Rob , had a word with ITV your replacing Coronation street Mon ,Wed ,Friday 🤣🤣 Content is so good and you two do make me smile , ratings would go up tenfold Lol . Keep it coming boy's .👍
Loving the vid on the Fords, including the Ka! That car in particular was so ahead of its time - it fits into 2021 as well as it did in 2012!
Bit of sad nostalgia for me, this one. My dad had a 2009 Ka Zetec (from new) in midnight black , (only 23,000 miles on it this year), it was his pride & joy, and was my privilege to clean it for him. Looking forward to seeing this one done.
What can you say when you've watched seems likes many hundreds of your videos guys is simple, don't change a thing and keep them coming.
FYI 14:31 pure copper isn't legal for brake lines in North America, in North America, legal brake lines are a copper nickel alloy. A pure copper brake line tends to crack after a short time in service due to vibration and work hardening of copper.
They're perfectly legal here in the UK 😉👍
Believe it or not it's legal to use copper in UK but why would you given kunifer is only slightly more expensive. Mind you a car will fail its UK MOT if it has headlight washers fitted and they don't work ...it's a mad mad world !!
It’s sold in a roll as brake line I have always use it 👍
@@srukOnce upon a time we all thought the world was flat - and we used to get about using steam power. Cupro nickel brake pipe sold in a roll too - much safer and better product...... gives you piece of mind - Personally I don't think it's worth scrimping on brake jobs but it is legal in the UK at the moment so the choice is yours....
Not sure if anyone else picked up on this but the old SP flaring kit on the bench looked to be SAE "double flare" which is fine for the M10 female connecting to the existing steel line but the flare attaching to the hose on Fords is usually a male M10 and these are not SAE but DIN ISO "bubble" flares so as to properly "seat" in the hose union. Did you have to crank that down hard to get it to seal or were you lucky and it sealed on the double flare??? 🤞
Have never been near one of these Ka's so a revelation that actually it is a 500. Was a fan of the original Ka from years back. Enjoyed seeing the changeover procedure. Thank you.
I don’t know why I’ve got a tv I just keep watching you two .keep up the good work 👍🏻
As well as climate control and chrome door handles the Titanium model also has a sub-woofer under the drivers seat - my daughter loved hers for this feature!
Love this channel fellas the simple format appeals, not dramatic statements or crazy music and editing. Hope you can keep the vids nice and simple in the future love the format
Hi Guy's . Had no idea the Fiat and Ka were identical .And £750 for the quarter panel ! What a rip ! Thanks Rob.
The diversity and down to earth workmanship of this channel in my opinion is second to none!
Hi rob & Chris, that KA will be a nice little motor when it’s finished, your channel and content is better than cracking mate that I religiously watch all your videos I’ve even got my neighbours to watch them and they really enjoy watching them, keep them videos coming 👍
Another great video guys just thinking you keep putting items in the description you should make an amazon store so if people do buy it from your store you get a percentage just a thought 👍👍👍
Terrific video as always guys and can't wait to see how you repair that quarter panel - surely that's a lot of work?! Also, have started watching UA-cam on my shiny new smart TV, but that sadly means I can't comment (watched this one on my laptop), so just be aware of that if your viewing figures keep climbing but number of comments gradually declines. We are watching you on the TV, and your content is way better than a lot of the programmes on the main channels!
Tray back the hilux…. Or a secondhand “ally backs” type 👍🏻 these trucks are worth a fortune as long as they’re working…. And awesome fun. Trust me I have one myself 😁. Keep up the good work fellas… good job with the channel. 😎👍🏻
Rob, I know I have mentioned it before but use a plastic plate of some description between the wheel/tyre and the road/surface then the offending wheel/wheels slip like a hot knife through butter. You can fork out and buy a set of "Slippery Jims" from the AA that they use with a hard area for forcing them under stuck wheels or jack up to place them under non-revolving wheels.
Nice work guys bring back memories of using ezbleed 30+ years ago great tool especially bleeding systems on your own. keep up the excellent content cant wait for your next video.
Great video as always enjoyed the brake bleeding part . Good old mark down down Kent autos . And Chris is right about the hilux if you can't find a bed either change of plan or cut it loose content aside it's a business your running we all understand that . Keep them coming
When you are respectful towards people in the trade and give them good business you always reap what u sew my friend hence those good lads removing the axle in anticipation of your arrival
Hi Rob and Chris, like these KA'S, colour suits it too. Looks like another nice flip, do like the mixture of this more run of the mill car and the barn finds, Hilux etc you have going on, keeps it interesting. Cheers, Alex.
I agree, the mix of different cars and different flavours (pickups, vans, 4x4s, little compacts like this, hatchbacks, salons and SUVs) keeps it interesting
Great video salvage rebuilds, great work Rob and chris, great little car, nothing more satisfying that cleaning a car after you've worked on it, will look amazing when finished 👌😀👍
Missing locking wheelnut keys must be a PITA for many salvage repairers ! Great video and as ever its Kent Auto Salvage who supply many of the parts to get these projects sorted. The brake bleeding was interesting need to do this job on my car so think I'll be getting one of these kits.
Love watching you changing rear quarters and seeing how you achieve the end result. Lovely colour on that Ka.
Rob I agree with Chris sell the hi lux, you got so much going on, will be good spares or repair for someone.
Mondays , Wednesdays and Fridays . We love watching you guys . Interesting ,informative and some humour thrown in for good measure. Please keep it up Rob and Chris .
Nice not to see it not being a 500
Got bored of those ones 🤣🤣🤣I do know it’s difficult finding cars at right price abs there’s probably millions of them about but living tbe content just latley especially with the barn finds you got in loving them would love to see content of Chris little belingo being done 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽love the colour of the KA it’s unusual
Hope you both have had a good weekend and you are staying safe and well
No problems getting it off the truck for Chris 😃 looking forward to seeing you repair this as normal you will do a proper job with your attention to detail!! 👍
Looking forward to the eventual blooper reel Rob, introduced by Chris armed with a clipboard and in the style of Dennis Norden! 🇬🇧😄👍
Are you aware of the passenger under seat storage? Not all of them have it but if you gently lift the front of the seat you might find something in it!
I know this is a long shot for you, but I knew a guy in Portugal who converted metal bedded pickup trucks to wooden beds to comply with strange Portuguese tax rules. (A wooden bedded truck is classified as a farm truck and can legally be fuelled with red diesel and it also attracts tax breaks). Last time I was there, his yard was full of discarded steel beds for just about any pickup truck you can name. Depending on how far you want to go with this, he is almost certain to have what you want. I still have contacts in Portugal so I can find out more if you are interested. To get a bed transported back to the UK would be much cheaper than you might think.
Bonnie little thing should have a nice little touch out of it,, always a good seller right colour, right spec,,job done,
Very tidy little Ka , fantastic content and really looking forward to the next one 👍
Another cracking project always great to get a notification of a new video from easily one of the best channels on UA-cam thanks Rob and Chris for the video look forward to the next one
Nice job guys on the ford ka, I love Ford’s they are so easy to work on, plus lots of cheap bits.
I would give that axle a wire brush and a clean then get some black under seal spray and give it a few coats. It would help to reduce the corrosion.
Great looking little car Rob and a Titanium model to boot 👌🏻 so nicely loaded speck. My grandad 👴 would have said £700 for a rear quarter !!!! 😮, in my day for a shilling you went to cinema, got 4 pints 🍺 and a fish & chip supper 😂😂, yeah inflation what a bummer 👍🏻.
We used to use wheel skids when i was doing recovery, might be an idea to get a pair Rob. think we got them from machine mart, long time ago so might not be right 👍
Hi,
The KA will be a nice little car.
Not sure if you can, but can you show the best way to get a locking wheel nut off if you don’t have the correct tool to fit locking wheel nut.
If you can great, if not due to maybe compromising the security side of things.
Love all the content you guys do, totally hooked.
Cheers Gary
Another nice little car being sorted nicely by you both
Hi Rob, another top video, nice looking KA Titanium,I used to have one like this but the Studio Spec one.you and Chris soon had it back on its wheels.
I like the fact you keep changing up the cars while still keeping a few vehicles one the queue. Would like to see maybe another day or two on the rover classic but I realize it is a project not a car to sell quickly ! 🇨🇦👍
This should be on tv , brilliant channel.
Well Rob and Chris, what a great video on a great looking KA despite the Smack in the Rear. Also great quick repair work to the rear axle. Keep up with the great work boys & I am looking forward to the next episode of the KA.😀👍👍
Quick work on the axle guys, one little query Rob , why didn’t you grab the back bumper off of the white Ka you got the axle off also go back and get the seat lever. Best channel of its genre on UA-cam. Made up for you both on your success with the channel.
We went back for the car bud 👍
Salvage Rebuilds & Kent Auto…a match made in heaven 😍
Nice one. Love to see how you get all these cars back together. You make it look so easy.
Class video again Rob. I have to self isolate on my drive in the caravan and your videos are keeping me entertained Cheers
The Ka has the same running gear as my 2011 Panda 1.2 and its good on juice and goes well, had I not needed 5 doors I might have considered one. I'm with Chris on the HiLux, get it gone as I for one had forgotten that you had it so won't be missed.
Brilliant video, car damage looks worse than I think it actually was, great job, very informative and interesting, till the next one guys 👋🇬🇧
@salvage rebuilds Rob loved your copart walk around there's someone in America that I follow dose that very interesting indeed nice to see you doing a English one. Nice little car you have to restore nice one guys 👍
The damage looks drastic, although I’m sure you two guys will work your magic, and have this car looking like new in no time!!❤️.
I always carry a bottle of washing up liquid to move vehicles with sized wheels, squirt on the floor and washes off when done. No good for dirt or gravel but good on a nice bit of concrete or smooth tarmac.
So we have discovered your kyptronite....brake pipes....so you two are human after all heheh.......another interesting video guys. Have a nice weekend.
Loved the wheel trim skate. Great car for the channel, love this type of salvage, most people run a mile when it needs a rear quarter.
The last car wash was so much nicer to watch
Great video guys always entertaining, again loving it 👍👍👍👍
So far so good when I saw the thumbnail I can't believe how far you got in this first Video. Making it look easy Street 👍
Nice video guys and looking forward to the conclusion.
Chris is right. Cut your losses with the HiLux so you can concentrate on more worthwhile projects.
Have a great weekend. It’s raining here in Lockdown Sydney ☔️
Oh poor bubba 🥺 same colour as mine so can’t wait to see it all done!!
I wish I had my own space to tinker on cars.
Also, if you’re looking for a name for it, I suggest Barney (same as mine)😋
Looking forward to seeing part 2
Sealey do a locking wheel nut remover kit sx299 exactly the same as dynomec around £130 great bit of kit works every time.
those seat handles always break on mk6 fiestas and look very similar and easy to replace handle as long as you dont break the cable plenty of vids on them of there the same
I'm sure it's gone by now , but I'll have that Hilux as is
I'll put a camper body on the back mate 😉
I've got a demountable camper that'll go on and I can get a couple of toolboxes fabricated for each side 😁
Nice video on the kA looking good with the replacement axle looking forward to the quarter panel repair 👌👍
Good little car, should be interesting to see what happens with the repairs. Everything forward of the B pillars okay 👍🏻
Hello Rob and Chris,
A new video just in time for my tea....😀
Looks like about 70 pence there so far..noice..
As ever, thanks guys,
Cordialement,
Top tip for you guys… if you ever have the brake hydraulic system apart, hold the brake pedal down with a bar or piece of wood against the seat. This will stop the loss of fluid 👍
Neat little runner, will come up a treat!
Great video guys - gotta say, I wouldn't take on that KA so I watched this video with interest and how well you dealt with it. Cheers.
Hi Rob and Chris great video and great looking little ka. Least you won't have to regas the air con lol. Can't wait for next exciting episode thanks.
Chris is a very very knowledgeable man. Rob obviously has got a keen eye on what he buys and the finances but Chris, wow, that man is bloody clever. I absolutely love this channel, these boys are definitely 10 steps ahead of all the other channels who are trying to do the same thing!!! Brilliant...🙂👍
Good video rob
Ehhh hilux make check plate flatbed you won’t lose cover in black bed liner 👍 loads ppl looking them
Try looking for the locking nut under the passenger seat base, it lifts up with storage compartment underneath
Great video guys love the little KA's gonna convince my daughter to swap her Seat Ibiza for one or another Fiat 500! Keep up the good work! 👍
Hey Rob I just saw the top mount covers are missing they look rusty common on them. Good job to you and Chris.
You should check front top mount. At my old job, one customer same model KA (but she have Zetec), she want service and I noticed her top mount on front was badly corrision and nearly disconnected from chassis. Worth to check make they are not rusted out?
Cracking video guys. Will be using the brake bleeding video in my classes.
Sorting the rear wheels went well with a fresh axel and all looking nice and square. It is a shame the bodywork is more challenging, but you have a good record. The new rear quarter is pricey, A good second hand one has to be the way. There must be some good salvageable ones, as I imagine most cars have front end damage. The car that gave up its rear axel looked like a winner for this project. It was a shame for the previous owner of your project, but looking forward, the next owner will get a nice little runner, the engine sounded great. Hopefully, this will be another rewarding project.
Going to be a great 1st car for someone. Looking forward to seeing the other projects
You could do the hilux with an enclosed back on for landscaping/tree surgeon etc? That would sell a treat.
the little ford is great, can't wait to see the next video on it, re the toyota, put a cabstar body on it, just need shortening
A nice little car lads, you'll have it turned around in no time. Looking forward to seeing this one finished and the rest of the content on the channel. Have a good weekend.
Verbal warning for breaking the brake pipe Rob lol nice little first car for a young driver. Thanks Rob & Chris for your time Tom
Good to see the brake bleeding, not that complicated, always though it was a dark art :-)
A great Friday video. Thanks again Rob and Chris. Rob! Let’s get involved in that Hilux!!
Nothing but admiration for what your achievements, recyclable perfection❤️
Hi Rob & Chris, lovely little KA and what a super colour 💕 for some lucky lady to enjoy! ( also I think the car tax is only £30 a year for these?) What a great little car for bombing round town! Great stuff - stay safe boys 👍
I really want to see a tray back on the Hilux. That truck body you have just sitting there is modular construction so it can easily be cut down to size
Nice little motor for someone . I do wish we had that easy bleed back in the day, makes life so much well easier. 👍
How about fuel tank fitment & getting golf running? Then its handy to move about the yard as a runner & finish at a later date.👍
We are on the golf 👍
Always liked the Plum Purple...
All the force of the hit has gone through the wheel / nub / axle.... the bodywork is just tinfoil.
Fair play Rob u and Chris work as a team mate and u both do brilliant work on all the vehicles u do. Keep up with the good work bro Rob the Welsh boy 👍🤙🤙🏴🏴
Ive watched your Videos right from the start i think, and even after all this time they are still great. Keep them coming Rob and Chris.
Hi Chris why don't you get some wheel skates for when your recovering damaged cars? 👍🥸
Keep the content coming guys. Like your set up !cheers
hope you repaired back this ford ka mate.put back on road and do some service it mate.from jesri from malaysia
Nice little car, i also agree on the colour it does look good. Have a great weekend Rob and Chris
Enjoying the different content 👍, cannot wait to see the Escorts 👍, Toyota hi lux I can wait for 👍
Good to see this being saved, a nice little car with all the best trinkets.
