It's that time again..Chris and Rob time!!!...dinner on lap, kids locked in cupboard and misses working at king cross so peace and quite.keep up the good work fellas
I love your videos!!!! But PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE put Part Numbers, (P1/P2/P3 etc.) on all of the multi episode videos. It is not always obvious if a video is part of a series or if I'm watching from the middle of a 4 or 5 parter. This would make watching them in order soooo much easier.... Many thanks in advance.....
Rob, I grew up in Ramsgate in the sixties, not far from where Copart Sandwich is now. In those days it was the main U.K. storage and distribution yard for the German Volkswagen company. The cars used to roll off the ships at Ramsgate harbour and straight on to their own railway line to take them up to the Sandwich facility.. Thousands and thousands of brand new Volkswagens! (You are both too young to remember that but it was a very big employer back then). SR is still the best rebuild channel on UA-cam in my opinion! 🙏😊👍🇬🇧
It's always the little bits than can hold you up but it's coming together really well looks absolutely fantastic can't wait to see the final result Chris & Rob 👍👍👍
Once again, Rob, you showed your skills at changing over the dash and made it look so easy, though I do not think my "mature body" could do the bending about to get underneith!! Very interesting and enjoyable. Cheers from Lincolnshire.
While most of us struggle changing a headlight bulb, Rob removes and bangs in a complete dash and airbags kit in record time and 28° heat! Nice tidy work Rob, well done lad 👏
Just found your channel. Very helpful pointing out the main mounting points on the dash. I’ve got to take one out of an A1 & replace into a damaged S1 & been putting it off for months.
You must pinch yourself 1/4 of a million subscribers, who would think it. You regularly get enough views that would get you in the top 20 viewed programs on any UK terrestrial channel. Well done boys
After watching your vids about trim removal and fitting and they really good vids, i can now put all the trim back in my car, I have too as its an Alfa .The centre console trim decided to to come off tonight on the way home for no good reason. I now know how to fix it ,Thanks guys.
Hi from durham guys👋👍 rob great job on dash like 👌I have a changed a few dashes in my time and I wish they where all like this 1👍 great stuff thanks for your time and be safe see you soon👍👋
Evening guys. Last day of our holiday so nothing better than a salvage rebuild video 😄 It’s a long drive home from southern Spain 🇪🇸 to Barton just north of Preston so no Friday video until Sunday 😫 Cheers Stevie
Good video i like the before and after of your video they're very entertaining and educational as well can't wait for the next one have a great day you and Chris
Lovely Work on the Audi A1 Rob. You fit have airbag kit and the drivers airbag squib. You are going right through the car getting all the jobs done. your getting there. Keep up the good work Rob see you on Friday.
Just in the process of buying a Ecoboost on a '19 plate. Carvertical showed a outstanding financial payment. I'll check it before buying from Ford Uk. Thanks guys..
It's great that the dash came out without having to wrestle it away. Pity they aren't all like that, given the incorporated airbags on them. Aside from that, very efficient work Rob.
The little audi gets new airbags !! Fantastic little car !! Yet again another fantastic video, so good at this game now !! It's gotta be said salvage rebuilds do it properly!! Well done guys, see you in the next one !!!
Thanks guys. just to say carVertical saved my step daughter from being lumbered with her first car being sold with plenty of outstanding finance today!! close call!!! thanks guys! on it!!! that didn't show on the check she done!! thanks guys!!!
I hate how modern cars need a new dash when the airbag goes off. My old MGF had a hinged flap so you only needed to replace the airbag unit. Great vid as always guys.
Coming along nicely chaps 👍🏻 can't believe it's just 5 main screws to undo that dash but at least it's doable for anyone who needs to replace one. You guys definitely give confidence to everyone who wants to have a go at doing jobs on their car but aren't confident 🙂
Good evening Rob and Chris. Another great video and very interesting. You did well Rob in the heat. Looking forward to Friday. Video might be out at five to five. (Older viewers will understand!) Thank you for taking the time to upload another video. Ged
Brilliant yet again, as previous comment Matt Armstrong had terrible issues with his Aston Martin dash, love to see you guys do one as well, the experts 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Gosh there is skill and experience required for that - how you could possibly remember where all the screws nuts and bolts of varying sizes go amaze me - keep up the very entertaining videos lads
Patience of a saint doing all that. Great video watching it all coming together. I take it when you guys are reassembling a car like this that you don't end up soiling any fabric interior trim part with any dirt picked up on your hands ?
You'd think that Manufacturers would make it a Little Easier to Replace Airbags, ie: Replace an Independent Panel with an Inbuilt Airbag and Plug, removing a Complete Dashboard must be a Complete Pain in the Aris.
Some cars are easy, but most are like this. I had an Alfa Romeo 147 and the passenger airbag had a cover, if deployed you just need to replace the airbag and the cover clips.
Cracking video again lads, she’s come a long way since you picked it up Rob, & wasn’t it Chris who bid on it, seem to remember you saying how bad it actually was ?? 👍
Hi rob and Chris the car is coming along nicely with all the parts that you have done well with the car is coming along get ready for sale for a New owner all the best to you both and your family's
It's the amount of content that you are uploading that impresses so much. The Project Binky blokes should take a leaf out of your book. You would have turned that mini around in six weeks! Very enjoyable videos, long may you continue.
When Rob showed Chris the dashboard removed, I'm sure Chris was looking for coins 🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
How else you think he's made his fortune 🤔 🤣
That time again just walked in from work 😁💪

That looks a lot easier than Matt Armstrongs Aston Martin he’s doing atm. And he usually has a few screws and bolts left over 😁.
Haha, I just thought that and then saw your message
We all need spares 🤣
Yes I thought of uncle Matt as soon as I heard dashboard. Great job Rob.
Just thinking the same 🤣
Looks like another one saved from the crusher. Chris and Rob, extremely well done to you both. Superb

Always good content from these lads. Great banter as well. Comments section is always good fun too!
Another excellent vid. Youve set us up for sumthin special on Friday.👍
Is the old dash only a landfill material or does somebody refurbish them?
Seems a bit of waste to throw it away.
I used Carverticle for the purchase of my leftest car. A 59 plate Alfa 159 SW 2ltr JTDM. Very impressed at the detail on the report ❤️
Leftist car? Don't tell me cars can be woke too 🤣
@@pit_stop77 it was supposed to be latest car lol.
It's great that the dash came out without having to wrestle it away. Pity they aren't all like that, given the incorporated airbags on them. Aside from that, very efficient work Rob.

Hello Rob,nice work done on the dashboard of the Audi A1,once you took one out it's pretty straightforward, sort of lol.

Good going Rob, quite a lot of work made to look easy ! Bad luck with the parts.
Patience of a saint doing all that. Great video watching it all coming together. I take it when you guys are reassembling a car like this that you don't end up soiling any fabric interior trim part with any dirt picked up on your hands ?

Thank god for salvagerebuilds sat on A2 for last hour in traffic due to accident between 3 and 4
Did you have any screws left??.. another good video..
Absolutely not 👍
Well done Rob ,
You'd think that Manufacturers would make it a Little Easier to Replace Airbags, ie: Replace an Independent Panel with an Inbuilt Airbag and Plug, removing a Complete Dashboard must be a Complete Pain in the Aris.
Ye seems badly designed to me
Some cars are easy, but most are like this. I had an Alfa Romeo 147 and the passenger airbag had a cover, if deployed you just need to replace the airbag and the cover clips.
Manufacturers design cars to make assembly as cheap as possible. The only owner they are interested in the first one.
Great job on the dash Rob
Cracking video again lads, she’s come a long way since you picked it up Rob, & wasn’t it Chris who bid on it, seem to remember you saying how bad it actually was ?? 👍
Airbag kit swap always makes a good video. Very informative vid. Great work as always :)
