      The last farmer I worked for was like that we got a lot of sh.t done it's a totally different mindset I was out to prove to 3 JD combines that I could keep the beans away from them I did got a big thank you from the boss man at the end of the day I was just doing my job looking back I can think of 4 words Balls to the Wall all day Always remember farming feels good 😁 Flintstone

      They don’t feel as bad when it’s your own crop coming off. I can see why others wouldn’t want to work that long, though.

    I worked for a farmer that your Dad reminds me of , at the end of the first day he asked me what I owed him ? "that's the way it was done back then 40 years ago " and I said whatever you decide , and he handed me $3 for a whole day , I told him just keep it I think being with you today was more education than one person should ever have to take !

      Haha my dad is quite the character some days. One thing is certain: he is a workhorse. He gets the work done, which I can respect.

    That's why we don't do notill anymore. We always said tillage paid off getting crop up better. We're you cutting near the Lerna road area the shortcut to Lakeland looked familiar to me from my days going there in 01 to 03. Wasn't sure took it last year for first time in a long time going to Ford place was shocked at the new houses

      We were about a 1/2 mile to the southwest of LakeLand college. Right along I-57!

      @@allenwalters9068 yes I am familiar with those areas. Which elevator are your referring too? There is a big one in Neoga, one east of mattoon directly next to the interstate, and another big one north of mattoon. There is a lot of commercial storage around here!

      @@aTrippyFarmer the big one now along i57, I live just north of the lake, there is a restaurant on the east side of the lake first place you see looking north is ours
