I really don't understand how Andrew Scott attractiveness works. Sometimes he looks, " oh, he is nice guy nothing especial." And sometimes he looks like the sexiest man alive and it really confuses me but Im ok with that.

But tbh given that this show is written by PWB it doesn't seem much like a male fantasy. I think it was supposed to signify that since fleabag was finally emotionally vulnerable with him, both of them decided to let go of control in some way to engage in a sexual act that also involved EMOTIONAL connection (which was probably also a first for fleabag)

I hear you but you are forgetting the timeless Thorn Birds and Richard Chamberlain as Cardinal Ralph De Bricassart who was a mess as a character but maybe the hottest mess on tv history , and in the book the portrayal of that character was even more heartbreaking and unforgettable. But the hot priest in Fleabag sure is amazing.

Andrew Scott is freaking brilliant. Brilliant. Every moment is layered with the subtlest of human nuances. I full on get physically flustered when he is out of breath, and repeats, “I don’t know, I don’t know... I don’t know what this feeling is.” His voice and his breath work makes me WEAK.

He wanted to be her but at the same time he wanted to be with the people, to serve them and spread the word. So he chose to remain a priest instead of giving it up to be with Fleabag, who I think really fell in love for the first time in her life. I mean really love and trust a man.😊

Sıla Öz I always thought that line was sad too but now I realize I misinterpreted it. He didn’t mean necessarily that she would stop loving him or she would get over him. He meant that the pain of it would pass eventually and she would just feel fondly about their time together.

When you grew up in a parish with an Irish priest who gave a homily about how he was in love with a woman when he was younger and had to choose between his vows and her, this is still awesome, but headache-inducing.
That's so incredibly sad. I wish we lived in a world where he could have had both. I do believe that Pope Francis doesn't seem to mind the idea of a married priest too much, but I think the other high-ranking members scared him off from actually doing anything about his beliefs on the subject.
@@anniescott7479 it really is tragic. He decided on his vows, but there was a big mess when it came out. The bishop of our diocese asked him to transfer to this one from the one he’d been in a state away. It let him stay a priest-but it must have been awful.

So is P.W.B. some kind of expert at smashing that 4th wall? Because I've seen a few pieces of media with 4th wall breaks (High Fidelity comes to mind, both the movie and the recent show adaptation), and I don't know if it ever was this well done. I mean, the way she goes from looking straight at the viewer and back to normal conversation is next level.

This relationship seriously helped me get over my break up in ways I didn’t understand. But it felt so wholesome. Seriously. It makes no sense but it changed my life.
This sent me on an emotional roller coaster! It had me short of breath, and then in tears...and then I sat here, in my chair, completely wrecked...and then a few minutes later, I watched it again. Their chemistry in this show was *literally* absolutely breathtaking.
I revisit this video every few weeks so that I never forget about how great a character the priest was.
This Story between them is the best love story that was written for decades. The mixture of the physical attraction, the shared humor and subtile interest (that he even shares the breaking of the 4th wall with her) shows perfectly the ingrediences of love. 💚
My favorite part of this is how the priest responds to Fleabag's question "are you a real priest?" The way he says "yeah" sounds like he's forgotten whether he's a real priest, or maybe for a second he feels like he isn't a real priest and doesn't want Fleabag to blow his cover. It's so intimate and amazing.

Finished watching Fleabag last night and OH MY GOD the second season is literally flawless! Season 1 was very good of course but season 2 is perfect! So well written, acted, directed everything and I mean everything is so well made. Their chemistry is amazing and every time they talked I had a huge smile on my face… ❤️💔

I know I'm late to the party but I watched Fleabag in two days and I really don't know what to do with myself now. I have truely never ever audibly gasped at my television but when he said 'kneel' and pulled the curtains back I was flabbergasted and thought I was going to erupt into flames. This show seriously is something else!
Andrew Scott is an amazing actor. Great writing from Phoebe. It’s an excellent series.
