@@BubbaSatoriI absolutely hate adaptive cruise control. I tried it recently in a car and it was the most aggravating thing ever. On the other hand, I absolutely love regular cruise control.
As the owner of a Pan American S, the suspension on baggers would not only help shorter riders, but would just be better all the way around. It is pretty damn amazing in my opinion.

Was really hoping for a reverse assist and electronic suspension. Also, hope these guys are more reliable. A friend of mine had a Heritage that broke down 5 times within a year. Each time needed a tow. All that said, the price is still insane. BMW R1250 RT and K1600 have similar if not better performance with a whole lot more tech. Not even going to mention Ducati sport bikes with their blind spot detectors. Really don't understand why Harley can't fit more tech on these flagship bikes. I really really love Harley touring bike but it is just so hard to justify that price with the amount of stuff you get.

I’ve had great luck with the M8. Crazy reliable even after I had a 131ci kit on it.

    • @pierrelederrey6636

More reliable ? I have an M8 with +40k km after 2 Twin Cams (included a 103 cc which I sold with about 80k km, 3 Sportys and even one 1340. Neither of them leaved me on the roadsite. Which was the case of two of the BMW than I owned (included a R1100RT and an engine which had a lot of recalls from BMW). About Ducati, I don't know since when you know them, but as an old biker I can ensure you that Ducati is far from the most reliable manufacturer of the market, even if they made some improvement this last decade.
But I agree, H-D is not and never was the more tech brand of the market, and it's certainly not the reason why we love them.

@@BlinkingKillswitch my point is that any BMW bike almost perfectly fits me, along with Ducati, any Indian (almost) fits me, Triumph fits, etc…. All of those bikes designed for the upright riding position are 12-20k cheaper than the new CVO (depending on paint color). Doesn’t even matter how tall the bike is, the rider triangle fits me almost perfect on any other brand I can get my hands on except Harley.
My only bike is a ‘22 FXLRS, so I’m not just crapping on them to be negative. I’ve had to do the same thing to my own bike. The bars needed to pull back 3” to allow me sit upright and have a bend in my elbow. Now, it’s perfect.
It’s not at all disingenuous to ask a manufacturer commanding such a price to engineer a better rider triangle from the factory.

For 40k-50k the bike fits most people because it has to. If you want the bike to fit out of the factory then get a bike from a manufacturer that you mentioned and then you wont be so disingenuous about your complaint.

Based on the MSRP and out the tdoor costs, HD absolutely must push some of these features, looking at the rider info system and engine improvements (not necessarily displacement), down to the base touring models, IMHO. Rushmore in 2013 and the M8 engine in 2017 were important upgrades, but it's now past time to start putting the advanced electronic features other touring bikes have had for a while into the Road and Street Glide Specials. The Road King can remain the purist option for the touring chasis, but if you're going full fairing, you should get the full goods IMHO.

production in 2023 is better than before the footrest is raised when cornering does not touch the road, the trunk also turns fatter according to the status of the motorbike, Harley Davidson is a big bike. In my opinion, the road glide is quite handsome, it's just that the street glide is less handsome, from the front it still looks sleek..

They look good but they miss the mark, glad they made improvements that brought them up to par with other bikes that have been out for some time. The price is laughable but exclusivity isn’t cheap and the same buyers come back every year or two and buy another one of the latest CVO’s and good for them, used ones are the way to go, I’d wait for a little reliability experimentation on this new engine as well…

For $20,000 less you can get yourself an Indian Challenger Pursuit Limited. This has to be the most plain paint schemed CVO yet to date. Happy to see that Harley is finally putting an inverted front end and some performance stuff on their touring bikes. Dealers will be selling these for over $50,000 with their markup. Not changing that out of date frame is inexcusable. this leaves us with the same rotten geometry we have always had, the same poor rear shock options, and the excessive weight. They obviously went maximum low effort with these bikes. The VVT was always expected to meet future emissions, the new fairing was supposedly in development before the Revolution Max motored bikes and was suspended to focus on them, and finally we will end up with the only tour line without adjustable wind screens, remote locking (ultra and specials), and no mono shock. Inverted forks and radial brakes are parts bin choices for more competent brands and the upside forks have been around for a long time on other Harley models.
with regards to the rear shock, the CVO does not count, what matters is the bike the leave everyone else with on the base and special models. Going to be real interesting how much CVO content is lost to reach a Special and base model of each line. Buffeting could have been nearly eliminated with an adjustable wind screens, BMW has had it since 96.... All this and the bags are smaller!!!!
I am a Harley owner having waited years for this refresh and my disappointment should be obvious; going to keep the FXLRST for a long time
BMW does far more on their K1600GT and R1250RT for far less than Harley has ever done or tried because Harley knows their buyers are exploitable.
