Great info, thank you! Some of the transactions in Altadore and Richmond are either finalizing lower than asking or sellers have already dropped the prices from what it was originally posted. I like to see those info as well if possible 😊
I'm in the NW and you can't get a 'luxury' home for $1 million. You'd find a home in a decent area, decent size but one that likely needs updates i.e. kitchen, bathroom etc. I'd say you need $1.5 million to get anything that you could call luxury that doesn't need updates. I've been looking.
I would argue the 1m mark is no longer a luxury market in Calgary. There are tons of infills and duplexes that are near or over the 1m mark. What you can buy for 1m 10 years ago is certainly different from what you get today.
Thanks for the comment StevoSun and your thoughts. Yes what 1 mill buys is different however the benchmark and median prices are still easily under this price range so for many over $1 Mill is still out of reach. Are they all luxury? Not really but it’s a great point to focus on as those above $2 Mill could start to get into true luxury range which we talk about too
Fantastic report. Appreciate your videos very much.
Appreciate this! Thank you!
Would love to see stats on who are local buyers vs out of town/country. Migration data to understand the marginal buyers

No stats for chestermere? Great video still
Good catch... I'll make sure the info is in our next one! Thank you.

Are you kidding? You’re talking nearly 170% the cost of the average house. I know things are expensive but that take is totally off.

I have a luxury home in Copperfield. I've had some realtors look at it, but there are no comparables for it, so no one will list it. Help!!
