Badassery, Sir Ken! This entire video is! From your cool t-shirt, excellent Einstein quote, right on through to your demonstration of Back in Black! Great stuff man! To teach, also means "to form within, & draw forth," which you do with passion & excellence, my friend! Let it rock!🌹💜🌍
Hi, great teacher! I am Argentine (and I am not a soccer fan) I loved the anecdote about fanaticism in my country and how that battle of throwing things surprised you! Hahaha! You are a genius, you speak very fast, but it is exciting to listen to you! A big hug from Argentina!
New to your channel. I've had no interest in singing but I love watching your videos. You have a natural way of making all this extremely interesting to me. Awesome.
Wow! Thanks for doing this video. I'm an Uber driver and I love doing rideshare karaoke in my car with my passengers. ACDC is one of my favorite playlist. I learned a lol from this video
Wish You Tube wouldn't keep taking those videos down, especially the once of AC/DC... Your demonstrations are so amazing, as well and easy to understand. The only way to teach definitely... Gabby is still rocking. I love her version of Back in Black.... Katie is great as well. I like both frontman's of AC/DC.. It's up to the listener and the particular song...
Great, as always! Oooh, Ken... Di-man has a new video... and there is some distorsion... will you check? But I warn you - it's a heavy one. But it would be nice to hear you react to this...
My vocal cords have been... THUNDERSTRUCK. I'm never doing this again, lol. Not until I get better at singing anyway, I'm probably missing something important rn.
Estaba por decir qué tipo groso que sos. Pero luego escucho que viviste acá por un momento! No, me muero! Gracias por ser tan didáctico, amo tus videos. Saludos desde Buenos Aires!
Great job as always Ken! I'm no singer, although I did take lessons for a little while and like to belt some tunes out. I've never gotten very far when AC/DC came on and will take your comments to heart. Perhaps one day I'll get there with them. My teenage years (80s) were absolutely loaded with AC/DC and they have so many albums I love throughout the years. That said, there's always been something about High Voltage that stands above the rest for me. Top of my head guess, every song is killer, so much great rock and roll, but also bad ass blues in full force. Top 10 band of all time for me, for sure.
i love what you do, and how you break it down to understand it can be done. Im interested in learning more. I have the head voice to sing, but my pitch could be way better, and how to breathe properly so i dont get tired or winded.
Good demo Ken! I heard a woman on one of the "Got Talent" shows and she sang Highway To Hell full voice in a nondestructive way yet it was still true to the song. It was not forced but still maintained the power. I'm changing my view on the genre.
I've asked this a couple times over the years so i'm afraid it's not a popular or good request but i would love to see you talk about Eric Adams from Manowar. I'm so curious what you think of his singing.
Would be good to know more about head vs falsetto. I think of lots of this as falsetto. Am I missing something? Over say , A or Bb it's gotta be a falsetto
I wish there was someone who would teach accompaniment piano on youtube like you do with the voice lessons. If you know of anyone who could do that would you encourage them to make a videos and an accompaniment piano course. It is driving me crazy to get the accompaniments together for songs that I want to sing.
my problem, it's precisely this transition, when I enter a "mode" I go straight into it, and I don't usually change, of course I can sometimes, but the correct training, I don't know how to do it.
As a professionell metal singer i can say that Ken is the only coach that really shows he can sing. All others i found just analyze it and talk about it. it do not sound like the original all the time but i think thats not the intention, it gives you the tools to sound the way you want to. I'm not beeing payed, not a fan or so it's my opinion. I'm German so maybe my english is not the best (and as well i have a drink right now) 😜 .
I have band but we dont play Ac/dc song but I Like to sing some karaoke song like... Shoot to thrill and Whole lotta rosie... Thats fitt my voice... AcDc is difficult to sing .....But Thank u For you videos.....
Out of all the videos you’ve done on musical artist and singers…. You should do a video on what makes this singer great for The iconic Meat Loaf. He’s phenomenal one of my favorite singers of all time .
Great video Dear as usual! IMO, Scott was naturally gifted. However Im sure he would have lost his voice due to his improper vocal technic. Johnson sometimes sounds weird but he's still phenomenal
You will sing like yourself and you can learn the styles you wish to emulate. That's what all the covers on my channel do: we sound like ourselves and incorporate the flavor of artists we enjoy into the song. It's all a part of what I teach in my course.
Please Ken. Can you talk about the 1970s original Kansas singers: Steve Walsh & Robby Steinhardt. Both great singers whose voices blended beautifully. Thanks from a WHEATHEAD!
I have always wondered how Brian doesn’t blow his vocal chords out. He looks in pain while singing (of course Springsteen looks like he is taking a rough dump). Brian sang differently in Geordie. It was often in a lower register. And more chest.
Hey Ken, i live in brasil, i like you presentation, please understand that i im brasil, but i play guitar along few year and i sing musics from my country every well (i think), i have fell, help me to improve
Hey Ken love your channel this is a request on a singer named Steve Lee from the group Gotthard he passed away 2010 this guy had such a soulful voice please check him out. Thanks for all your awesome vids.
what I found really unusual is that screaming Vocals like Brian Johnson have become associated with Rock and Roll and not Heavy Metal. It's just strange that so many Metal bands sing in ordinary chest Voice . Dan Mc Cafferty , Robert Plant and Ian Gillan originated that style . Mainly Dan Mc Cafferty
I always used to think that this guy was forcing his voice in such an unnatural way, that I always had the idea that cannot be good for your voice, and this before I knew anything about singing. Personally I was never into rock, back in the day I was all into pop in the 80s and 90s, with the exception for Bon Jovi, always liked him. Interestingly I've grown to like some 80s rock, not all, some. But I draw the line at rock, heavy metal is really not my cup of tea. But I have to say that I found the tribute concert to Taylor Hawkins interesting. I've seen a couple of videos of it. Interesting was that this guy Justin Hawkins sang a number of songs, like the ones from van Halen. I honestly had no idea who Justin Hawkins was until I saw him once on the Masked Singer UK, where he was singing everything but rock. 😄 I had no idea he was so famous that he was asked to sing at the Taylor Hawkins tribute concert with all these famous artists. Do you know him Ken? Have you heard the concert?
Bon Scott era for me-especially Powerage
Yeah!!!
Same. Powerage is my fav acdc album. Gritty sleazy distorted Bliss. BUT I love Brian too.
I wanna see an exposé on Ken's wardrobe. He always has the best T-shirts!
I don’t even sing (I play piano and bass) but I love your videos. They help me understand different aspects of music. Rock on!
One of my favourite singers, Bon Scott. More mellow overall, Brian is more intense
Such a unique hard rock tone
4:51 Damn, I've never thought about that. Rob Halford did it in head voice but YOU can do it in chest voice! You're the real deal, Ken!
New to your channel. I've had no interest in singing but I love watching your videos. You have a natural way of making all this extremely interesting to me. Awesome.
As a football fan, I loved the story of your time at that game! Great video and talent you have 🍻
You and your students sound amazing, great job Ken!
Thanks so much!
Been waiting for this one! Thank you Ken 🤙
Brian Johnson is one of the few frontman that can still hit all his notes live on stage.
Lucky you! I'm still struggle to hit his lowest notes :-(
Whay notes . gravel voice lol
He actually sings a half step down now, but hey, he was 71 years old last time he sang. Still impressive.
Saw him yesterday. Killed it. So great!
I'm a huge ACDC fan but Brian johnson should have quit after Razors Edge. His voice is embarrassingly bad after that album.
Man I love learning about these guys, and Riverplate really was an amazing concert. Amazing work!
Man that was great. Gabby was amazing at the end too. Cool Argentina story
Invaluable info. Thanks for breaking this down Ken
Wow! Thanks for doing this video. I'm an Uber driver and I love doing rideshare karaoke in my car with my passengers. ACDC is one of my favorite playlist. I learned a lol from this video

Hey Ken! I miss Katie! She is so awesome. Man can she sing. You taught her well Ken.😎
She's great!
@@kentamplin YES she is!😎
Thanks for showing your technique. You have a great voice.
Bon Scott Highway to hell album. Legendary rock tunes
Great demonstrations Ken awesome love a.c. Dc
Thanks 👍
Your welcome 👍
👍💪Thank you Ken!!
You nailed it again. Your the real deal Ken!
Great vídeo ! Thx for share!!!
Great, as always! Oooh, Ken... Di-man has a new video... and there is some distorsion... will you check? But I warn you - it's a heavy one. But it would be nice to hear you react to this...
Love the way you explain AND show how it´s done.
Dear Ken, Amazing Technique! Thank you for your generosity! You Rock! 🙂
My vocal cords have been... THUNDERSTRUCK. I'm never doing this again, lol.

This is the best Whole lot of Rosie performance I've ever seen
Great job! Love AC/DC.
Much love brother.
Nice shirt 👕!!!!!!

Love this channel !
Can you do a How to Sing Like Jay Buchanan from Rival Sons? That guy sounds like he pulls chest voice into almost EVERYTHING.
Good demo Ken! I heard a woman on one of the "Got Talent" shows and she sang Highway To Hell full voice in a nondestructive way yet it was still true to the song. It was not forced but still maintained the power. I'm changing my view on the genre.
You nailed it!❤
Excellent job!!!!!!
If I knew that singing in head voice / falsetto was a technique these guys used I would have been using it for years.
💯 nailed it. 🙌 🙌 👏 👏 🔥 🔥
Real great learning stuff 🤘
a thousand thanx
I can hum a tune just like him, I go out Karaoking and TNT is one of my main songs. Have a great day
I karaoke TNT also.
How about the vocalist from The Outfield..Thanks
Awesome 👍
Hi Ken, Would love to sign up for in person lessons, I studied singing for a year with Chelsea Chris in Wolcott CT a few years ago.
amazing t-shirt master ken
I've asked this a couple times over the years so i'm afraid it's not a popular or good request but i would love to see you talk about Eric Adams from Manowar. I'm so curious what you think of his singing.

14:54 You sounds a lot like Phil X on that part lol.
my problem, it's precisely this transition, when I enter a "mode" I go straight into it, and I don't usually change, of course I can sometimes, but the correct training, I don't know how to do it.
you are the greatest 👍🏻

Should do a Ken Tamplin review of Georgie. Brian sounded great.
Bon Scott for me, even both are great to me
Hey Ken, can you perhaps one day do a video on Kevin Dubrow voice?
Ken great video again, can we do something on Billy Idol now? Thanks!
Out of all the videos you’ve done on musical artist and singers…. You should do a video on what makes this singer great for The iconic Meat Loaf. He’s phenomenal one of my favorite singers of all time .
Also mention Brian stuff on Geordie.
Very diverse
You mentioned the transition from one voice back to the other. Is that why Frankie Valli always growled when he was coming back down?
Great video Dear as usual! IMO, Scott was naturally gifted. However Im sure he would have lost his voice due to his improper vocal technic. Johnson sometimes sounds weird but he's still phenomenal
Never sang a line in my life. Wife loves when I sing but IDK JACK. GONNA SUB AND LEARN SOME.
coach, what is the first step to become a rocker, please guide
Depends on what you want. If you want to watch; buy a ticket. If you want to be an artist; develop your craft.
Did you need painkiller after singing painkiller in chest voice?
Wicked stadium story
I imagine gargling with Drano would help.
Bon Scott the best ever.
🤩
How do you know who to choose a vocal coach, I choose you and I think some of these vocal coaches should come and learn from you!
Can the coach demonstrate the concepts themselves? Can they show students that can sing? The proof is in the singing.
Will this advice help me sing like Jesse James from Jackyl also? I feel like the have very similar voices in many ways
You will sing like yourself and you can learn the styles you wish to emulate. That's what all the covers on my channel do: we sound like ourselves and incorporate the flavor of artists we enjoy into the song. It's all a part of what I teach in my course.
Would it be possible for a vocalist after adequat training, to sing through 45 minutes like Brian Johnson ?
Give me Brian Johnson any day. Singing and band.
Uh oh Ken! I think Gabriella outdid you there!!
Please Ken. Can you talk about the 1970s original Kansas singers: Steve Walsh & Robby Steinhardt. Both great singers whose voices blended beautifully.
Thanks from a WHEATHEAD!

Damn! If I try to sing like Brian Johnson I'll be aphonic for a whole week 😵😵
Hey Ken, i live in brasil, i like you presentation, please understand that i im brasil, but i play guitar along few year and i sing musics from my country every well (i think), i have fell, help me to improve
Request: How to sing like Edgar Winter 👍
Check out Frank Sinatra in Can I Steal A Little Love?
Very good video Ken. I would imagine you'd want to avoid the rasp
Great Video...Do you think Brian's voice is washed up? It really sounds like his vocals have taken a beating over the years..
The proof is in the singing...
@@kentamplin Where have I heard that before...lol
Matt smith from theocracy
please make a episode how to sing like Alice Cooper
Bon Scott, Powerage n Highway to Hell
Wow, impressive! Johnson can't even sing Johnson anymore!
⚡️
Hi there gorgeous!!!😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
I’d love you to feature up and coming star Angelina Jordan on an episode 🙏
I live this band!!! Bon Scott or Brian Johnson??? Angus and Malcolm Young!!! 😁😁😁👍👍👍. Thanks and rock on.

Brian’s singing on Black Ice in 2008 was way better because he stopped getting stuck in head voice.

I haven't watched the concert yet. Justin has been around for quite awhile. He was/is with The Darkness.
its funny that einstein said that, cause his theory was impossible to show when he invented it 😂
Only one ACDC ...Bon Scott
