The HP books are amazing. I've decided it's time to read them with my 7.5yro son, and I'm so excited !! My husband and I are huge fans. Entirely different experience from the movies.
I would love to have a nice DND journal, but I haven't started an "official" one yet. I usually just use a notebook to take notes during the sessions. They can be pretty messy haha.
Sounds like you've had a pretty eventful month! I would love to hear more about your DnD character and/or the campaign, hope you're having a brilliant time 😊
Thank you Ru! I am playing a Half-Elf Druid and our campaign is all about saving metallic dragons, and defeating chromatic dragons, all by keeping their eggs/offspring safe! In our 1st session we saved a priestess and she is going to lead us to the metallic dragons home :)
I used to read Harry Potter every year but with JK being the way she is now… I feel very conflicted and haven’t read them in a few years. Those books were my happy place. You’re going to love them. Harry literally grows up on those pages. Books 1 and 2 are a far cry from the darkness that follows Prisoner of Azkaban. Also loving your 30 inks!
I think if it brings you joy then they are worth reading 😊 We cannot control the actions of others, and if you already have the books, you aren't supporting her by spending more money. I'm really excited for the "dark" bits, I love dark fantasy/dark academia and hope that I can enjoy them!
As someone who thinks J.K. is now Voldemort but has read the series several times...you're going to realize the movies fell...SHORT. The books will be a completely new experience and I hope you love them.
Reading the books with my kids and then watching the movies was so validating. “These movies are NOT as good as the books, mom!” “Where are the house elves?” “Why did they leave so much out?” 😂😭🫠
I am so excited to read them!! I feel like movies always fall short from the books, there's just too many details and emotions that can't be portrayed the way you imagine them.
@@mydandeliondiaries Absolutely and I don't think I can truly explain just how many details were left out lol. The books are pretty legendary. Take your time with them and savor the moments.
@@jessicaburris629 That part. The house elves were such huge characters but they just felt like a means to an end throughout the series. I am a proud member of S.P.E.W.
The HP books compared to the movies are AMAZING. Just push through the first two- they’re as equally as amazing as the rest of the series, but from books 3 and on they’re more YA and become increasingly darker, dealing with much heavier topics. The first two are much more kid-ish… if that makes sense. I’ve know adults to quit the series for that reason alone. I, on the other hand, reread them every couple of years during the fall and my daughter is on her first read through!
The movies are good for movies but they are nothing compared to the books! Those books are my happy place I have re-read and listened to them on audible countless times.
For me, pre planning is all about mapping out what you think the week will look like from tasks to appts. Then I go in and bullet journal the day. Memory planning is taking the things I want to remember and make them aesthetically pleasing. I am not a huge memory planner.
I actually have a whole series I've dedicated to fountain pen beginnings :) If you want to watch it, here is the link: ua-cam.com/play/PLU2fyB-Bjm_bwRh4-SFUdHrtEf0d-oGkd.html&si=LTl02YaVAzSLKG3b If not, I would highly recommend starting out with a Platinum Preppy fountain pen, or a Pilot Kakuno. Both of those pens come with a cartridge so you wouldn't need to worry about ink yet. BUT if you want to get a bottle of ink and a pen together, I would say the TWSBI Eco is a great choice for the pen, and a bottle of ink can be whatever color you like! :)
So exciting to find another D&D-er in the planner community! Are you playing a module or is it more homebrew? Are y'all using the 2024 PHB or 2014 ruleset? Would love to chat D&D.
It is more homebrew :) We are using a mix of the new PHB and the legacy rules. I am playing a 2024 Druid but another member in the group is a 2014 Druid. It is wild to see the differences in how you can build the characters.
@@mydandeliondiaries Sounds awesome! Druids are my favorite class to play. I can't wait until my DM wraps this current campaign so I can try out a 2024 PC. I'm currently playing a cleric, which I love, but some of the changes I think are pretty cool and I'd like to see how they play. What subclass are you leaning for your Druid?
@@cassilynne I am planning on doing the Circle of land! (Specifically the mountain route depending on how my DM wants to us to do it). The Cleric was the other character I thought about doing! I love the "healers" lol
@@mydandeliondiaries Me too! I think I read with the new 2024 rules that as a Circle of the Land Druid you'll be able to change which "land" you get extra spells from on a long rest? I could be wrong, but that would be super cool and open up a lot of options for ya. Wishing you a fun game and a great campaign!

I love those day # in ink! Now I gotta try this somehow.
I used a Speedball B1 nib, but you could easily use a paint brush, or any pen and color them in like bubble letters 😊

how do you "memory plan"? what is a "pre-plan"? one seems to be an oxymoron, the other redundant. do those mean anything specific?
For me, pre planning is all about mapping out what you think the week will look like from tasks to appts. Then I go in and bullet journal the day. Memory planning is taking the things I want to remember and make them aesthetically pleasing. I am not a huge memory planner.
Memory planning is journaling as far as I'm concerned, and I've always found it strange that the planner community uses that phrase.
