What makes this 10 times more interesting is that India was allied with north Vietnam during and after the Vietnam war, though they did not send combatants to fight in the war
@@alakazam9636 I got this information from a paper put out by the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies about Vietnam’s foreign relation policies during the Vietnam war
That’s not really true. India followed a strict policy of neutrality during the Cold War, laid out by Jawaharlal Nehru during his long Prime Ministership. In fact, he was the one who coined the term “Third World”, which originally meant not a poor country, but one not aligned with either the capitalist (First) or communist (Second) worlds. The Indian military even bought arms from both sides, with such oddities as Soviet-made MiG-21s and Su-7s serving right alongside British-made Harriers and Jaguars on Indian airfields.
The world really needs more sitar/Indian music. It's so beautiful! Edit: Probably a cringey thing thing to say considering this is a Rolling Stones cover, but it's true.
@@sitarrock hi, I am also a sitar player and i have noticed you only focus on upstrokes and only play the dowstrokes when its 2 notes at pnce. If you start focusing on the dowmstrokes as well it give a lot of charecter to your playing. Anyways love your work.
@@sitarrock You're very welcome, I also wonder if there's a way to make the instrument sound a little more angry and aggressive without detracting from its own uniqueness in sound. Like give more of an oomph as if the instrument were bearing it's fangs without turning away from what makes it as we know it. I want to discover if a piece of music for a sitar exists in which the purpose is to let it all out in that direction like maybe a dignified anger
@@sitarrock hi thanks for your reply, no looking for the Indian sitar notes for a few of the songs you play so I can try to learn them in my sitar , master or puppets is the one I want to learn and you play it fantastic . Would pay for the sitar notes if you have them written down Thanks
Instant like. And I don't like background noise. I'm a Solo lover. I want to hear your talent not a speaker or dubbed over audio. Why are true awesome solos hard to find? Because that kind of talent speaks for itself.

Wow. I didn’t know about that.
No they weren’t. This is a lie
