said it better myself. Good points. I have two since I am away at work most of the day. They have such fun together. It would be a shame to deny them that companionship. Hi Antonio, they are both males, likely from the same parents even. I find the males get along very well together. Females are in my experience more temperamental, especially when it comes to nesting time. 20 male budgies will get on together but 2 females might fight over 1 nesting box.

Definitely, recommend getting a male partner. They will likely pair up and might breed if you throw in a nest box.

I have several budgies. A couple of them interacted with me at 1st but that ended as soon as it was welcomed by the flock. That's okay with me, I would rather have happy birds than a lonely bird.

Your channel is amazing. Its helped me so much. I got my first bird, a budgie, a week ago. And she already steps up on my finger with little resistance. Sometimes shes excited to do so, especially if im holding a treat, and spins around before getting on.

I have 3 bunge parakeets.. they are so happy together. I feed them vegetables , fruits and seeds. They sing and interact with each other alot. I clean their cage daily and give them fresh water and food daily. They don't interact with me much.. but I do talk to them and they know when it's time to clean and change their food daily. They seem to be very happy together. On warm days I take their cage outside and they love it.. ♥

Uwahhhhh I have one budgie and I love him so much he learned how to talk he’s learning new word everyday ! But I do go to school but my morning and the rest of my day is spend to my budgie but when I go to school I don’t want him to be lonely but for the rest of the day I’m with him and he has been an only budgie for ages now I’m just not sure if he would want to share a cage . He loves mirrors he never has got aggressive he plays with his toys he never really done anything to the mirror besides talk to it so I’m not thinking of getting another budgie I don’t want ww3 here

I have 9 budgies, and they are very happy, always talking to each other and playing together, pruning each other,they get along great, I think they are happier in a group.
I think if you’re home almost all day and are able to have your budgie out most of the day. Like you said in the video, you should get two budgies if you’re at school or work all day.

I had a budgie before.He was like a child to me.To him I am his flock.I was so happy. I had him since he was 6 weeks old.We had an unbreakable relationship,but, one day out of hate my ex best friend broke into my house and set him free.At one point my budgie tried to eat from my mouth.I am 25 now and all of that was when I was 9 years old.

Im getting a second female for my albino female. Im super exited, and it'll be hard to sleep tonight XD
no matter the number of budgies, let them out a LOT. If you keep your budgies in your room, close the door and windows, and let them fly around. I'd suggest looking at when the sun sets so you can set them free a few hours before it gets dark so you can put them back into their cage if they aren't tamed. After a while, you'll start to have them fly in front of your face and latch onto you while working. Don't worry, they just want attention.
If I'm still interested in a budgie, I'll get one in 2 months! :D
I used to have one but it flew away as my brother accedentally left the cage door open. I have recently re-maintaned my cage and fixed it up and plan to get another tommorow.

i have a green buggie (jazzy, my angery little pare) and a blue one (snowy), jazzy is a girl so when they stoped relying on snowy to feed her (she stole food from his beak once) she kept atacking him so snowy atacked back, but snowy still befriends her
