This demo was a ton of fun! You can really tell the quality over quantity approach Sonic World DX has over the original. Even acts 2-4 is different, some are entirely different zones!~ I will cover the extra missions on Wednesday (aim to). But yeah this was really awesome, the lighting, animations, and mechanics were much more appealing. It also had less memory crashes than Sonic World, but I still had a few. Overall though fantastic demo for Sonic World DX.

Holy crap, and this is Sonic World, never thought they would go that far
They are still stagnating
The main reason the original Sonic World is great is because of the mods, letting us play as whoever we want and play In a bunch of different levels. I also really like the floaty controls because it makes you feel more in control. I really hope they expand on the Chao Garden personally.
@@cookiesontoast9981 but these characters are just retextured versions of themselves, offering no unique abilities. Level design is decent, but was made only for Sonic

@@Validoleech None of that is true. Have you played the demo? They literally all have unique abilities and there are even flight zones just for Tails or other flying characters.

Sonic's Animation is the most fluid
sonic has so much personality in his animations! Such a contrast with how sonic team usually animates him like a robot.
They look soo good better then all the animations in normal sonic games

Wow! It's amazing to see how much change Sonic World has undergone ever since the Ozcrash incident in 2018.

Yo, great vid! I was the voice of Shadow for DX, so it’s kinda surreal to hear the sounds, music, and voices all put together. It’s super cool to see this much gameplay, I hadn’t heard many of the character voice lines in-game yet.

This is a really good fangame. No shitty ultra HD with too much light, not too fast, not an open world, we know where we have to go, everything is very fluid, this is an awesome fan game!
Okay, I just gotta say I LOVE how fluid the animation looks, on Sonic especially. He moves so smoothly with every action he performs, it's incredible! I can't stop gawking at that victory animation! I really do think Tails and Shadow's animation isn't great, they move way too stiffly and clearly their animations weren't smoothed out yet, but it _is_ just a demo.
I'm pretty critical about a lot of the Sonic fan projects featured on this channel. This project has a lot of promise and I really sincerely hope it's developers know that. The level design and Adventure style gameplay are so spot on to the official games, and the engine just looks great overall. I'm super excited to see more.

Sonic The Hedgehog: DX Edition!
This looks fantastic! I can't wait to try this myself. I've always had a love for Sonic World, and this feels like a remaster of it. This shows promise, and it represents the potential of this game. Let's hope it keeps to the expectations.
This is definitely givin me Generation and Unleashed vibes.
The camera work in this is amazing, and they added -just- enough personality to shadow to not teeter over into overdone edgelord mode.

The animations are so good, I re winded the video a couple of times just to see them again! They're that good!
Once seeing tails and shadow, i was satisfied. This is going in the right direction. Just polish the stages and the physics. Also make sure EVERY character had differences.

So proud of all the work you guys have done with this game over the years. I started playing back in 2014 when R5 came out and the progress really REALLY shows. Now seeing DX and more and more efforts put forth by the development team, I can't wait to see what the final product will look like. Great job guys. ❤
Those are some clean ass animations on this sonic. I haven't played Sonic Worlds in a while so I'm really excited to pick this back up. SAGE 2020 is going to be freaking amazing this year!
This is definitely at the top of the list with Sonic GT and Project Hero
Loving the animations, they have so much detail and they're so fluid. They make the characters look so alive.
Who is responsible for the gorgeous animations? So fluid and natural looking. Comparing this to the animations in Sonic Forces feels like the difference between a 60hz and 144hz monitor. Phenomenal!

This is probably the best Fan-made Sonic game that doesn't use an Infinity Engine. I'm glad Sonic World is getting the care and love it deserves. I honestly can't wait to play the finished version. I know it'll be awesome.
Tails with stomp is so ingenious! It makes it so he doesn't have to lose momentum while flying and makes him seem so much more fun and fluid!

*SO FREAKING FLUID LIKE OH MY GOD IT’S BEAUTIFUL*
From the incredibly smooth character animations to cool character abilities (especially Tails using his actual Arm Cannon from Sonic Battle instead of Dummy Ring Bombs *(thank you so much; I thought I was the only one who advocated his Arm Cannon haha)) to the lighting engine being pleasant yet subtle, and great new character voices?! This demo accomplishes so much great stuff, that I'm a little surprised yet pleasantly blown away! I'm super excited to see where Sonic World DX goes; I have high hopes for this project.
And I just want to praise the character animations again. They're so smooth yet full of life; it's super fun to watch them perform! Great job to devs of this game!

Holy shit the animations are smooth. The fact that Tails' gameplay is pretty much EXACTLY how I would imagine it if Adventure 3 ever happened (on foot but with the arm cannon from Sonic Battle to keep the option of shooting enemies) makes me happy too. And for Eggman I've always imagined the same thing, on foot but with a gun (the laser gun from Lost World's intro).
The idle animations are awsome!

Can't wait to try this at sage, it follows a different aproach to level design from what i would consider my preference for adventure styled games, but it looks fun regardless and specially complete compared to most 3D fangames (also the animations look freaking sweet)
physics still cluncky, but the character model are on point

At first I didn’t know how to feel about a fan game getting a reboot
But holy crap this is awesome, I remember pouring hours into Sonic World, I’m happy to see that I’m going to again
I love Shadow's habilities, that punch on the ground, the Chaos Spear and the Chaos Control that stops time around you, though that makes him better than Sonic in a way, I'm guessing that's why Sega always decided him to have the exact same gameplay as Sonic, with the difference that he can use vehicles in Sonic 06 or the homing attack sequence in Forces. About Tails, I like the fact that he uses a ray gun, that's genius, makes things way easier. I'd only like that Sonic had a few other habilities, all of a sudden he feels like the most boring character to play with in this game

It is so surreal to still see some of the models that I made a few years ago still in use within Sonic World.
I made the Rhinotank and Splats models, I wonder if the other ones I made are still in use.

@@SonicRingo People need to learn that the Boost Formula + Wisps can actually work well. Infinity Plus (especially the SAGE 2020 demo) works wonders.
They just need to TRY it instead of worshipping the Adventure Formula like cultists.
really people still who dont follow the progress first of all the roster is now small,people there wont be a story mode,no boost,new voices for every character,some characters will have none spin jumps

Another update finally
Had a good laugh at the Kingdom Hearts music being interwoven with Hang Castle
It's like Sonic World got a 8k update with all the crisp animations and everything.
I'm really liking that callback to Sonic Battle.
The animations are so bouncy - I Love it! Some of them (escpecially the aerial ones) could probably be sped up to seem more natural and something about Shadow's punch animation feels underwhelming. But those idle animations and especially Shadows run cycle looks so fluid!
