I not happy 😥😢😭
i'm from Bangladesh 🇧🇩
& Tremors is my All time favourite classic movie ever...
This movie made me love landscape of America
This has Kevin Bacon in it? Sorry, I'm gonna pass - I'm vegan.
A better movie to check out with Kevin bacon is death sentence
It’s set in Nevada
Tremors is the perfect example of a movie that turned out way better than it had any right to be. Solid writing, good characters and well done effects. It spawned many sequels but nothing tops the original. RIP Fred Ward
I agree, it is an extremely well written film. Good writing does not have to be complex or full of big words.
Yep. Many equals and a short lived tv series
i think they even teach the script as a good source of writing
Tremors 2 is the best one of the movies
@@anthonypennington5788assblaters!
One of those rare horror movies where almost everyone is smart and makes sensible, or at least understandable decisions. Especially Burt Gummer, that guy is a legend.
Aside from the kids.
Even the worker in the beginning armed himself just in case there was a killer
Tremors is NOT a horror movie.
@@Spottedfeather ?
@@christopherb501 I mean they are kids.
Seeing Michael Gross go from ex hippie tv dad to survivalist was awesome back in the day.
This movie never gets old no matter how many times I watch it
RIP, Fred Ward, 1942-2022
A truly great horror/comedy is rare and "Tremors" is one of the best.
PG -13 and still one awesome thriller of a movie.
“How Many Rounds Do They Have?” “Yes.” was such a good edit 😂
Peppers prepare! It is so refreshing that they are shown as good, decent people.
So in sync.
When Miss Cherry said “get squished” , I found it thrilling
"Walter no!"
Egg Shen's retirement after defeating Lo Pan didn't go so well 😅
Maybe he should have applied some of those techniques he taught to Rocky, Colt, and Tumtum!
@@jasonmiller3543 Oh my god! Is that a 3 Ninjas reference? Holy shit, haven't thought about that movie in like 2 decades easily.
He should have gone back to China like Jack said, instead of changing his name and moving to Nevada.
He spent a little time teaching Theoretical Physics in between the events as well.
The waters are clear in the beginning but then grow murky with our victory....
"What the hell does that mean Egg?"...
It means we're getting eaten by large land worms Jack
This is one of my favourite movies. The effects still hold up to this day, the writing and the characters is still solid and flawless. R.I.P Fred Ward.
Mindy escaped Graboids just to have to deal with Velociraptors later in Jurassic Park. Haha
Not to forget she had a lil crush on grant
Actually before dealing with velociraptors she helped save the world and helped aliens return home (1990 movie called space invaders)
@@JasonKreider-eq8kp true haha. I’ve seen that one once
Then she came back later for the third movie, Back to Perfection. When they were fighting a new step in Graboid evolution, the gas propelled flying A-s Blaster.
@@JasonKreider-eq8kp Spaced Invaders, that was a funny one.
"Jaws on Land" was an amazingly astute observation. Kudos.
Another great, but not funny at all, "Jaws on Land" movie is "The Edge" with Anthony Hopkins and Alec Baldwin.
Go to school, come home, watch tremors Betamax video, sleep, repeat.
My childhood circa early 90s, glorious times 🙏😀
That prairie dog hole scene is the best! 😂😂
A simple yet compelling concept executed near flawlessly with some great performances, characters that make mostly smart decisions, and Fred Ward and Kevin Bacon together is a treat. It's very easy to love this movie.
I love how this movie does not take itself seriously.
That's the most realistic part of the movie...
SO entertaining. One of my comfort movies from childhood that I can still appreciate.
I'm so glad you've finally watched my favorite movie of all time. I'd also highly recommend the sequel, Tremors II.
I can remember, vividly, when my father first showed me this movie as a small child. I fell in love with everything about it instantly. For my entire childhood I wanted that exact same pickup truck they drive through most of the movie. My friends and I used to play games, where we'd pretend there were graboids under our backyards, and we'd tried to traverse all around without ever touching the ground.
Great times, great movie. It holds up so well, and I watch it every single Halloween. Also happened to be released the year of my birth. Where my other 1990ers at?
When the girl, Mindy, is posing with the "snake monster," it is $3.00 for a photo, not $300.
3⁰⁰
Mindy is played by the actress who played the grand daughter in Jurrasic Park.
Thank you, I was looking for someone to comment on that.
"The ad said 3000"
@@CYB3R2K $30.00 maybe??🤔
I love this movie. One of the few times where I was actually rooting for the "survivors" in a monster flick since they weren't all idiots. Tremors 2 was also good, but a different type of movie.
True, but Tremors 2 still has a similar vibe to this one.
The teen needed to go.
The actress who played Mindy Sterngood in this movie is Ariana Richards, the same actress who played Lex Murphy from Jurassic Park.
Mary mentioned in her out-tro that she recognized Ariana from JP.
She also had a small part in the Jurassic Park sequel, The Lost World: Jurassic Park."
I believe she has retired from acting. Haven’t seen her in anything since that small cameo in Lost world
@@GoobiesFunZone Last i heard she became an artist.🤓
@@GoobiesFunZone LAst thing she has done was voice over work for Lego Jurassic World and is also a successful artist. You can find her paintings online pretty easily.
"That would have been my first thing taking off my pants." Mary Cherry 10/16/24 🤣
The voice of experience
Kevin Bacon is known to have that effect..... :)
@davidcross4596 I don't know about *that* but Australians *do* tend to be a pretty pragmatic bunch. 🤔
And they have a *lot* of experience with lethal wildlife. 😁
I've seen it at a party once.
6:30 "How is he holding on?" Look at his belt. Edgar looped his belt around the metal frame to keep him secured to the tower.
"Where did they come up with this idea?" S.S. Wilson the co-writer for this film, was working for the Navy in the 1970's, he took a moment to rest on a rock in the deserts of Nevada and he thought to himself "What if something kept me from this leaving this rock." At the time he was thinking of ant-lions. He scribbled the idea as Land Sharks. And that led to this. Check out Tremors 2. It's a lot of fun,
“Guts, severed heads, blood, gore - A OK!”
“Guns? GUNS?? BLUR THEM”
Murica youtubing.
Mary is from Australia 🇦🇺
They gave up private gun ownership in 1991. The effects on freedom of expression has been chilling. Having them blurred out is minor example.
@@bobsylvester88 ik. UA-cam is murican corpo. But since marry is aussie , high chance the reglementation sync on that. Well it mostly does. Sometimes they just do it for the sake of it. Zxemple: jap content ir anime that got censored in things that is usually only censored by westerners/ murican.

Nice addition of the Whilhelm scream 😂
One of my top 10 films to rewatch. Top quality viewing.
Just a little correction, the town of Perfection is in Nevada, not Nebraska. Also, the population was 14, so most of them survived.
Tremors has a surprisingly high survivor count for a horror. 9 survivors and 8 dead.
“Nebraska” 😂. I wonder if she would be annoyed if we said Perth was just north of Sydney.
we're not in Kansas anymore. I mean Nebraska. 😄
Need more cows and corn for Nebraska. 😂
Thank you. I thought I was hearing things
"lucky every one is loaded" you know what they call an unloaded firearm right? A paper weight
Melvin is kind of a tool, but you have to remember, he's the only teenage boy in possibly hundreds of miles. He must be bored out of his mind, so pranks are a pretty harmless way to relieve the stress.
That and his parents aren't around to reign him in
Yeah I've always wondered that. What is Melvin doing out there by himself?
@@avisser5345 Isn't he Mindy's older brother?
@christhompson2006 I don't think so
@@avisser5345His father is the guy that gets eaten through the tyre I think? Not sure about his mother
This was one of my favorite movies as a kid. The practical effects were better than most cgi. This movie has some great scenes in it. Anyone who likes monster movies with plenty of action should give this a try.
This is one of the best sci-fi horror creature features that you never get bored watching, the fact that they can make practical effects look so terrifying and made from a premise that sounds totally ridiculous at least on paper “underground monsters”. But that scene where everyone is hardly taking the danger seriously when Val, Earl, and Rhonda try to explain what they’re all up against makes this film even better in my opinion, because at least it’s aware and has fun with its odd premise. Shows what you can do with a concept that would not seem to work but ultimately can.
I love the Tremors film franchise. I remember constantly watching the first film on VHS and then in 1996 discovering the direct to VHS sequel Tremors 2: Aftershocks. More sequels and a short lived TV series followed.
The two things you need in life, swiss cheese and bullets
Also a few household chemicals in the proper proportions.
How do you think the holes get in the cheese
T.P. makes 3
"They sound like an old married couple" Yep, sums them up quite nice indeed 🙂
This one has become a classic one. Great action, humor and horror movie. Still one of my favorites. Thanks for watching and reacting on this one.
"I wonder if there's a 'Tremors 2'?" Great editing decision at 38:00. Also, this series has been a favorite my whole life. Glad you were able to find it and enjoyed it.
Burt was in a well known sitcom over here. He played the father on Family Ties, which is also where Michael J Fox started. Also Jason Bateman's real life sister Justine was on the show. (Funnily enough both Jason and Michael would play Teen Wolfs later.) He's been a few movies as well but usually kinda smaller parts.
Earl has been in a lot of stuff. Even recently, though he passed away not too long ago. One of his biggest roles was he played the titular Remo Williams in an 80s movie, that also starred Kate Mulgrew who later played Capt Janeway in Star Trek Voyager, and Wilford Brimley.
As someone who used to live in Nebraska I appreciate the call out! This movie is based in Nevada though. No desert land in Nebraska.
I kept trying to figure out where the hell she got Nebraska from. 🤣
One of my favorite horror movies because mostly everyone is intelligent and has something to offer, not too much gore, and most of the primary cast lives.
The exact opposite reasons why I love The Thing.
Most of the cast of the original Thing from Another World (1951) survive. The remake is truer to the short story that was the basis for the movies. In the original, the producers thought the notion of a shape-shifting alien was beyond the science fiction audiences of the day. Still, it gave James Arness a start in movies.
@@cesarebeccaria7641 i have seen both and am aware of the trivia 😉
Dune for the cultured
LOL
I would say dune for the redneck 😊
Dune X Jaws.
I love this movie. It’s one of my favourite horror-comedies. RIP Fred Ward.
And that car scene where Val and Earl find the headlights and radio still on always sticks with me too - at least since a couple of years ago when I sat for half an hour listening to an audiobook play while I waited for a doctors appointment during the lockdowns and my battery completely died doing that.
Fred was good in Sweet home Alabama too
@@allenruss2976 he’s so great in Sweet Home Alabama.
Tremors was the best Sci-Fi movie franchise ever made but most importantly the Graboids are one-of-a-kind
Or if you include the sequels, three of a kind?
Fred Ward ("Earl") is the lead in one of my favorite guilty pleasure films "Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins"
This actually my favorite old horror franchise and I highly recommend finishing it
Pure fun from start to finish. The entire cast is terrific!

I’m glad you watched this. This is a VERY underrated gem from the 90s. Good laughs, good scares, good practical effects, and great characters including Reba McEnrire who sings the outro song!!!
Also, for anyone wondering what that round blue machine Reba put her empty bullet casings in is a casing tumblr to clean them after being used.
And…
“CAN YOU FLY YLU SUCKER?! CAN YOU FLY????!!!!!” 😂😂😂
(Don’t watch 5, 6 and 7 because they are not as good. Just watch 1, 2, 3 and 4. They’re the better ones)
I used to have a neighbor who tumbled so many casings they couldn't have all been his. I suspected he policed them up from a shooting range and reloaded for sale.
This is the rare film that has mostly good sequels, as well.
Tremors wasn't set in Nebraska, it was set in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Nevada.
This cast is amazing top to bottom. Fantastic effects, great writing, just a really wonderful flick and definitely deserves it's "classic" status
LOL, that ‘bazooka’ was actually an elephant gun.
8:04-8:12 😂
Give Mary a break. She's in Australia where hardly anyone can own a gun and even UA-cam videos must have guns blurred out!

The best thing about this movie is that no one is trying to hunt the monsters, they only want to escape. And it didn't need to take place in a dark and dreary setting. Broad daylight. That's freaking scary.
"Is there a Tremors 2?"
Hell, there's a Tremors 6!
Lol i think we're up to eight now😂
Fred Ward is a great character actor. He's a terrific part of the interplay with Kevin Bacon. All the roles were well cast and written. Great comedy horror flick
I loved him as Gus Grissom in "The Right Stuff"
22:47 "That would have been my first thing, taking off my pants." Well! Now we know.
4:18 That’s my philosophy. Plan ahead and do nothing right now.
So happy people are checking out this film. It's not a super horror film, but it still keeps you on your toes. Its a perfect blend of comedy and thriller with some hilarious one liners.
Earl and Val are like the OG Winchesters. They got the rock, paper, scissors game, the nicknames 29:28, and even hairstyle. All they need now is a cool car.
Fred Ward-Earl-may be best known by people for being the dad in Sweet Home Alabama.
I want to watch this but I'll be asleep in 3 hours. Tremors is one of my all time favorite films!
I have always loved B movies, especially sci fi/monster movies, and one thing the best ones have in common, they lean into their, "B movie ness" and don't take themselves too seriously. Tremors is a prime example, nearly everything in this movie is done with a hidden smirk at how ludicrous everything is.
As far as how they knew about Burts truck, it was circling the house trying to figure it out, and the vibrations of it moving set off the alarm, which of course made them attack.
Burt's wife is Country singer Reba McEntire.
Her first movie. She also recorded the end titles song, "Why Not Tonight?"
I know you’re not usually into looking at DTV movies, but if you’re interested in continuing with this series there are plenty of sequels. Up to the 4th was when it was good before the recent two movies that were meh. Plus there’s an underrated 13-episode series that takes place after the 3rd film.

RIP Fred Ward
This is one of my favorites. It’s just great fun. If you liked this one I’d absolutely recommend the next film, Aftershocks.
About time lol
This movie is a classic. So good lol
Good job, editor, your replays are 👨🏻🍳chef's kiss.
The energy between these two is the way really good friends are. We can get kind of loony. I had a friend like that once.
I don't know how everyone else felt about the sequels, but I enjoyed all of them. Some funnier than others.
Yay! Watch the whole series please.
"At least they didn't use the Wilhelm Scream". Next thing we hear- Wilhelm Scream.
Captain Kirk’s baby mama & Samantha Mathis’s real mom, is the blonde when the generator issue happened & Mary screamed very very high.
One of my favorite evenings at the movies was seeing this on a Friday night at the bargain theater, which was sold out with people just looking for a great time. We got it, too!! So much fun screaming at the screen, telling the, to RUUUUUUUNNNNNN!!!
“Jaws, but on land,” was pretty much the pitch for this movie. The draft scripts were titled “Land Sharks” but SNL had a recurring “Land shark” skit so they changed the title.
We plan ahead, that way we don’t do anything right now. Earl explained it to me.
Perfection had population 14 according to the sign more than half survived
Great flick, if you liked it Tremors 2 is worth watching too. YMMV on the rest.
She had zinc-oxide on her nose, not sunscreen.
I completely forgot Reba was in this! 😆😂🤣
This movie started her acting career. Actor in 66 movies and TV shows. Producer of 15.
I've seen a few people react to this movie and that generator jumpscare never fails to deliver. Lol
Mary, I can’t believe I’m up, but I am. Good morning, all. Perfection was built from scratch for the movie.
There are a couple "making of" videos on UA-cam. Worth your time...or at least worth my time when I'm on the treadmill!
Why did I think that Mary had already watched this?
You say Jaws on Land, I say The Floor is Lava: The Movie. LOL
Good combo of both.
Jaws on Land™
The Floor is Lava: The Movie™
and American Dune™
😂
It's fun that you compare it to Jaws, that's what the writer was thinking about when he came up with this film. "what if Jaws, but on land?"
I've already said it, but another great "Jaws on Land" movie is "The Edge", with Anthony Hopkins and Alec Baldwin. Far more serious movie, with some great and very subtle social commentary.
What made this movie so great were the characters. Loved everyone in this.
those two jump scare reactions were just awesome

This was a movie my sister and I enjoyed as kids! 😅😅😅
"Must be a million of them!"
"😳 Nope, just one!"

Michael Gross finished his last day on Family Ties,

quite the difference 😂
I love this movies since I was a kid I've never thought of it as a horror movie.
You learn something new everyday!😂
“This town need to be rid of these things once and for all!” No such luck, Mary. The town of Perfection is the setting for the prequel, the TV series, and many of the ‘countless’ sequels. But you might be happy to know, Walter’s daughter inherits the store, Miguel’s daughter is also there, AND the actor playing Melvin, reprises the role. He a bigger jerk as an adult. LOL.
I was 19 when this movie came out and saw it twice in the theater; I quickly grew to love it. Tremors reminds me a little of the big bug movies from the 1950's. Not all of them were great, but they are enjoyable. My favorite is the 1954 film THEM! about giant, mutated ants that were a result of the atomic bomb tests in New Mexico. One of the things that made it work was that the film makers actually built giant ants that could move around. I loved the music in Tremors; it was amazing. Kevin Bacon and the late Fred Ward were great as Val and Earl; such great chemistry. A movie Finn Carter was in before Tremors was the comedy How I Got Into College. That is another movie I love. Thank you for reacting to one of my favorite movies.
Creatures mutated by A-bomb tests were a favorite in the 1950's. Ants, spiders, lobsters, and some slimy water critter in the Salton Sea in "Monster that Challenged the World." Radiation and insecticide even caused "The Incredible Shrinking Man."
This is basically “Dune: the Slasher movie” lol
One of my favorite guilty pleasures!
Mine too, but I don't feel guilty.
The kind of funny thing about Tremors is that Michael Gross (Burt) is playing completely against type. He's way more known in America for a mid-80's sitcom called Family Ties, that also had Michael J. Fox on it, where he played a kind of liberal/pacifist dad character. So him playing a super rightwing/survivalist guy in Tremors was really great.
