Thanks for watching, and I hope you enjoyed it! Tuning my car paired with my PRL High Volume Intake and Megan Racing Exhaust made a huge difference. From day to day driving, tuning my car made it more fun and run so much smoother with an extra kick to it. I plan on doing a review on my intake and exhaust in the near future so stay tuned for that! 🔥

Honda actually makes a pretty solid CVT just service it at 30k intervals and you’ll be fine. The HRV was the only one that had a batch of recalled ones. I’m a Tech at a dealer BTW so just giving you info to ease your mind on reliability.
If your on bolt ons do you think transmission oil change should be earlier? And Ive heard amsoil cvt fluid is good for these cars moded, or the oem oil works just fine? Too many questions haha took a opportunity to as you 😅
Appreciate you sharing this! For sure gives me peace of mind for the long run 🔥
Cvt is trash and techs no nothing. I wouldnt ever let you touch my car.
@@francisjohn125what’s your mods bro? Full
Bolt on is crazy 😱🔥🔥
@@StylesBlender I agree with CVTs being trash. I personally drive own a Manual car, and as for the other stuff Ive been in the industry 9 years, 5 at Honda and working on my Masters Cert. but cool, your opinion. I truly hope you enjoy working on your own car like most people do. All I’m saying is preventative maintenance goes a long way and Hondas CVT is pretty superior amongst all Manufacturers. That’s all.
Imagine how much faster the zero to 60 would be if it had an 8 speed or something, I’m pretty sure programmed the car to limit torque when launching so the band doesn’t break because it kept you locked below 3k rpm’s for a long time on the launch
@rixzin5046 I wish man, that'd be so much better. Even if it were an actual automatic engine it'd be better, but yeah it did keep me under 3k since the cvt doesn't really let me go too crazy 😅
@@Lil.Civica08 bro have you ever looked at Cvt cooler
Honda messes up big time by not making a 6-8 speed civic. The cvt drives sluggish imo.
@@jamesb8619 if only 😭
The 11th gen civic sport comes in a manual as well
If you are going to buy ktuner for your k20c2 car, I would recommend buying the ktuner +pherable tune bundle. You get a much better tune than basemap for just an extra 50 dollars, and pherable can change the tune for your car, depending on what bolt ons you list when you order the tune.
@chaz9675 that's a great recommendation! Wish this was out when I planned on tuning my car, but unfortunately it wasn't 😭
I want to get it but my 2024 2.0 isn’t supported, or at least my ECU number isn’t listed
The vtec sounds good up top!
@@JoseRivera-li8tr thank you! 🤝🏻🔥
It's a bit hard for me to believe that 20+ hp can be unlocked from a bone stock K20C2, but if true that is really awesome.
if you get ktuner get intake and downpipe that's what you need
@@lilwane6 Thanks. So getting downpipe back exhaust system won't help?
@@MacCready_ you don't really need an exhaust unless you got a manual it won't sound good stock exhaust is good, msd coil packs + ktuner + rv6 catted downpipe + prl high volume intake for k20c2 are the best mods you can go for I had my k20c2 up to 100k miles still ran strong and was quicker than stock but I got another car now
@@lilwane6 Nice thanks bro. I do have the 6mt sport.
It doesnt lol especially a flash tune that came preprogrammed. Gotta get the most with data logging and adjusting from there.
I wanna do this but I’m worried I’m gonna fuck this up😂
@Shaboy14 I understand the worry, I felt the same in the first time I did it. But once you get it down, it's as easy as a few clicks and you can change your tune here and there 👍🏻
i stg that’s the only reason i won’t buy it 😂
Bro trust me I had a 2.0l civic fbo it was k tuned for 80k miles it will not do anything bad it will make ur car drive way better than stock, make sure stay on the oil changes and TRANSMISSION fluid every 30k miles
pheraeble released another tune which your ktuner can upload for the 2.0L NA btw! if you end up copping, looking forward to the content!
yea I have that tune its pretty good
I'll have to consider that 👀🔥
@@Lil.Civica08 ill await your content if you do ! Im curious for more reviews on it
You got a link bro? I have the ktuner but when my friend and i did a 0-60 side by side he is stock we were almost the same so I dont know if it makes a huge difference
@@Burak_Kant61 just search up pherable and find your car, base map does not really do anything other than throttle response
:D its nice to see someone own a car like this! since i have a hatchback cvt myself
@scriptxyoufurry nice! It doesn't get the love it deserves, so im trying to change that 🤝🏻
@@Lil.Civica08 im glad you are man
I like the way the vtec was loud, was that because of the tune? Or the exhaust? I been thinking about getting the megan exhaust. I have the exact same car
@FloridaBoy223 The vtec is normally that loud on these cars, but mine was a little louder due to my after-market intake. And nice man, do it! It makes such a big difference 🔥👌🏻
it’s a lot easier to just slide your phone into the space between the intake and the ECU to take a picture of the number. That’s what phearable tells you to do when you buy one of their custom e-tunes and it only took me 10 seconds after popping the hood
Yes you can also do this to make it easier. I had to take my intake out, since my phone couldn't fit under lmao 😂
I did have to take my phone case off and it felt a little sketchy since iPhones are pretty slippery but the few seconds of anxiety were worth the time save 🤣
@jaymingles haha for real I can relate it was scary for a moment but a relief once you get the non blurry picture 🤣
Thanks Justin. Hope to see you on 60 some day
I'll make sure to say hello when I see you! What car you driving 👀
@@Lil.Civica08 stock 11th gen sport sedan. I recently got it about 2 months ago. Question for you... When you were cruising it at the 12:50 timestamp, do you feel any vibration or shuddering? This is my 1st cvt car and not sure if it normal. I don't remember experiencing this when I purchased the vehicle
@juanc4065 nice! I believe that I don't remember feeling that. Then again, our cvt has had different feelings based on my other friends that have one. But if it proceeds to worsen, I'd take it in just to get it checked to make sure bro 👌🏻
@@Lil.Civica08 thanks bro. Btw your build is goals
@@juanc4065 I appreciate it man thank you 🤝🏻
Two questions:
1. Do you have to tune it because of the intake and exhaust or can you get the intake and exhaust without tuning?
2. Does having intake and exhaust affect the warranty on the car?
I would appreciate if you reply. I also have a 2024 civic sport hatchback and i wanna do things to it as well.
1. You don't have to tune it because of an intake or exhaust. You can get an intake and exhaust without tuning it and it won't void your warranty as long as it isn't the cause of an engine related issue. I've had my intake and exhaust on for more than half a year and my warranty is still good 👍🏻
Will it work on a LX ?
@victorcruz4629 I would double check your ecu number to see if it lands in the numbers listed on the ktuner site, before making a purchase 👍🏻
when tuning with ktuner do you have to switch to 93 octane? or is it still able to run with 87?
@Nikeel-of6xj according to Ktuner's page it is recommended to run 91+. But I don't think it's required, so running 87 should be fine.
i saw tbe transmission issue warning, i have a 22 civic sport but dont have the issue, it a recall on som models?
@@jakejohnson9827 it might be on some models, but I'm not 100% sure on that one
Hey man I’m doing the tune rn and When I click the plus sign to show my tune no factory tune pops up and it doesn’t let me proceed. Yk what can cause that man?
@alonzotostado1544 ill be honest I'm not sure man, were you able to the steps just fine?
@@Lil.Civica08 I found out, it’s cause my ecu isn’t one of them compatible ones so I’m seeing if they can add it so I can be able to tune my vehicle
@alonzotostado1544 gotcha, yeah that's something they can hopefully do 🫡
Hi can we flash standard Honda civic touring with k tuner ?
@gurlalsinghdhother1711 yes that is doable 👍🏻
@@Lil.Civica08 thanks
Nice man, now I want to do this to mine 🙂↕️
It makes a difference that is noticeable for a daily, it's worth the tune 👍🏻
am i trippin or is he running windows 10 on a macbook pro?? 😭😭
@theyluvmigs lmao you're not tripping, I am running windows on my macbook pro 🤣
@@Lil.Civica08 that’s crazy 😭
Will this work on a 2023 civic 2.0l ?
@jamesb8619 Yes, just make sure the ecu number is within the range given on the website and you'll be set 👍🏻
what supporting mods do you have?
do you know if honda flags the ECU for being tuned like VW does with their TD1 stuff where they can tell if the engines been tuned even if you wiped it? or can they not tell if something’s been done?
I believe they can only tell if they check your ecu due to an issue and if they find that the tune is the reason that can void warranty.
they will flag your car, and they can tell even if it’s been flashed back to stock, but I don’t think they always check. If everything seems normal they just perform the service and it’s not an issue
Just got mine 🎉
@@cruzpethtel1189 let's go! Lmk if I could be of any help 🤝🏻
Been thinking of buying one recently, pretty noticeable power gain?
@s0nicgcivic I'd say so! The response and power of the car is for sure, much better and stronger 👍🏻
I just watched the whole video, convinced me to buy one lol
@@s0nicgcivic glad I can be of help! 🤝🏻
Are you in the 11th gen civic group on fb I seen your car before
@zlewogodlz8812 I believe I'm not part of a fb group
ive heard honda techs say people have blown their cvts from tuning them… be very careful
Yes will do, thank you! I've heard that too, I'm being very cautious and careful. 7 months of having it on, I push the pedal once in a while but not a whole lot and no issues whatsoever 👍🏻
change the transmission fluid every 30k
@lilwane6 very important for sure!
Check out the CivicX page, tuning the 2.0L even with FBO won’t really touch much reliability, the K20C2 won’t make enough torque to blow the CVT. The 1.5Ts on the other hand wiil
Did you end up getting Pherable stage 2 for it
Decided not to! But I'm sure it is a much more improved tune than the one I have 👍🏻
Theres only 1 tune available for my car. It's meant for exhaust mods. I dont have any mods atm, can i still flash this tune?
Yes, it can still work. Althoigh having other performance mods will further improve your tune(but isn't necessary) 👍🏻
Will this work on the 2025?
@Lil.Civica08 Bro you can disable the pop up street sign for the road speed in the center display console
I want to tune my civic in the near future, but how’s the MPG if you get regular gas instead of premium with the tune?
@@atxmicbtw5866 I think getting regular gas would get you normal mpg for sure 👍🏻
when u say “normal mpg” do u mean 30-32 mpg?
@@atxmicbtw5866 yes 👌🏻
Does it also increase top speed? and can you remove the speed limiter with the k tuner?
@@iheartsupernova as stated on their website, it should remove the speed limiter 👌🏻 I've never tried it myself lmao so I can't really say 😅
@@Lil.Civica08 Thank you! and I’ll test it out when I get one 😅
@@iheartsupernova if I get to it, I'll let you know! Drive safe out there 🙏🏼
Is there anything for exhuast tunes?
I believe so, but I don't know how to tune those personally 😅
Do you always need that laptop in there?
@@Hinson3000 nope, it's simply just to see the data live and be able to make changes to your tune. But no, it's not needed all the time, only when you want to change something 👍🏻
@@Lil.Civica08 okay cool but don’t unplug the tune ever right?
I heard if I unplug the tune my car will break and not work anymore
@Hinson3000 you can unplug both and your car will run fine my friend. I have both unplugged and it still works just fine 👍🏻
@@Lil.Civica08 your da goat no cap 😭
I have the same car. Am going to swap for a accord 2.0t engine. Its very possible and can be done for under 10k. Ill be faster than the si without any mods 😅😅
@868_gus that sounds like a plan bro 👀🔥
Good idea, 10th gen accord 2.0 auto or manual is the best
lol you better be swapping that trans too
Bro we need videos
Could just buy a type R then no...?
Would you know your 0-60 time?
The original test from honda came in at 8.8 seconds 🐌 I have yet to test mine, which I should've done in this video 😅. So I'll have to test it and see, but I'm sure it isn't that much of a difference in time since the 2.0L wasn't really built to be fast, but more eco friendly & comfortable. Compared to the 10th Gen Civic Sport, that was faster stock than the 11th gen stock. 😭
@@Lil.Civica08got the same car as you I got 6.8 secs and I didn’t even 100% floor it
@@zzhai4914 👀👀👀
@@zzhai4914downhill yes
Still not faster than a Si?
@@chilewile never got to race one lmao
Does it void your warranty?
@K2_24Si not necessarily but it really depends on your dealers terms, usually if you heavily tune your car your and it is detected by your dealer they can refuse to offer you your warranty. You'll have to ask your dealer if it automatically takes your warranty out.
Yes
to bad we can’t dump these
how much hp
@zoinks5717 based on all the performance mods the hp addition should be around 200ish hp. Which is yes not a lot, but it's still a 50hp addition compared to stock 🔥
@@Lil.Civica08 50 is a lot tbh, does it feel faster? the 0-60 should be quicker too right?
@zoinks5717 it for sure feels faster and more responsive. My 0-60 is still to be tested, I'll have to do a video on that. But it should be faster than the original recorded time, which is 8.8 seconds 🐌😅
My experience a Prl Intake, rv6 downpipe and the ktune tune will get you around 200hp past then you’ll have to fabricate a turbo kit
Isnt it a cvt😐
@KaxEdit yes it's a cvt. So yes it won't become insanely fast 😅
Still pretty quick tho
