I have a 380 that after cleaning I was having trouble reassembling it. While I had it inspected they found a CRACK on the slide. Llama 380 made in the 80's I assume. Could we blow it up together, or should I try to fix it?
Years ago I put my quad on a friend's trailer and we got on the highway in Michigan. We went over the Zilwaukee bridge and about 40 more miles before he stopped on the side of the road, got out and then got back in. He said, "I knew I forgot to latch the tongue down." The trailer made it that whole way without being latched. Thanks for the great vids.
I had my dad take my side by side to the shop for me one time and him and my brother hooked up the trailer and loaded the side by side.....got to the shop and the guy fixing it came out to unload it and got half way down the ramps when the trailer popped up and SLAMMED down on the tailgate of the truck. Had someone been standing there it would have killed em. Poor dad forgot to latch the damn trailer.
Scott, it warms my heart to see you having so much fun bein big kids with your dad. You used your success as a way to show your dad a great time constantly. He complains at times, but you can tell he likes watching you be a crazy man lol.
Scott, I know many others have said it but its so great watching you and your dad have so much fun together. You can tell its like a guy having fun with his best friend and its great! I lost my dad when I was 15 and watching you two together really makes me wish he was still here, but also lets me reflect on the good times we did have together and that makes me happy. I wish you two the best, and I hope I can meet you guys someday!
I forgot to lock down my trailer one morning and drove all the way to a jobsite about 50 miles away. When I got their I had a couple of the guys help me unload the trailer. When the first guy stepped on the trailer the hitch rose right up off the ball. We all looked at each other and got a good laugh. Kind of a nervous scary laugh on my part for sure.
I’ve been watching Kentucky ballistics for probably 5 years now and today is the first day I’ve ever had a Kentucky customs video in my queue which I’m so said I’m hooked your dad is a saint to deal with that wild man 😂😂😂 great videos
Hell of a good time guys!! I love this channel *almost* as much as Kentucky Ballistics. Its pretty close haha. Love watching you and your dad just screwing around having a good time just doing random stuff. You have the 2 most entertaining channels on youtube man (and the funniest)! Great video as always man!!
I pulled my Bobcat up and down hills for about 10 miles. When I went to unhook the trailer I felt sick to my stomach. Only thing saved me was I always load a bit nose heavy.
people talk about real life hero''s but the Scotts are my heros because i stride to have the relationship they have with each other with my sons ✌😁💯💯❤❤
You should’ve had a safety chains hooked up , then You would have been able to see how long it takes for it to come off the ball and how long or would it break the chains and come off. But I get a laugh out of your videos every time I’m watching keep on keepIng on entertaining us. 👍😂
With the safety chains hooked up there would be the risk of the tongue digging in and since it's still being pulled behind it could launch itself over and land on the truck... worst case scenario, but there are recorded incidents of that happening.
In August at Michigan mud jams a friend attached my trailer to another friends truck and loaded a sxs I had lost of other stuff to deal with. We realized 160 miles home he didn’t shut the latch. I backed it off and the tung went right into the ford platinum tailgate.
Our work trailer we pulled around the property with our atvs didn't have a latch on it at all for thr first 30 years of its life. Youd be surprised how far you can make it without a latch if you compensate with the loading.
Yeah, those Powerstroke Diesels get HOT so when you run them hard like that make sure to check the coolant often, it WILL evaporate on you. Edit: Also you may want to change the coolant and oil after running it like that as well, just my 2 cents as a Ford tech.
If he would have had the chains hooked up correctly, the nose wouldn’t of dragged. (Pontoon guy) Chains aren’t to hook up to keep the trailer hooked the the truck. They’re meant to cross under the hitch to create a basket so if the trailer comes off the ball, it will lay in the crossed chains.
21:20 I think your best bet to get that trailer to flip would be to have some sort of release mechanism that would release the ratchet strap right as you hit a bump so the washer/dryer would go flying at the same time you hit a bump.
I have a project idea for y’all, Scott squared! No idea how this would work, but what about a Kentucky Ballistics and/or Customs design for any vehicle, OR, a vehicle that combines both channels?
One time before work I had an appointment so came in late. During that time my crew was supposed to load and latch the trailer to my work truck. Moral of the story, always check before you start driving that the guys actually did the full job. That was an expensive lesson for me to learn...
So this happened to my father in law with a tow dolly that had as S10 on it. However he did latch it, but he used a bolt and nut instead of a lock or locking pin and was driving 500 miles. About half way it came off and and he slammed on the brakes causing the trailer tongue to spear the back of the vehicle, so then he floored it, well that straightened the S hooks on the safety chains and caused it to come all the way off. At that point all he could do was wait for it to stop by itself. Lucky no one was hurt. It managed to stay straight on the road and actually ended up on the shoulder as if you'd stopped and unhooked it there.
I was going out in the boat one day and I had to change the hitch for it. I hooked the chains up and locked it but I didn't put the pin in the hitch. Oddly enough the chains were short so it didn't fully come out of the receiver. I didn't actually notice until I got back from boating when I unhooked the trailer.
I'm thinking load the drums on the washer and dryer with sand ratchet them down in line on the right side a few hard lefts and you might get the trailer to roll.
Had a customer pick up his boat and forget to latch it, made it about 2 miles down the road. Had to drive my forklift for 20 minutes to lift it back on his truck. Always check your tongue latch and safety chains.
I work on the water and launch my boat 5 days a week. Well anyway I didnt latch mine 1 day and made it to the boat launch 20 miles away . I realized it when I backed into the water as the boat came off the trailer came up but the chains stopped it from hitting my truck. I have been peranoid about double checking to make sure its firmly latched ever since. This journey involved bumps and a stretch where you hit 70 to 75mph for a few minutes.
I picked up my truck from work, with trailer already loaded and hooked up and drove from Northern Virginia to Memphis Tennessee, 16 hours probably averaging 80mph or so and when I got to the job the next day and dropped the trailer I noticed that there was a 1 7/8 ball on the receiver in a 2 5/16 trailer tongue. I can't imagine how that thing stayed hooked up all that way ( maybe because the trailer was waaaaay overloaded lol ) the weight held it down? The shop guy definitely got an earful for that one, and the big guy upstairs must have been looking out for me that day...and night.
I have a 2002 F350 just like that. 7.3L diesel, ZF 6spd manual, manual 4x4, manual locking hubs. 340k miles and it's still an awesome truck. You can't hardly kill these later years' 7.3L's. I love my truck. :) ... You can beat on it and treat it like sh^t and it still won't let you down. It leaks everywhere.. I throw in another gallon of oil every 2 or 3 months, and add another gallon of water here and there as needed. It still pulls strong and just won't die-- so I guess I'll keep beating on it.
4 miles! I was pulling a 7 x 12 lawn trailer entry luckily to go get a utv. My girlfriends 30 year old son hooked it up. I made a few turns and had gotten on a two ltane highway, I was stopping at a light about 7 cars back from the light, when I saw the trailer come past me on the right and jump a ditch and the tongue jack plowed a trench all across a man's yard stopped by his a shrubs. I apologized and hand walked the trailer around the corner where I had to park, and I showed the 30 year old how to latch it and use safety chains. Had to replace tongue jack.
You should set up the washer and the dryer one in front of the other and see what Elephant guns make it through both, use all your elephant gun, your 50 cal too,oh and by the way if you can get your hands on some M33 50 cal ball it's cheaper and awesome it has a mild steel core that will still act as a penetrator to a degree and better than standard ball also if you wish use your big pistols, fill the inside of them with your favorite target, such as nacho cheese, eggplant puree, eggplants your choice, plan to make it a longer episode if necessary,I know the fans will love it I know I would!!!
Just a thought if you really want it to flip, weld a plow under the ball and put some weight on the end of it should do it. you may need something to help the trailer off, but idk.
My mom once towed my enclosed 6x12 trailer to my new house. I said make sure you hook everything up. Halfway there, the trailer went into oncoming traffic. She didn’t latch the tongue, Hook up the chains, or hook up any of the lights. She also left the jack down.
I've seen this happen a few times. All of those times its been on the Interstate. Driving 15k miles a month you see all kinds of crazy stuff. Remember your Safety Chains folks.
Funny enough, I had this happen a few weeks ago. My company bought a used Chevy Silverado work truck and a trailer that was designed as a to look like the back of a service truck, all toolboxes. The hitch was bent and we had to use a hammer just to get it to catch and lock down. On the way back to the shop, I hit a bump and it popped right off, slammed into the back of the truck, then into the pavement. The chains definitely saved it, but while I was trying to brake, the trailer kept beating into the the back of the truck. Luckily I was on an empty country road and not somewhere busy. I've heard 1 story where a guy that was friends with my boss was pulling an empty trailer from 1 job site to another and it came off and went into someone's pond. He made it all the way to the job site and someone had to point out that he was missing the trailer, he had no clue.
@@jasonlmeadows Haha!!! That would be cool too!! I have done stuff similar to this with my dad, uncle, and best friend.....wish I would have thought about thowing it on youtube. Oh well.
This is one of my biggest fears when im towing my excavator at work. When i let the laborers hook up the trailers and then forget to check the connection before i leave lol I guess this is why i teach them to cross the chains to create a cradle to catch the tongue if it comes off and to always connect the emergency disconnect first thing so the brakes lock up if it completely separates from the hitch

Danny our truck driver had to move a 650JD Dozer about 2 miles. We loaded and said how many chains u want on this long trip as a joke. He said none. Ok. It won't go nowhere. Ok well get up there and trim some low branches out the way. Did that and waited and waited. no Dozer. Started back down old dirt gravel road and there's kenworth, lowboy, no Dozer. WTF Dan? Idk what happened. It started jumping around and before I could get her stopped it bounced off the wood and on that steel part of floor and slid like skates on ice. Look over hill and she sat down there on her side. Went got skidder, hooked up cable and got her flipped over.Let set for about 30 min and fired her up after checking fluids and winched and got her back up to road and loaded her on there. Then we chained blade, tracks and used chokers on winch to keep ass down. Didn't move. We couldn't drive it on road cause part was dirt then rest was new blacktop. Had yo cross a few properties to get to timber so couldn't do that. Better to take more time and do it right, than save time and end up spending way more time recovering.
I drove 23 miles from home to the tractor dealer and it never fell off, I had a dual axel utility trailer and 5000lb tractor on it. I'm lucky it sounds.
The more weight you have on the trailer, the more tongue weight is holding it down on the hitch, and the less likely it is to come off; unless you drive down into a ditch or something with a steep angle change.
I've done probably close to 400 miles round trip with a tow dolly that was either never latched down or the latch popped loose somewhere during the trip. Thing hang on even on the trip down with it empty, didnt come off when we rolled an old ranger onto it either. Thank god nothing would have happened because that for sure would have rolled us had the safety chains caught, not to mention other motorists. That trip also stands out because at one point we came upon a gigantic oak tree freshly fallen into the road. Luckily a few good ol' boys were in the line of traffic who owned a tree business. So they handed out all their saws and everyone got to work. Had that tree limbed, chopped, and rolled off the road in about 20 minutes. ~Edit~ just mapped it, it was only about 180 miles round trip. Been a while lol
Ok do the same thing but with just the chains attached. And also put the weight in the middle/back. So 1. Drag by chains, 2. Drag by chains but with the tongue up in the air held by chains
What other experiments would you like to see on the channel? I hope you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching!

Filling tires with great foam instead of air and see if they're puncture proof. With nails or screws and barbed wire.

Some puckering and chills after the fact, there. Haha
If there's enough tongue weight on a smooth road it stays on fairly well.
Always have safety chains in case it does come off!!

Scott, when you’re trailer is under load. (accelerating) the tongue weight is enough to keep it solid. Try it at slower speeds and changingspeed.

Ralph was thirsty
The jack on trailers is like an anchor haha
is there a video where we see all of your trucks
Spartan kick was awesome lol😂
I drove 23 miles from home to the tractor dealer and it never fell off, I had a dual axel utility trailer and 5000lb tractor on it. I'm lucky it sounds.
The more weight you have on the trailer, the more tongue weight is holding it down on the hitch, and the less likely it is to come off; unless you drive down into a ditch or something with a steep angle change.
as a follow up i kinda want to see what would happen unlatched but with the chains and what happens lol
I've seen some aftermath pics and vids of that. It almost always ends with at least a flipped trailer if not the whole truck too
I laugh way too hard when I see your dad grab the “oh s#!+ handle” every time you say you’re going to hit a bump hard 😂😂
I expected you were going to drag it around by the chains and see how long it would last.
How is Scott still alive, with all the stuff he does? Is everyone in Kentucky crazy?🤣
That was no joke about lowes.
It took 3 different deliveries for us to get an undamaged Maytag washer and dryer😢
That Spartan Kick was …. Surprisingly effective.
Ok do the same thing but with just the chains attached. And also put the weight in the middle/back. So 1. Drag by chains, 2. Drag by chains but with the tongue up in the air held by chains
You two are crazy 🤪
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. Great video brother. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂👍
I love your videos so much better thay try not to 😂
I'm just saying, this is science at its finest.
No joke. I have had dudes from Lowes handle appliances WORSE than how you moved that first washer/dryer.
Most entertaining is when someone tries to drive on the back of the trailer when it’s not latched and going down hill.
