Never a belt. Typically braces, side adjusters sometimes used. A belt is too casual, dinner trousers don’t have belt loops, and a belt wouldn’t be appropriate with cummerbund or evening waistcoat either of which are de rigueur for black tie unless your dinner jacket is double breasted, in which case a waistcoat or cummerbund is optional seeing as one’s jacket would always be buttoned.
Fantastic video! Really appreciate you delving into the history of black tie dress.
Thanks for the new video.
I have a video of Chris Modoo teaching "How To Tie Your Bow Tie" for about 10 years.
Great video. Very informative. I would recommend turning the music volume down quite a bit. The music is competing with his voice
Thanks for the tip!
Chris looking elegant! Classic and once again, delightful information.
Thanks for the feedback!
Great video
Thanks!
Who made your vest?
Tuxedo white shirt archaic for wedding black tie event?
Thank you for your comment! A tuxedo paired with a white shirt is a classic choice for a black-tie wedding event.
White pocket square just peeking out of the pocket?
Good video
Glad you enjoyed it!
Should trouser be pleated or flat front?
Either style is appropriate
Braces or belt?
