What a great looking build on an old classic kit ! Very clean assembly and the final result looks as good as larger scale modern kit ! Very well done, on of the best 1/72 scale builds I've seen !
David R Lentz, Columbus, Ohio, USA Well, now, a DOUBLE delight this is! I can see at every turn that you, Boris (as I infer from your channel’s name) are a genuinely skilful model builder; as can anyone seeing your video, of that I am certain. Indeed, you are adept technically, and creatively gifted!-clever in your judgement of how to proceed, and flawless in your execution. An even bigger surprise, and a real joy, is that this Revell kit-REVELL!-is an absolute astonishment in its precision inside and out! Even more, you make it all work! Please tell us more of your interests, and your aspirations you have yet to attain. I have in mind numerous ideas for model building, and dramatising through dioramas, on the land, or on the seas, or in the air above, events they would depict, though I lack the means to actualise them. I therefore come to UA-cam to watch videos, and smile in wistful enjoyment.
I've only seen one other build of this model apart from this one, and hands down this one is the best. This particular kit I ordered yesterday and by the power of Amazon it arrived today. I've looked it over and for someone who only builds 1.48 scale fighters this looks a bit daunting to me. I will add it to my stash, keep looking at it until I build up my confidence to tackle it.. Good build mate well worth the 30 minute watch, thanks
I built this kit as "Ye Olde Pub" ,( with battle damage !) it is an amazing kit , only problems I had was fit of top and ball turret , both rather loose and sloppy . Good result nevertheless !
Great work! Well done, this is easily the hardest kit I’ve attempted so far, and failed, just had to give up as I struggled to get the fuselage wing spar, bulkhead sections to all marry up at the same time. Time is a great healer and I’m keen to try again! I’m hoping somehow Revel have retooled or I was just unlucky with the kit, the flash on seats and detailed bits for example I found in abundance. This is a great reference and will definitely help. If there is a newer Revel in F or G, anyone would recommend? It’s just not an easy project the detail is really good. Colour instructions would be nice. Also the plans and paint designations were a bit overly complicated. Probably build a few fighters to get into the swing of things first. Thanks.
Nice build, when I built my B-17 I went with the vintage memphis belle delux set that was a beginner set cause Im not a fan of putting so much time and detail into the inside and then closing it up. The set i built has the detail where you can see it
Ya know. I understand why modelers like the B-17 variants. More so than the B-24 (which was superior). But, the B-17 was a death trap. Useless. The German pilots looked at the B-17 as a flying target, nothing more. So many Americans died in the 17, useless, slow, poorly designed. The Lancaster (bigger faster and more bomb load) lost even more. The Lancaster had NO ball turret under the aircraft. The Germans called it the "sweet spot".
Interesting opinion. I still think that the heavy losses were due to the wrong strategy of using a large number of bombers without fighter cover. Thanks for the comment.

Спасибо за комментарий. В видео про Thunderbolt на моем канале есть похожая техника только с использованием лака для волос👍

This set lasted me for ten years before I assembled it. Have a good assembly!
@@dandy193 it is an impressive kit, the box itself is exciting! Thanks all for your replies

Hello! Don't despair, everyone has unfinished models. Airfix makes the B-17, a kit very similar to Revell's but with clearer instructions. Thank you!
Excellent job!
Magnificent work!
Thank you. Your comments are incredibly motivating!
Very nice work
Thanks!

Если я не ошибаюсь это был B-29 а в СССР Ту-4.
What is the powder you use around the windows for filling purposes?
Great job. A question: what pressure do you work? Thanks
Thanks
1.5 bar
Perfect 👍
I keep hoping that Revell will Re Tool theirs Kits and finally start adding some riveting ! 😡
