One thing I know about the Chinese industry is they really know how to reduce the cost of what they are producing, by building up the whole up and downstream of the industrial chain, trust me, if BYD shows their newest techs in high-end brand today, that means those techs will pass on to their basic cars not far later.

We need BYD cars in the USA. My understanding is there could be basic city electric models that would sell as low as $3,000 to $8,000 dollars,,, I live in an urban center in the Mid-West, we need these,,, and my understanding they are working on sodium batteries(lithium is harder to source and may be hard on the environment and politically causes conflict) I vote for no tariffs on Chinese e-cars imports, but we, as a nation do some quantitative easing(producing extra money) to get more development funds to companies like Tesla and other American electric vehicle providers! Bring BYD into the US tariff free, but also pour money into our own clean vehicle industry too, so we can be world class too!! More clean mass transit too!

It is now electronically operated, they called it "active" to sound smarter, but the principle is precisely the same. However, it's good to know that independent brands and good mechanics have custom-made very similar "active" hydropneumatic suspensions for about 30 years.

The Chinese are miles ahead of us. When they come here, they will teach us about automobile manufacturing like the Japanese did a number of years ago. You know, it’s been a very long time since I purchased an American car, and the way things are going it’s going to be a very long time until/if I purchase another one.
The suspension is by far the best thing on this car though. The rest is pretty generic for a "super car", but the suspension system is out of this world. The smart thing would be to just sell the suspension to manufacturers world wide.
