Awesome job on the cushion! We learn something new every time we upgrade our campers. Like the thicker the sleeping cushions the better :) It's good to see you making great progress. 😎 STOC
Thanks! Ours is meant to be just a day bed, no overnight camping planned yet. Mostly just park at the beach and have a home base to hang out in. Still a long ways to go and doing some creature comfort work until I have a long enough time break to dive into rust repair.
@@callalilycollective oye, yes, always rust somewhere...to quote a samba member "rust never sleeps". Your dub is looking fantastic! It's fun to watch you making it your own :) as well as the other stuff you're doing/done. That surfboard yo, its "Tight, tight like a tiger!" (Quote from Goldmember towards Austin powers) 😎 STOC
@@SundryTalesOfConstance79WESTY yep that’s a good quote. Luckily all the rust I have found so far is on the body, and the frame is looking good. Big fan of Austin powers, so great reference. Surfboards are my passion project, and the bus is my tinkering hobby. Thanks again for checking out my projects 🤙
When I installed that POS rock n roll seat, I made it so the ply wood backing on the seat would sit level flush with the over engine floor. Then I just used the same thickness and density foam that I used for the seat cushions. I think it was 4" foam. There are a few foam supply website that you can order custom thickness sheets from if you need to match a specific height. Its not that much more expensive than buying standard thickness foam. Unless you mean something else? The cushion does squish against the top of the rear seat, and you do have to push it out of the way slightly when converting into a bed. But it's really not a noticeable problem.

Nice! I bought same flooring from Amazon. How did you get cushion leveled with rear seat in the way.
