@ruzickaw Definitely it's very easy to test whether u r going the right way given your own practice. If u become more critical of others behavior&things, rather than your own practice. that is definitely not on the "path" to happiness. Rejoicing is one of the greatest virtue under the 4 immeasurables in Buddhism. Slandering a Sangha, is one of the worst offenses. Furthermor, if u r not giving the benefit of doubt that he could be one benefiting sentient beings and jumping to conclusion.
@middleway85 I am a meditation teacher. I practiced most of the technics. I dont care about all the philosophical concepts , Buddha nature etc. Direct insight is enough. No blessings necessary. That is only holy business.
@ruzickaw U did not see much light but all dirt... because ur mind is just filled with dirt. Sincerely... explore it within yourself, if you are so overwhelm with "dirt" to understand this. (eg. u r alr biased.. ? maybe :)) Stepping into shit is never a blessing, of course i agree with u, with your superficial mindset. But does that mean you can't transform your mind/ attitude? Being able to transform the mind and not be at the "Shit" mercy is a blessing.
What is Buddha nature to you ? Do u think u have the capability to achieve buddhahood just like Sakyamuni Buddha or any Buddha who had previously achieve that buddhahood? What's the ans from deep within the your own honesty?
@ruzickaw ....If you sincerely wish to know how buddha meditated? Try the method yourself. Words of argument means nothing if you only wish to "win an argument", and matter of playing with words. Do you even have the guts to try it? If you have never try it, then you are not a suitable person to criticize it at all.
@ruzickaw u misunderstand everything abt what he says.... When face with the maras -buddha meditate on metta to overcome those obstacles. i m sure u r not ignorant of that.. r u? how is 4 noble truth different from middleway. Does the 8 fold path under the path to the cessation of suffering not means middleway to u? if yes, what is your "middleway" blessing is a practise in all traditions, which don't? Real blessing comes from where? I shall not tell u the ans.
@middleway85 I don´t care if my meditation caters for all sentient beings, as long as it works for me and my students. Everybody should find out his own way. It is more dangerous to follow those outdated ways. They worked at a certain time , but times change always, so the methods have also to change.
@ruzickaw It's ok if u r a normal non buddhist meditation teacher, but if u r, all the more i should put the point across. Yes direct insight is of utmost importance. but there's also sutta maya panna, cinta maya panna and bhavana maya panna. Right now u r only talking about bhavana maya panna. This is dangerous, unless u have been practicing, learning & reflecting since ur previous past lives. Going straight into meditation insight is good, but does not mean it caters for all sentient beings.
How do you know how and what Buddha meditated? Have you been present or are you just making up your story? When i was i Bodh Gaya i did not see much light only dirt. My pure Buddha nature could not avoid stepping me into shit. Was that my blessing?
This boy should study Buddhism. He is wrong about everything. Buddha did no meditate about compassion before enlightenment but about Dependence Arising. And the first teaching in Sarnath was about the Mittle Way and not the four Noble Truth. Buddha did not speak about blessing. That is Tibetan Teaching. Buddha nature is a Mahayana concept.
much blessing to mingyur rinpoche. may he be well on his journey. hope he is well now
