@Jocelynn all I know is that as an employee of a global company that does business in Australia, every year I’m required to take trainings in Australian consumer law as well as Australian and New Zealand business ethics. Something, sadly, tells me that the MLMs are somehow immune to these requirements.
OMG! I am watching this videos cause I live in Australia and my GF was tempted to join this MLM. We are from Mexico, we live in Melbourne and heaps of Colombian girls not even living in Australia, are posting every single day in various facebook groups about "the monat opportunity" I asked myself the same thing, how in the hell this MLm is allowed down under?
The same reason why MLMs get away with it in the US: the Direct Selling Australia association gives a LOT of money to the two major parties and ensures the Australian Consumer Commission doesn’t have the power to shut them down.
I work for a billion dollar company, and I'm fairly mid-level. The CEO, CFO, CAO and CIO all know my name and recognize me. If I had been Mattea, I would've been crushed.

I am binge watching your Top Fails while STILL adding up all of my expenses from 2021 that I spent on 'my Paparazzi business' -- and it's sickening me and making me so angry!!! I'm officially out since November 22, 2021, and I was in for 3 years, so I can't even think about what I've spent overall. I'm just livid at myself and the whole MLM business scheme.
Please don’t take this as insulting or judgmental because I promise it’s not meant to be. You must be an absolute rockstar to stay in paparazzi for 3 years, I have seen the pieces, and maybe I just have bad taste, but that stuff looked very difficult to sell, now I will get to the point of this entire post. I’m a curious person and I’ve never been in an Mlm, so is it that I am wrong and paparazzi was easier to sell than I’m assuming or did you have enough team members that it masked that it was difficult to sell? Obviously you do not have to answer any of my questions, but it is super interesting to me, how smart hardworking people get stuck in Mlm’s and I have always felt that the more you know about the mindset of things happening in certain groups the easier it is to see patterns and avoid similar things, the most painless way to learn hard lessons is learning through other people’s experiences, so I’d be super grateful if you feel comfortable sharing. Very disappointing, but it's truly normal to hardly get anyone to join, or no one at all. Out of all the MLMs I've been involved with, way back in 1984 Tupperware was far easier to sell than it is now. Paparazzi was also easier to sell than any of the other MLMs I was part of, but still nothing to brag about. I never came ahead, ever, in Paparazzi and all the others. Not ever once. All the years I was doing them, I believed it was actually going to help other women to start their own businesses, because I believed like all the rest that it's "MY OWN" business and I'm the CEO of it. I've always wanted to have my own business since I was kid. I do wish I knew the path to doing so, but I did not. I see that now of course. People who are big dreamers, like me, are very easy to recruit because we believe in the dream and all the possibilities. I never got anywhere near ranking up at all in any of them, so I really didn't understand the manipulations to get recruits. I really learned that in my last time in Mary Kay when my director obviously saw my enthusiasm as her next big paycheck if she trained me properly. I ended up really learning how the actual end of month sales closings worked, and that really is what began opening my eyes to how little we were cared about as people. We were all just big dollar signs. I joined Paparazzi because I saw how "easy" the jewelry was selling for others, so I figured I could definitely do that. I didn't intend on getting any team members in Paparazzi because I was sold the idea that I can earn over 6 figures just on sales. BIG LIE. I learned that the hard way after over $30,000 spent on inventory, business supplies, craft fairs, vendor shows, etc. I really want to break up all the MLMs I was in with their own deep dive videos and my story with each one. That's a very big and important goal I know I need to accomplish to help others learn about MLMs, and definitely not to join any. I hope this answered your questions. If not, just ask away!!!
Didn't both Avon and Mary Kay "pull out" of Australia? And they were far older, more established and socially recognized than Monat, plus didn't have hundreds of people filing lawsuits over damage caused by the products. I wonder how long this will last...

And one of the top comments on this video said they tried to email Monat regarding someone's compliance and the email bounced back. Maybe they fixed it, but it all just looks like a ruse to skirt around the FTC.

As a Canadian, where Monat is already there, I wonder how it’s possible to recruit outside our border. The Canadian population is 38 million and Australia is 25,7 million. Compared to the population of the USA which is 322 million, the pool is way smaller. I’ve looked the Canadian income disclosure Monat provided and it’s abysmal for everyone. The tippity top of the pyramid barely makes a decent revenue. Even if you’re in first, this will be a rough ride to get decent income if one Aussie hun can only recruit in Australia. Also, cats are always welcome in any videos.
@@HannahAlonzo To give you an idea, on the Canadian income disclosure, the highest rank (0.003% of the huns), is making an average of CAN$70,866 before taxes and expenses. It’s pretty far from the 6 to 7 figures an American hun can make. Considering that income taxes are anywhere between 12% to 20% depending upon the province or territory, it’s a livable wage but not a “retire the hubby” level of income.
Given most MLM companies hardly ever respond to complaints filed with them, they must be *swamped* with complaints and/or being menaced by the FTC. Either way it makes me think there's a lot less tolerance for this kind of behavior because more people are becoming aware of how unethical their business model is and are moved to action over it.
The FTC has really cracked down on anyone making covid claims. A company I worked for a while ago got a cease and desist letter for making woo covid claims in their content and products last year. If this is finally what gets MLMs taken down, I'm here for it lol.
When you said the Australian woman ranked up 5 times in an hour I tell you I was disgusted. I had to go back and confirm I heard right and then add onto this comment.

Bingo. What difference does the account make? And if everything is legitimate, they should have no problem with saying it openly. That was someone that fully knows they're in a pyramid scheme and has zero problems with scamming others.

I worked in a great big hospital for over 18 years and the CEO didn’t know my name 🤷♀️ And I made him money by being overworked and underpaid never getting breaks for working 12 hour shifts, etc.

I had a friend I really admired whose wife was in Beachbody. She was apparently pretty good at it. I would love to see some info about it. They were seemingly nice people and I remember feeling so disappointed that her girl power/mom-empowerment/encouraging spiel was for an MLM.

I very recently found out a girl I used to be friends with has joined monat. I didn't even know that it was here until then. I just feel so bad for her :(
There comes a point where someone stops being the prey of an MLM and becomes the predator and the people shutting down any discourse regarding ranking up solely by recruitment in Australia are it. They have no defense, so they delete the comments to keep the money rolling in. These people are just flat out evil and greedy and they are NOT helpless victims. They're awful, awful people.
LOTS of people would. Especially those who think modern medicine is a scam (which yes, we have absolutely seen issues with it, such as the opioid crisis, but I know that taking an antibiotic for strep throat will cure me, unlike taking anything from Monat or an essential oil MLM will). MLM 's are rife with people who are all about "all natural!" and "toxic free!" and then make the dumbest, most dangerous health claims. Not everyone, but it's getting scary with the amount of doctors and nurses we're also seeing peddling their MLM's and using the public trust instilled by being a medical professional to then grift their patients. I think the most recent one Hannah talked about was a doctor shilling for Amare. Thankfully, the community here banded together to report him and he had to remove all of the Amare posts from his social media. But he's probably still shilling behind the scenes to his patients so I'd rather him lose his license or have it suspended.
Never be upset about the cats joining ;) I have two and my friend who lives with me has two, and they love nothing more than joining in on zoom calls etc.

The brain washing is so crazy I can’t even comment on it anymore. So I have switched to commenting on the trend with some of them wearing a “trendy” hat. My experience of those type of women is not very flattering. Their personalities are always over the top and have a “look at me mentality!”.

Until Monet begins bringing in copious amounts of income tax, then they too will turn a convenient blind eye, just like most other states. Florida itself is shady as heck, so I have zero confidence they will do anything against MLM's.

Another great video, Hannah. As a hairdresser of 15 years and a personal trainer, I love Monat & beachbody so it’s all good with me! Lol I love what you said at the end. No it is not to pass judgement, but yes people are becoming aware of the lies. It’s a weird mix of people falling for these things and people who see the BS. I will always say, if it seems too good to be true, it usually is.

I always thought the air fair was NOT paid for. .. oh ya it’s your car in YOUR NAME, but you get to put a Monat sticker on it which I’m sure you pay for as well. So Monat is getting the credit for the car even if it’s in your name. So ya sign me up..
OK did some research. SO. First, something to note. Currently we are in constant lockdowns in Australia. And our postal service is backed up. I mean, worse than Christmas backed up. I'm assuming Monat is based in Sydney. Parcels are taking 2 to 3 weeks or more to most places out of the state, and to rural NSW (the state where Sydney is). They just launched this week. I'm guessing not many people would have product yet. What I did find. $1,300 AU is 600PV. That's the top joining pack. To Achieve that 5000 PV group, you need to either purchase A LOT of product, OR have 8 plus yourself join on that big $1,300 pack. Right now with the lockdowns, our high unemployment because of the lockdowns, state boarder closures, our country closed to international travel etc. I just can't .... my mind is blown.

I suck at names, but at least if I forget someone's name immediately it's because they're a stranger and not someone I'm trying to befriend... and this video's "new BS I realised": They must not realise office jobs exist. My dad works a full time job with six figure salary, AND he works from home on his own time, AND he gets all-expenses paid business trips... AND he gets real, good (for the USA) insurance lol. All while bothering absolutely nobody. (and he's at the top of his division, so he's also kinda more of "his own boss" than these huns.)

Just curious because there a couple grammar errors, and I’m surprised corporate is allowed to use the phrase “this business” since these 1099 roles are explicitly NOT a business opportunity. Yes it came from their Chief Legal Officer! I’m will admit, I didn’t notice the grammatical errors, maybe I just read it wrong? 😅 I think they used the term “this business” because that’s what their reps call it on social media all the time. I think they wanted to make it clear that even if they don’t say the name specifically, they can’t say “this business” as a work-around. Thank you for your support! ❤️

Anyone that actually earns money I don’t know how they are okay with their ethics. I often wonder how much these ladies husbands look into the business some might be mortified to learn they married to a con woman. They are an unethical con woman that have put their integrity and morals off to the side. The fact that they can get on these zoom calls and lie with a straight face is disgusting they know which ladies won’t last but since it’s based on month to month sales they have no choice but to take what they can get. They have an agenda they must maintain their own rank and get their car bonus. You have to be an incredibly SELFISH, MONEY HUNGRY INDIVIDUAL to do this daily. I hope one day they wake up and it’s all gone ! The company is shut down. I thought cross-border recruiting wasn’t allowed between Canada and the US? I don’t know where I saw that though, so I could be wrong.

Bingo. What difference does the account make? And if everything is legitimate, they should have no problem with saying it openly. That was someone that fully knows they're in a pyramid scheme and has zero problems with scamming others.

Sleazy! This is what the people who sell the CBD product through MLM does, which I told you about. I have seen it. "Cured my daughter's mono" along with COVID claims. "Lost my job because of this that and the other thing and this company lets me work for myself," blah blah blah
I had a friend I really admired whose wife was in Beachbody. She was apparently pretty good at it. I would love to see some info about it. They were seemingly nice people and I remember feeling so disappointed that her girl power/mom-empowerment/encouraging spiel was for an MLM.

There comes a point where someone stops being the prey of an MLM and becomes the predator and the people shutting down any discourse regarding ranking up solely by recruitment in Australia are it. They have no defense, so they delete the comments to keep the money rolling in. These people are just flat out evil and greedy and they are NOT helpless victims. They're awful, awful people.

LOTS of people would. Especially those who think modern medicine is a scam (which yes, we have absolutely seen issues with it, such as the opioid crisis, but I know that taking an antibiotic for strep throat will cure me, unlike taking anything from Monat or an essential oil MLM will). MLM 's are rife with people who are all about "all natural!" and "toxic free!" and then make the dumbest, most dangerous health claims. Not everyone, but it's getting scary with the amount of doctors and nurses we're also seeing peddling their MLM's and using the public trust instilled by being a medical professional to then grift their patients. I think the most recent one Hannah talked about was a doctor shilling for Amare. Thankfully, the community here banded together to report him and he had to remove all of the Amare posts from his social media. But he's probably still shilling behind the scenes to his patients so I'd rather him lose his license or have it suspended.

The brain washing is so crazy I can’t even comment on it anymore. So I have switched to commenting on the trend with some of them wearing a “trendy” hat. My experience of those type of women is not very flattering. Their personalities are always over the top and have a “look at me mentality!”.

Another great video, Hannah. As a hairdresser of 15 years and a personal trainer, I love Monat & beachbody so it’s all good with me! Lol I love what you said at the end. No it is not to pass judgement, but yes people are becoming aware of the lies. It’s a weird mix of people falling for these things and people who see the BS. I will always say, if it seems too good to be true, it usually is.

Oh wow I'm an Aussie. In a lot of facebook groups for party plans and direct sales companies. Seen nothing about Monet as yet....... yet.

OK did some research. SO. First, something to note. Currently we are in constant lockdowns in Australia. And our postal service is backed up. I mean, worse than Christmas backed up. I'm assuming Monat is based in Sydney. Parcels are taking 2 to 3 weeks or more to most places out of the state, and to rural NSW (the state where Sydney is). They just launched this week. I'm guessing not many people would have product yet. What I did find. $1,300 AU is 600PV. That's the top joining pack. To Achieve that 5000 PV group, you need to either purchase A LOT of product, OR have 8 plus yourself join on that big $1,300 pack. Right now with the lockdowns, our high unemployment because of the lockdowns, state boarder closures, our country closed to international travel etc. I just can't .... my mind is blown.

My dad works a full time job with six figure salary, AND he works from home on his own time, AND he gets all-expenses paid business trips... AND he gets real, good (for the USA) insurance lol. All while bothering absolutely nobody. (and he's at the top of his division, so he's also kinda more of "his own boss" than these huns.)

I’m will admit, I didn’t notice the grammatical errors, maybe I just read it wrong? 😅 I think they used the term “this business” because that’s what their reps call it on social media all the time. Anyone that actually earns money I don’t know how they are okay with their ethics. I often wonder how much these ladies husbands look into the business some might be mortified to learn they married to a con woman. They are an unethical con woman that have put their integrity and morals off to the side. The fact that they can get on these zoom calls and lie with a straight face is disgusting they know which ladies won’t last but since it’s based on month to month sales they have no choice but to take what they can get. They have an agenda they must maintain their own rank and get their car bonus. You have to be an incredibly SELFISH, MONEY HUNGRY INDIVIDUAL to do this daily. I hope one day they wake up and it’s all gone ! The company is shut down. The money earned in MLM is no different than money earned through drug sales, human trafficking, fraud, forgery etc it’s DIRTY MONEY!
