And the journey has begun! Yes, Marko Hietala, the bassist, sings as well - backing vocals, harmonies, duets, and occasionally lead. He’s a accomplished vocalist in his own right. He won the Finnish version of the Masked Singer in 2020. Unfortunately, he decided to step away from band in early 2021, coming out of Covid lockdown. They recently announced that Jukka Koskinen of Wintersun would be an official member of the band playing bass, after he has been touring with them for over a year. Jukka is an excellent bass player, but Marko will be missed, especially as a singer. She is My Sin is next. Try to find a version with the introduction prior to the song. Enjoy the ride!

Tarja doesn't sing with Marco when she was with the band on this song. You should check out the song from Buenos Aires 2018. Marco had a band named Tarot he's the lead singer. He's 56 now and his birthday is in January. Floor turned 41 in February
Glad you plan on reacting to entire concert. One thing I ask you please remember is that 0% of the songs played at this show were written while Floor was in the band. It is amazing how she can take them, make them her own while still being 100% Nightwish.
Yea that’s so true and incredible! I’m excited to listen to Hellfest 2022 to hear some songs made since Floor has been with the band.
@@enterthecronic I would recommend doing Wembley 2015 after this one. To be honest Hellfecst is not a great concert in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I think they sounded great but it was during the day. They are much better at night. I reccomend DEICHBRAND Festival 2022. I saw them in Chicago several months ago and it was out of this world!

I loved this song back in the day ( Tarja era) , But now Floor put some serious Umpf in to this song , and now I adore this song even more 🥰.
Floor is the third female lead singer the band has had. Tarja Turunen (1996-2005) helped found the band. She had a very classical, somewhat operatic style. She originally recorded this song. There was an arduous, difficult breakup in 2005. They chose Anette Olzon (2007-2012) to replace her. Tuomas wanted to have a very different sounding lead vocalist. She had more of a pop rock style. They were on tour in the US in 2012, when things had soured between her and the band, and she was unable to perform in Denver. Tuomas called Floor, who was in Europe, and asked if she would fill in on the tour. She performed with them 48 hours later in Seattle, and has been the lead vocalist ever since.

Internationally, best known as the former bassist, male vocalist and secondary composer to Tuomas Holopainen, of the symphonic metal band Nightwish. He was also the vocalist and bassist as well as composer and lyricist for the heavy metal band Tarot. He was also a member of the supergroup Northern Kings, and portrayed one of the main characters in Ayreon's 2013 album The Theory of Everything.

Great reaction! This is one of my favorite Nightwish songs, no doubt.
This will create some debate (possibly), but you should also check out some songs with their first vocalist, Tarja. A lot of fans seem to feel that they must choose between Tarja and Floor, but I love them both very much! The coolest part of it all is that Tarja and Floor are friends!
My favorite Tarja songs are "Nemo" live version and "Phantom of the Opera" live with Marko. The Wacken 2013 performance is definitely the most amazing show I've ever seen, but there are also some other live performances with Floor that you should see. Buenos Aires comes to mind ("I Want My Tears Back" from that show is one of the best crowd interactions I've ever seen and you get to see just how magical and charismatic Floor is)!

There are quite a few songs of the Wacken 2013 concert that have been video/audio remastered at also the 'correct speed'. Use those and you should be good to go. 🙂
