Thanks. Speedpaints are fun (and there are still a few Cursed City Speedpainting videos to upload to complete that series) but I was never going to give up traditional painting techniques and always intended to come back to them for the channel. I will still be using Speedpaints for projects I just need to burn through quickly, but video coverage will be reduced as I think by this stage I've shown what they can do well enough.
Yeah the the Speedpaint videos were still great, it’s nice to see what each one can do (I’m buying the white cause it’s so hard to shade white and the Speedpaint should do that nicely), and yeah they’re great for stuff you don’t want to paint properly. I’m just more of a traditional painting guy tho, slapping Contrast and Speedpaints on just don’t feel like real mini painting to me. But they are good at what they do.
I know what you mean. I am a traditionalist (I've never even used Contrast paints), but I do enjoy having the Speedpaints option available for some things that I know are never going to get painted otherwise. I will probably blitz Blackstone Fortress with them, but all my Oldhammer stuff and my tabletop stuff like Moonstone and Burrows and Badgers will continue getting the works. Oh, and the Holy White is definitely really good, and has already made its way into projects where I am otherwise using regular paints.
Nice one for this. I've literally just finished doing my first corridor using this method (although I swapped for Vallejo English Uniform, Khaki and Elfic Flesh) and it has turned out great. Ridiculously quick too. Should hopefully fly through the rest.
Glad to hear it went well. These terrain sets look amazing when they are done, but finding a quick way to do it is essential for me as I would get fed up with it otherwise.
There are links in the video description, but it's getting a full retail release so you might want to check with your retailer of choice to see if they are getting the sets in.
@@Ben_Mdws Yes, thank you. I did send you a personal message by email thanking you for your contribution. If you didn’t get it you might want to check your spam filter.
Que genial!!!... tengo los productos del kickstarer y son maravillosos para armar una mesa de 120x120, y con este video me he motivado a pintarlos... se agradece mucho por este buenisimo tutorial... super motivante!!!...
Great video! I love all your tabletop painting guides, they’re my number one go to. Good to see them back after all the Speedpaint stuff.

Of the pieces so far my favorite is the mine floor piece with puddles.
Yeah, the floor pieces for the mine have some really nice detailing.

Would love to get a couple of sets of this! & my painting skills are top notch!

Great results!

@@AlwaysBoardNeverBoring 👍🏼 - sent a little PayPal amount your way recently, did you get it?

@@AlwaysBoardNeverBoring great! Don’t use PayPal that much so wasn’t I’d done it right 😆👍🏼
@@Ben_Mdws It worked fine. Those donations all go into running the channel so thank you for helping me to keep new content coming out every week.

Thanks so much for the kind words. I'm happy you found the video motivating, and I hope your own painting project goes well.
Looks great as usual. Nice job mate.
Thank you.
Am I hearing a song in the distance..?
"....I am a dwarf and I'm digging a hole..."
Diggy diggy hole, diggy diggy hole.
Hi Kev, You said that the doors are stiff after painting and over time the paint may rub off - That is just like in real life so no worries there :)
Ha. That's true enough. At least these ones won't swell and contract as the weather changes!
They are awesome sets need 👍👍👍
The Dungeons and Lasers terrain is excellent.
And they call it a Mine!
This is no mine. It’s a tomb.
Great vid.
Thank you.
Awesome
