Right to the point, I like that. I work in maintenance for the local school district, I'm the plumber. However, they had us all take a class to fix these and crash bars about 3 years ago, haven't worked on one since... until today.. Thank you!
Love it... After a few attempts at calling my property management, opening maintenance ticket that get closed with "we fixed the problem" (Infuriating, as they clearly have not) I resorted to youtube. It did not disappoint and I was able to fix my building front door on my own.
Excellent video, simply explained, saved me from my banging doors, i also passed on your expertise to neighbours and they were delighted, Thank you so much👍
Man this helped me out big time at my job. Our front door kept slamming hard right at the end of its cycle. Found the latch nob like you pointed out, and turned it slightly over. Worked like a charm. Door closes perfect now. Thank you!
Brocheezmo!!! You just made my millennium!! This door at my job slams so hard it rattles my bones. I deal with hot reactor samples and it slams so hard that I have splashed the sample because it scared the mess outta me. I am going to go adjust it right now. You are straight up pimpin this information swag brother.
Fantastic advice, and explanation, I am awakened every morning, a terrible slamming door Which is just below my Appt. Where I sleep , I can’t imagine for any people who work a night shift ! Please adjust this is really a menace ,Sleep we now know ,is so important to long term Health , please take care of your Health, physical and Mental , Peace to all.
Thanks for this. My apartment block has a hydraulic gate as the pedestrian entrance so of course about 3 people actually close it themselves. The rest let it slam home all the time, rocking the front half of the building. Think I'll not wait for the maintenance guy this time.
Was that twice that you adjusted the latching speed? At the end of the video, it was a lot softer than when you were outside of the building that few seconds before.
Thank you for this video. My roommate is in an abusive relationship and he and his chick are always wasted and slamming all the doors around. Now at least they can't slam the front entrance door cuz I got that L(last 10%) hydraulic set tighter than a pickle jar.
If the door closer becomes disconnected in the middle, should the door still be lined up perfectly in the frame? There’s a door at a local business that was recently replaced. The closer became disconnected in the middle, but the door also didn’t line up properly when attempting to manually close it.
“Closure” is what you seek when your girlfriend breaks up with you suddenly and moves back to Chicago without you. .. … Which is NOT the same thing as a door “closer.”

Good Job Man! Thanks for taking the time; it really helped to learn quickly how these work and how to adjust them.
You, sir, just quietened our Bible Study door, and gained a sub. THANK YOU !!! Like your voice and your content and it's presentation.

This is exactly what I needed to know!
Thank you!
Thank you man for explaining in detail
Does the door need to be open when adjusting, because I adjusted both screws Full Tilt with the door closed and it did nothing

How about if you want to adjust it because its hard to open.

How do you adjust this type? Allen wrench holes blocked out
What tool do you need to make the adjustments for the door closer
1/8 lnkeys
1/8” Allen wrench key
Any idea what causes these things to squeak so much when closing? Are they low on oil or something? TY
Thanks for the tip!
fantastic video thank you!!
I need the magnetic latch. Where to find one just like yours?!?!
That is called a “maglock.” You can find them with a quick Google search
awesome video... save us a handyman visit!
Where else?
How do you adjust the opening pressure? Ours blows open in the wind
Opposite end of the 2 screws shown. Should be a screw to increase that pressure
I’ll try that
magic.
Thanks boss
It’s not a door closure!
It’s a door closer.
Totally neglected the back check adjustment.

How about me coming back to "check" how to adjust the door again just so i can see him. OI VAY
You forgot spring tension. Tell everyone how to decrease the amount of force needed to push the door open.
