Legit great video, I’ve started using the logic stock plugins for production and realised there’s no need to look at third party plugins to make something great
Great video 👍 I'd also add the stock Tremelo plugin to this, I find it really useful to do a range of things like adding stereo movement and faux compression ducking.
This is probably the best video I've watched for Logic Pro tips and it's 2 years old.. Wished I'd checked this a while back but better late than never ! 😁
I’m only just starting to scratch below the surface of Logic… this was a great video. Brought a lot of awareness to what tools are already there waiting to go!
Sculture underrated, Phat fx complete plugin, 3 vintage eq woderful (neve, api, pultec, all 3 with saturators), exiter or distorsión II for 808, enveloper for transientes awesome, Logic it's everything
Hey mate. Great tutorial, actually the stereo wide plugin can be used in a dramatic way, as this plugin can make 2 instruments sit with each other in the most clean way i have ever heard, without fighting with each other,
i just accidentally used Logic bcuz Reason 10 won't work smoothly on Catalina and i keep hearing my friend telling me his other friend was using Logic Pro X, and also it seemed enticing from the education bundle from Apple b/c of the price... fast forward, HOLY SHT, THIS IS A FKIN AMAZIN DAW. i don't think i will ever love another DAW... now i'm all upgraded to Monterey and Logic 10.7.1 from 10.4.7, and the sounds and plugins, even the legacies and presets.. amazing
Great vid! It's amazing how well some of these stock plug-ins do just as well or better than some paid ones. I'd like it more if you showed the difference between with and without the plug-ins for a longer time, the comparisons were too quick for me to hear a diffence on some of them.
Kontakt doesn’t have an easy way of loading Percs, i would rather use the logic drum machine designer or multi sampler. But, open Kontakt, select one of the icons at the top right that opens a drop down that says create new instrument. Then click the wrench and hit mapping editor and then drag your samples in
that vocal boosting at 19:55 sounds amazing, but I'm curious if it could cause problems down the road, like if a compressor catches all that extra volume could it duck the track?
Probably not! I boosted a little higher than I normally would so it was easier to hear. If you do this, try it after all of your processing. So after your compressor etc
Was a Logic user for 15 years. Then went Ableton as I wanted to switch from a Mac to PC, which never happened so I've been using Ableton for about 5-6 years. Last year I tried Reaper and after spending two months mostly setting the damn thing up, I was hooked. Also tried Bitwig, which was nice but I could not stand the GUI, tastes and all that. But now I bought an M1...and Reaper for some reason demands a lot of RAM and thinking about going full circle and going back to Logic as its the most optimised DAW for Apple Silicon *right now* Note that I am already also running Reaper ARM beta and Ableton Live 11.1b7 beta for Apple Silicon, but they really don't get along with Intel plug ins. Waiting for Soundtoyz, Plug in alliance, UAD and iZotope to sort them selves out and give native Silicon builds.
Great video! Only one thing, I don't know what sample rate you are using but even if you are using 48kHz, no adult human will hear any of the changes you make above 20kHz. Still, the vintage EQs are awesome for boosting things :)
@@EchoSoundWorks No, I've not seen any thing like it before. We might be hearing the halo of a wide band when you boosted at 24k. I am not sure the YT codec is good enough to convey those super high frequencies but I'm sure I could hear a difference.
I love the stock plugins, being young when I started out I didn't have nexus or serum or anything bought for a couple years, these are definitely some of the first tools I used in music production, especially sculpture! ES2 is amazing as well.
If you’re not trolling and actually curious… Logic does some things way better than Live. Bounce in place, cutting and editing is easier and quicker, the “warp” modes (logic calls them flex sound better because apples algorithm isn’t the z plane one that live uses, quick sampler is better than simpler, the mixer view is better, etc BUT Live is does some things better than logic. Lives routing and flexibility with modulation is crazy, groups in groups is epic, the scale mode in the piano roll, etc
I stopped using Logic years ago because I hated the sampler so much. Downloaded the newest version right around the time they updated it and I refuse to use anything else now...
Dude you and Sol State are the best Channels out there for Producers period
Thank you so much! Sol state is awesome
I used sculpture as my main synths in my songs Send Bobs and Sweet 16 (and others). Super underrated.
Legit great video, I’ve started using the logic stock plugins for production and realised there’s no need to look at third party plugins to make something great
Have to say, this is a great lesson on tools I've never or barely looked at in the past! Thank you, very eye opening!
Glad it helps!
Great video! Logic has so many underrated stock plugins. Especially Step FX and Phat FX are amazing
So true! Logic and ableton have some of the best in my opinion
This channel is underrated .Thank you for these great remainders
Thx Shane, the perfect video for a rainy Sunday :)
You’re welcome! Wish we had rain here, still feels like summer
Great video 👍 I'd also add the stock Tremelo plugin to this, I find it really useful to do a range of things like adding stereo movement and faux compression ducking.
Tbh, I still haven’t totally figured out
compression ducking, but because I’ve always used the tremolo for this
The tremelo plugin shines when used in spatial audio!
So much creative stuff with amazing examples, your channel is grossly underexposed, thanks so much for the creative input!!
Thank you so much! Appreciate that support ❤️
The real ones know!
Thanks for the scripter scales… so cool! I’ve been on Logic forever, but have never used that plug-in before… Awesome!
Hey Steve! It can do some pretty cool things. I wish more people made stuff for it
This is probably the best video I've watched for Logic Pro tips and it's 2 years old.. Wished I'd checked this a while back but better late than never ! 😁
I’m only just starting to scratch below the surface of Logic… this was a great video. Brought a lot of awareness to what tools are already there waiting to go!
This was great, so many things sat right there in Logic that I'd overlooked! Thanks.
Sculture underrated, Phat fx complete plugin, 3 vintage eq woderful (neve, api, pultec, all 3 with saturators), exiter or distorsión II for 808, enveloper for transientes awesome, Logic it's everything
Great logic tips video. Thanks so much for highlighting features you’d otherwise feel like you need to go buy!
Haven’t used logic in long time and went to other daws. This would make me want to start using Logic again
Logic got a lot better with the latest update!
What did you switch too?
Hey mate. Great tutorial, actually the stereo wide plugin can be used in a dramatic way, as this plugin can make 2 instruments sit with each other in the most clean way i have ever heard, without fighting with each other,
brooooo, the air band tip!!! Thank you for bringing this to my attention
Love phat fx! My only gripe with it is no retrigger on the LFO.
This is awesome stuff. Even for the few that I was privy to you taught me new things! 💯 awesome walk-through and 💎s ❤
Thanks so much! How long have you been using logic?
@@EchoSoundWorks Since 2013 Believe it or not
Great video, says a Logic Pro veteran :)
That Sweet Dreams remix tho..... 🤩
Very helpful and in-depth sound design tips. Good looking out!
Been in logic for about a year now and have paid for about 3 plugins this program already has. Fantastic video, thank you
You gotta check out and play around with plugins bro, please don't make that mistake again 🤣💯

Had no idea about the flex time in the quick sampler, that’s a huge tip! Thanks man killer video!
Very clear and precise simple tips…good work. JPMusic
Thanks James ✌️
Thank you for this video. You gave solid examples and explanations for a bunch of plug-ins that I never understood how to use.
Man, been using logic over 10 years but did‘t know about at least 5 of them. Awsome thank you 🤙🏽
If I recall correctly, Phat FX is a more advanced version of the famed Camel Crusher plugin (Apple bought Camel Audio awhile back)
Yeah exactly right!
It's nice to be reminded about the often forgotten but very useful Logic plugins. I'll be working with them more now. Good one!
Always putting up great content! You and musician on a mission are they best out thee for learning logic!
Thanks for the love!
Don't forget to mention Why Logic Pro Rules. Imho the best channel for understanding how to effectively use Logic.
So good to see you here again. Thanks for these...................nice!!!
Coming back to your channel time after time to learn some Logic tips. Thanks a lot dude!

I don't do electro but this is still a cool tutorial, looks like a lot of fun and the possibilities just with the stock plugins are out of this world
Thanks for the tutorial. Quick question: How do you load your percs into kontakt?

Great insights, especially Scripter and the API EQ tuning
You rock brother, thanks a ton for this
You’re welcome ✌️
Great video, thanks. Where's the link for the free Toy Piano, sounds fabulous ?
Fantastic content, thanks for making the vid.
Fantastic video, I did not realize i had what i had...My mixes are good now but this just helped in future projects. Thanks
Happy to help! Thanks for stopping in and checking it out
Excellent ! Picked up a few good tips - thank you
It's nice to be reminded sometimes on the great features that Logic Pro offers. 🔥🧡
Thanks for this informative video Echo Sound Works. Helps a lot of people optimizing their workflow

Really insightful video. Thank you for putting it together!
This was such a great video! I'm gonna start using these plugins!
Good contents video, thanks man!
Thank you so much 🙏
Thank you so much!!!!!Very interesting and helpful
Thanks for this! Its easy to accumulate plugin after plugin. You forget that there are some gems that come stock with logic.
great video. thank you very much
Next level, TY 🙏🏻
Brilliant video. Subed !
Awesome video… for the last plug-in I prefer the Tremolo plug-in for the spread… find phasing issues a lot with the spreader… imo
I actually came across that phat FX last night as well, never used it before but used it on a bass and it's very effective indeed. ✅✅✅
Very useful. Thanks a lot
Pitch riser good for me thanks

Probably not! I boosted a little higher than I normally would so it was easier to hear. If you do this, try it after all of your processing. So after your compressor etc
Any way to do the 808 trick in alchemy? Like the quick sampler. (Keeping the same duration of the note when playing in higher octaves)

Not a logic user, but some helpfull tips in this video for similar plugins elsewhere.
Glad the tips helped! Do you know of any other “tunable” eq’s like the logic api?

Hey Great Video
How do I get external plugins into the folder of the logic plugins?
I. Need. Those. Scripter. PRESETS
Thanks bro. I’m a hobby engineer that needs skills like yours thank you.
this is exactly what i needed right now! thankyou
You’re welcome ☺️
Switched from Logic to FL because of sampling. Now FL needs to take notes from Logic's samplers
Thank You
Thanx sir
Dont count out the bitcrusher’s clip function! 😂🔥
Haha true. There’s like 6 ways to soft clip in logic X and no dedicated clipper 🤷♂️
That’s the hardest beat 😭💪

Funny sculpture looks cool to me like the new sampler looks like an android icon. Bland as hell.
Q sampler for the win
Q sampler is so good!
Gems!
Wow video!!!
You ever heard of the producer 123MRK? I think he uses sculpture tbh, it a secret weapon for real.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Does logic pro support or works well with Neural DSP?
Yeah!
I actually like sculpture interface. It's younger than the ES synths.
Now ES1 is ugly, I'll give you that. But it still sounds good.
Super
💯🔥
Just curious.... is logic like a worse version of ableton? Because ableton is amazing.
If you’re not trolling and actually curious…
Logic does some things way better than Live.
Bounce in place, cutting and editing is easier and quicker, the “warp” modes (logic calls them flex sound better because apples algorithm isn’t the z plane one that live uses, quick sampler is better than simpler, the mixer view is better, etc

i feel bad for non logic users who dont have sculpture
Just use transposer midi effect instead of scripter does the same thing

But i feel so much cooler saying Ex
