Very beautiful stone! You did a great job putting a polish on it to show the lines. Hope that J is recovering from the injury, recovering is the worst thing sometimes when you have to be good.
That is a very cool agate! I have found many blue agates along the Coos and Curry County (Oregon) coastlines and rivers over the years, but never one like this special agate which you are giving away! Congratulations on your 1,000 Subscribers! Good to see you posting again! I Hope J is recovering nicely!
Thank You very much for the card. Jay thought it was very sweet. He's got a long way to go yet. He's been back in the hospital for a clot from the surgery, and we have more tests and results to hear later this week. He's keeping in good spirits though.
@@DavidBriggsAdventures Oh, it sounds like you've been dealing with a lot. I'm sorry to hear that Jay is back in the hospital. I hope he can get back home and feeling better very soon. I'll continue my prayers for both of you. 🙏❤
Wow, isn't that just a glowing beauty. I have found a few small agates but never anything that large or beautiful. Very envious to the winner. Hoping to find something similar one day. Cheers.
That is an awesome, beautiful agate & I would love to win it! I subscribe because I like rocks, I can't do it anymore, but I sure enjoy watching you & the rocking community. Hope you healed from your injury! Thank you, David! 😁 ♥️🇨🇦♥️
That is a beauty ; I find beach agates in East of Scotland ; most of the matrix is gone . I try to film them with a light behind them but the best times are when I use my magnifying glass but the film that I take never does them justice.
That is an exceptional agate. I have a couple of pure Blue LSA's, but here they don't get that big and stay pure Blue. My biggest is 2oz., and only 1 Emerald green; it's a 4-5oz. Fragmented Membrane. Super rare solid color.
You were probably a good guitar player at that. I have had a desire to play and have made a few good runs at it but only turned out to be fair in my ability. A frustrated guitar player I would say. However through it all the experience has made me advanced in my appreciation of the music so there is that. So sorry to hear you no longer play. But kudos you are still an artist with a creative outlet your adventures, specimen discoveries and polishing demonstrations are much appreciated. Your style of dialogue and added commentary are informative and enjoyable almost therapeutic in a Bob Ross sort of way. I hope your channel continues to grow. It is one of my favorites.
W0W, you are Nice! "Holley" Blue Agate must be Packed with Glory and Rubs it's Niceness onto others. : } well . . it's true. lol *It's a Beauty!* I've found small stones that light shines thru areas, but i'm always looking for Critter stuck inside. guess not, huh?
It would be pretty darn rare to find something embedded in an agate due to the heat involved during creation. I've learned to never say never. People said blue is an impossible color anywhere but Africa and Ellensburgh as well. I lean toward calling it Holley Blue because of the shades of blue present. To date, this is he rarest stone I have ever found.
Can you do a video sometime showing us your polishing process? Hand polishing using your Dremel or other tools? I would really appreciate that, you do a great job🤎
That's the plan for this Spring and Summer in addition to the regular trips. It's a pretty time consuming process the way I like to work. I like to shave away stone in fine layers. The next stone is likely to be the giant Carnelian. That one is bound for a special purpose.
Thank you. We polish these stones freehand with a rotary hand piece. We then just give them away to our awesome subscribers. This is probably the most valuable stone we've given away to date. We feel this is the best way to share the discoveries from our adventures with our viewers.
This is getting exciting. I'm so glad I opened this contest up to people from all over. It's fun to imagine who in the world is going to win, or where in the world it's going. Good luck! Everyone who subscribes has an equal chance of winning. Did I mention this is fun ;)
I've never seen anything like that. When it was dirty I thought I saw blue but wasn't sure. My wife too thought she saw blue. Wow. Do I understand you polished by hand only, no tumble? If so what attachments do you use? I'm still learning and enjoy hand polishing besides tumbling.
Very nice finds ...

That's a VERY BEAUTIFUL agate! You did a good job of getting all of that rind off, which added to the beauty of the rock.
Thank you so much 😀
Amazing! Hope all is well.
That is a beautiful agate. Keep up the great videos and God bless you and your family.
Thanks, you too!
David I always enjoy the guitar music in your videos. It is so well chosen It makes me think you may be a guitar player yourself.
I used to. I had an accident years ago that limited my hand dexterity. Using my hand piece on my dremel is about the limit of my ability these days.

I said I would spend an extra $30 to send it elsewhere in the world. Almost ALL of Europe is eligible. So share this with everyone.👍

All hand polish. Used only diamond wheels and buffing wheels.
