I'm in the planning stage for a build. I've watched about 20 videos and made notes of good ideas. Then I found your previous video for your first system. I can pretty much toss my list from the other videos in the trash. This video is actually closer to my design which will be specific only to my vehicle. As someone who has the tools and skills to make my own, I've got to say that people can't go wrong with the system you sell. It's beautifully thought out and well made. The price is very reasonable. Here's a marketing idea. Pick a charity you support and request donations to that charity. Then people like me who appreciate what we learned from your video can show our appreciation by making a donation. Having a charitable component to your marketing plan will increase sales. You can also do something with your price points to make donations directly off of your sales. While this marketing strategy isn't for everyone, it does increase sales. If I were to do it, I'd pick a different outdoor charity yearly. This way you can shed light on a variety of charities over the years and report total donations each year. Those charities will also shed some light on your company When you make a product this good, structuring your company to also do some good in the world is the way to go imo. It appeals especially to gens Y and Z, but even older people like me aren't hard to reach. It makes us feel younger. 😅
Hi there and thank you for your videos. I have an 2011 Chevrolet cruse 1.6 and won’t to know if you can build one for me and if so how much thank you kind regards Paul.
Hi. I love the bed platform u made. I have viewed a few dozen videos, but this is so far the best one. I own a Rav4 model 1996. I have tried many options but not satisfied till now. I think it is not possible to buy and import to Pakistan Could u be kind enough to share the construction details in my inbox. Once again a lot of congratulations for designing a very practical setup. Wishing you all the success in your future ventures.
No problems with moisture at all! I (Nathan) have spent the last 90 days camping on this platform and have detected no signs of moisture being an issue.
Where are they shipped from? I have a 2021 Mazda CX 5 I am pretty sure this will work as it is a popular vehicle. If you order the mattress does it also ship free?
So is this new version going to replace the older version, or will both versions be available? I'm glad I have the other version, and am enjoying it well. This version looks interesting, but I would've taken a hard pass because it doesn't have the same storage flexibility. All storage slides out like drawers (even on the hinged top part) with the older version, and the under support structure that exists with this version limits what can be stored underneath (no large items bigger than the compartments) would not work well for my needs to require more flexible storage space. I also worry about the interlocking feature because, while probably more stable, it would also be prone to swelling in humidity
Glad to hear you're enjoying your Sleeping Platform Val! With this new design we added the walls to keep gear from moving around while it's stored. Think of the storage space as "compartmentalized." As for the fit of the wooden joints - they're machined to tolerances that allow for changes in humidity.
@CarToCamp still glad I have the other one, I wouldn't be able to use this one at all with my vehicle, compartmentalized is an impractical use of space in some vehicles, especially if you can't get to the upper storage area without moving the bed to get to the hinged bit. Whatever is under that portion can't be slid out from under. It also doesn't let you store anything long because you are bound by the supports being in the way. You lose a LOT of storage space and flexibility of what can be stored with this design.
@@cartocamp I'm in the UK and very interested in this platform. As you don't ship outside of North America, maybe you could sell the plans to those of us in other countries? l'd love the plans for a Honda Jazz.
Very cool, I just wish there was a half width option. I’d be a solo traveler and could definitely use the other half of my space for other uses.

We do offer a half width option that would be prefect for you!

Hello, do you ship to Bulgaria?
Cool product. Looking into buying one. What is the weight capacity?
The weight capacity on this Sleeping Platform is 500lbs combined weight, or 250 lbs/person.
This is awesome! Do you have a problem with moisture? I've seen bed platforms with holes so air can circulate more.
