We live in Minnesota. My husband while raking leaves yesterday found a white bougie. We have the bird in our house now and it is eating and has freshwater and a small cage for the time being. We are trying to find the owners, but I don’t know if we’re gonna have any luck. We don’t know the first thing about parakeets, and if this sweetheart can’t find its home, we are willing to take care of it unless we find someone who would be willing to take it in and knows a lot about this bird. How do I tell if it’s a male or female also any advice on how to care for it. Do you bathe them?
Here’s how you could respond to the comment: It’s great that you’re taking care of the bird! To tell if the budgie is male or female, check the color of the cere (the area above the beak): • Males usually have a blue or purplish cere. • Females have a tan, white, or brown cere (depending on hormonal changes). Budgies don’t need baths often but love to bathe on their own. You can offer a shallow dish of water or mist them lightly. It’s also wonderful that the bird is eating and drinking - that’s a good sign of health! Feel free to reach out if you need help with anything else!
This is wonderful I have two yellow green parakeets and they just had a baby let me know I love your video I would also love to know how are you got your nesting box I love love it
Hi I just got my baby budgie, the father albino with red eyes and mother is lutino with red eyes. Is there a way I could tell the gender of my baby budgie? The baby is not lutino for sure. Baby has white feathers and black/grey wings.. please help
Hello great video I can’t get to the vet for my bird because of Covid. She hasn’t been chirping since December 24 she has no other symptoms. I got her liquid iodine drops in her water. I’ve been giving her Harrison food, egg foods 😮and menu care complex. She eats it well. Do you have any suggestions
Thx for your videos , l adore my 2 make parakeets who play and chirp all day with each other . Fly around the house , but will not come to me at all. My fault because I didn’t train from the beginning.
Albina healed beautifully, her beak and face look fantastic now. You did a great job helping her :)

Lovely 💛 how are these babies now?
Do you hand feed(co-parent) the chicks to get them hand tame or just handle them?
Lovely!

Maybe she is lonely or doesn't have much toys or is bored of them, sad, depressed because of something.
@@subhanjabbar9323 she’s ok it was because she was molting at the time. She has a sister and lots of toys
@@birdsmariaandsunshinetv9899 oh alright, that's kind of embarrassing for me 😅
@@subhanjabbar9323 don’t worry you were just helping me out thank you
