Not insanely strong kids are naturally really good at hanging as they are super light but have good grip strength. It’s still impressive but I wouldn’t say insanely strong.
Not to take away from her achievement, but little kids are able to hang a lot longer. In videos where trained adults try to out hang children they always lose. A skinny child who trains grip should be able to hold for 7-10 min (watch other hang challenge videos). This is because strength does not even scale to weight. The best pound for pound lifters are always small for a reason. A 4x body weight deadlift is physically impossible for a 400 pound strongman.

When I was 18 and 19 I would do 100 pushups before bed, every night. Now 57 years later, I can do maybe 10. To be able to do 100 again would be a hell of a goal. Knowing my body, probably I'd pull a muscle along the way. But at least, hopefully no heart attacks.
I'm 68, and I hear you. In the 80's I could do one arm pullups and I climbed 11a/b. Now I don't do pull ups ever because I just hurt myself, and I climb 11+12-. The power is GONE. But, we can still have fun.
Nah. You can do it. I'm a 47-year-old woman and I know I could do 100 a day, so I know that if you work at it, you can do 10 groups of 10 throughout the course of the day, then work at getting them closer together. Baby steps and perfect form all the time will protect your muscles.
I set myself a goal, to do 60 pushups in one set, for my 60th birthday. Did it. Didn’t quite get 3 sets of 60 back to back. Know you can get it back if you want.

that second man was so smart! very strategic! and the way the woman (assuming his partner) celebrated with him was so sweet 🥺
Loving the content as of late Magnus. I appreciate you going out of your comfort zone and collaborating with other creators in the states. Keep it up!
that video kept a smile on my face the whole time I'm an old man now but I was very physical when I was younger raced dirt bikes Did a lot of water skiing all the time mountain climbed With a buddy of mine at the time was 6' 10 so that was interesting he was a heck of a climber I miss you bro, So when I see you young guys doing this stuff out there I feel and know exactly what you're feeling I wish I could go back but I did enjoy my youth And I see you guys are enjoying your youth too that makes me happy Glad to see you guys are out there having fun and inspiring others to do the same
Wow the mind strength and control of that young girl is something else. Someone sponsor her into a climbing gym, with that grit and focus imagine how good she could be. Kudo's to her dad too.
I was thinking the same thing: with such a grip and mind power she could be amazing at climbing!
watch "Longest Dead Hang WINS $1,000!" Children can hang much longer than adults because strength to weight is not 1:1. For my own mental health im going to just assume you and everyone else writing this is a bot or joking. Please stop praising without any standards.
All of them were so nice, this is what I love about ppl who do sports be it body building, martial arts or anything. Good vibes as always Magnus!
Honestly love videos that show the love of sports, exercise, calisthenics etc. Across people. Videos like this showcase the connectivity and community within working out, climbing calisthenics, and exercise.
what a delightful video. just people pushing themselves and being open to some friendly competition. plus that little girl's mental fortitude was inspiring
I'm aware of how insanely strong you are, but I'll be honest Magnus, I've been rooting for the girl. Nice of you to give her the reward, she totally deserved it
What a supportive, encouraging, pleasant and fun demeanor Magnus has. Jätte kul.
the two women hanging together were super strong, and the bodybuilders? much respect for them!
Guy in blue shorts was smart . Definitely a good strategy when you know your weaknesses
Respect for keeping the losses in the video. And for the absolutely awesome way you treated that awesome little girl.
I was impressed by that young girl, kids can be super strong, and they can be all in the tendons but she powered through the burn like a champ!
She also only weighed about as much as a fly 😂😂
kids have good relative strength cause their weight is so low, it's all about the strength to weight ratio
@@stayontrack yup my son would do one arm press-ups when he was 7 or 8, I'm pretty sure he couldn't do them now as a teenager even though he is a lot stronger.
In grade 4 i could do 45 pushups, and i could do about 5 with a friend sitting on my back. Now im grown and can only do 25 pushups max
@@pleaseenteranamelol711 well, then you have some catching up to do
The second guy with the 1000 IQ move. Bravo!
Another fun video. The little girl and her dad were by far the biggest hit for me 😃
That little girl was awesome!!! I'm so glad Magnus gave her $100!!! I'm in tears. You can train someone to be strong but you can't train someone to have a good heart.
was not expecting the slow technique, really smart!
You’re awesome Magnus. Thanks for such high quality content. It really shows how much pride you take in your work ❤
I love how Magnus can’t help it and has to cheer everyone on, even if he is competing 👍🏼
Watching your videos has given me a whole new passion for rock climbing, and I’m going to go bouldering for my birthday. Thanks for the amazing content!!
Of course, I'm here for the climbing, you're the reason I'm climbing at all and I really didn't expect to like this video but you've definitely lived up to what you wanted. You're definitely am amazing climber, editor and content creator. I started watching just cause it's you and I stayed of course because it's still you but because the video was just so good. Love your videos, keep up the phenomenal work!!!
God bless that young girl , her mindset will take her far
Nice to see some humility from Magnus in the pushups challenge. There isn't a high chance some random people are going to beat him at pullups, or especially hanging, even on the muscle beach
edit. Magnus should have to do muscle ups while the competitor does pullups, to make it more even 😄
it should be noted that he had done several hang and pull up challenges prior to the pushups.. still the other guy still had plenty left in the tank , wonder what his max reps would have been
@@shaderbytes yeah he was seriously strong man
'maybe 40' was a good misleading quote. Serious amount of pushups. Curious how many he can do total.
@@MaurisOpdam with that conditioning probably over 100 easy
6:41 lil girl killed it 💪
Kid strength:weight is an advantage lol
@@tim.noonan nah, he's done this challenge with kids before. Lucky if you see a kid do more than a minute. This girl was awesome
@@tim.noonan girl started struggling at a little over 1 minute and kept at it for more or less a minute more. Others start struggling and give up after a just few seconds
That kid - super COOL! thank you for giving her the reward anyway - that shows more about you guys than all the challenges
one of the best videos I've seen in a while. Good job! love both u and Brandon
The girl was so wholesome. Makes me happy you gave her the reward despite her losing the challenge 😊
1:35 Bro, Magnus' arm is INSANE!
This turned out to be way more entertaining and inspiring than I expected.
The grip strength of rock climbers is insaneeeee
Hey Magnus I was introduced to you by Ludwig and your videos have pushed me to try out rock climbing and so far I absolutely love it. Thanks for inspiring me to get out of my comfort zone and picking up climbing.
Stay safe out there brother
6:47, respect guys that was so kind and it will probably motivate more people to be kind!
I learned a lot from this! I'm definitely including slower reps and hanging into my workouts from now on. Thank you so much for sharing. And I'm so happy the little girl won the 💯 dollars! She is unbelievable! And your hand strength endurance, Magnus, is superhuman💪🏾 😆
Really happy you gave that little girl the $100. Superb show of class recognizing what a little warrior she was.
Smiling throughout this. I look forward to meeting you guys sometime
The guy in the thumbnail kind of looks like a muscular bearded Benedict Cumberbatch.
+1 Came here to say he was the Mediterranean muscular version of Benedict Cumberbatch.
Thought it was a photoshop hahaha
Yaaas! 😂
yep, lol
Ever since I saw you on Ludwig’s channel, I’ve been binging your content for weeks now. I watch at least 2 videos a day. Excellent stuff.
Same
The subtle shift in Magnus' facial expression always tells me when he turns his competitive fire on, love it!
"Pounds are heavy" he makes a hell of a good point.
the girl around the 6:00 mark has a very tough spirit, she was feeling discomfort WAY before she stopped! she could be a great athlete one day.
What I love about stuff like this is people working out always seem to be very nice for the most part!!
@@Hillgrov yeah true enough!
It's nice to see wonderful people play together in such a friendly and supportive way!
Doctor: Ripped Benedict Cumberbatch isn't real, he won't beat you at pushups.
Ripped Benedict Cumberbatch: 12:48
Yup, i also was like wtf, is that somekind of deepfake?
LMFAO THAT WAS MY FIRST THOUGHT
That kid hanging for 2:40 is build different. Most adults don't have that kind of pain tolerance.
Kids are crazy stubborn. I knew a kid that could hold his breath until he passed out. Can't even get close to that as an adult.
Yeah I once hid for 3 hours in a cramped space for Hide and Seek as a kid. Stubborn as Hell
@@El_Rey_247 You think thats stubborn? I once knew a kid that killed himself.
Also kids are lighter so they have less strain
I think every1 watching this video should try to hang to understand how incredible was the performance of the little girl.. i trained myself randomly for like 20 years doing pull up. I tryed for fun if i can beat little girl time, i am not even close. After first min the pain is so hard that i give up everytime, also because i'm not even close, so i don't see the point on trying to suffer so much when i'm still so far from that time.. unbelievable i'm so impressed. Thx you for rewarding her. Unbelievable!
The last guy with the pushups was also very impressive 👏 But props to everybody in the video! 👍
Magnus literally min-maxing on the first pull-up challenge. Big brain
And then he needs less energy right ?
I like the gesture towards the hanging little girl, how you rewarded her and support the kid by giving her 100$ thats a huge moment for her what will stay for her entire life probably she got motivated and got a lesson out of it!
You did some really great collabs in a short period of time keep it up!
Man so glad you rewarded that girls hard work, that was SO amazing !
1:36 "I dont know, i think you look stronger" Magnus says unironically
Lmao, I love that second man. Dood is literally walking around casually playing chess with his environment. That little girl in the blue shirt is apparently training for American Ninja Warrior. Over 2 minutes is wild.
The little girl definitely earned it! She gonna be a great athlete one day.
"I have no money right now, that's why I needed it."
"That's perfect!"
fuckn lol
This was really fun to watch! And they didn't win them all either! Loved it that you gave the little girl $100, sure made her day!
I'd love to see Brandon climb! Get him on the walls! 💪😁
The little made me smile so wide in a looonnng time. She made a lot of us genuinely smile at her sheer will power something so many of us adults lack these days.
When I was 18 and 19 I would do 100 pushups before bed, every night. Now 57 years later, I can do maybe 10. To be able to do 100 again would be a hell of a goal. Knowing my body, probably I'd pull a muscle along the way. But at least, hopefully no heart attacks.
Walk first
My personal best was 97 pushups and that was 29 years ago. Two years ago I did a 100 a day for a while but never more than 40 or 50 at a time.
That girl was actually incredible, thats so impressive
1:51 that dude is smart as hell. “I know I can’t do more but if he’s going to match whatever I do then I can try to give myself the advantage.”
Anybody notice how chill and nice most bodybuilders are? confident people who don't pretend to be something else love it! respect! great videos these are awesome to watch now I best put down this burger and find a gym! lol
I found your channel last month and am now getting into rock climbing. Injured my wrist the second time I went. But I cannot wait to get back to the gym.
