I actually like the extra vibrations that come through the cabin too. I thought I was the only one haha. I was expecting more like on my 10th gen Si.
This is always one of the first things I change out on any car though. It stops it from feeling jerky at lower RPM when getting on and off the throttle in slow traffic, as well as when shifting harder. This, Ktuner, and the upgraded rear sway bar have made the biggest difference so far.
Great video! Thanks for taking the time to make it and for spending your hard earned money to help us know what’s worth it.
Another great video! This is definitely on my wishlist of upgrades. I’m still working on exterior and interior appearance mods before moving to performance upgrades. Really looking forward to your K Tuner video. Cheers!
Full engine mount kit is def needed.
Looks fun, relatively cheap and easy to install! I'm definitely thinking in doing it on mine.
My son has the 2019 Si and has all the modifications and bolt on parts except for a rear motor mount. I think he'd like this upgrade.
Great installation!
The vibration is definitely something I lowkey miss from my dart. Its super smooth which is nice, but I do miss some of that feedback when driving.
PRL makes good stuff, and stuff like that is nice, like you mentioned. If it has benefits and results you like, all the better. 👍 😎
I agree the rear motor mount upgrade on any modern fwd vehicle is #1. Can't beat it for price especially if boosted
Wow, great review and installation video. I wonder what that mount would do for the Integra Type S ? Epic roads and scenery on your routes in this video. I’ll have to make a detour one of these times I go up there this year in the 914 or the R on my way to the Mohawk.
I am looking forward to when you get an ECU tune with either the Hondata or Ktuner.I have been using the Ktuner for my 1.5T Civic Si (Canada Model) and it the rev hang is considerably reduced! Among a few more HP from the increased boost!
Great review!!! I came pretty close to buying a prl mount but since my car has a cvt I decided to go with a oem type r mount instead. But funny thing is the type r looks very similar to your oem mount hmm
What differences did you feel after installing?
@@mgstrip there is a little less motor movement and no change in nvh. Cant say if the prl would be a better deal though. Guess it depends on what youre planning on using your car for
@@2005ep3siWhere did you buy the type R mount from?
Great video as always, NAUS! Curious to know how far you plan to take this daily haha. Any plans for the upcoming Acuity Shift Kit that will launch next month or the Hybrid Racing short shifter?
Honestly the full oem shifter setup is so good for daily use. It’s become smoother the longer I’ve owned the car. I do not plan to do anything with that as of now, but lots of exciting videos coming I’ll say that!!
I used the hasports on my 8th gen, now I'm looking at this for my 10th gen. So you think the rubber 60a is "better" than the 62a urethane?
I'm curious if I can get the parts from 2024 civic sport hatchback to install the cargo cover, and spare tire into the new 2025 Civic Hybrid hatchback.
Spare tire will most likely not go in the new hybrid. All that space is taken up by the battery
You should try the 27won 70A.
I gave my thoughts on polyurethane in this video a few times
Do you think with the stiffer rear mount that the front mount might wear out quicker over time now that it’s taking on more of that engine flex?
I’m curious about that as well, it may be a possibility. Time will tell and I’ll keep everyone updated on here
15:50 Suicidal squirrel changed its mind
I ran a squirrel over when I was a kid, around 18-19. I tried so hard to miss him but ended up hitting him anyway. Man, I felt so bad.
Good eyes ! I encounter them daily on my commute
Install on the 10th gen is exactly the same. You do not need to remove the front pipe on the 10th gen to install or remove the rear motor mount.
Good info I wasn’t sure! Mixed info about that online
Oh, btw PRL offers 1,2,and 3 engine mount kits as well according to the information I got.
Not for this generation civic last I checked, this is there only engine mount on the site
@@NAUS2K @NAUS you are right. I went to the PRL website and confirmed you are right. The information I got from a google search obviously published faulty information and I made an a%# of myself by republishing. My apology to our community and your subscribers.
I have that motor mount and I hate it. I recently removed it because it vibrates my dash board too much when the a/c is on. It was installed for more than six months.
It does and that is something I forgot to mention in this drive since I never had the AC on. It does vibrate a little but only at idle, once you are cruising above 2k you don’t feel it at all
New car and is fall apart what's a junk
Useless on that N/A civic, go buy a real one!
