Grew up skiing here with my parents. This video brought back some great memories. Great hill with awesome vibes. Hope a place like this can continue to stay in business for years to come.

@@riseandalpine Yo man, love the vids. There's another mountain called mt. Baldy located just 1 hour away from Los Angeles. If you're ever in town I highly recommend it. Glad you have such a fun time on your solo road trips; thanks for letting us keep you company. Congrats on the new HH kit - you could fit two of you in it! Q: the double blacks looked pretty reasonable - would you say the terrain warranted the double?

the black rubber weals that the cable of the lift roll across is what the shiev wheals are a lot of parts on lifts little chip hangs off the side is the brittle bar when it breaks that stops the lifts you should get with a lift supervisor see if you can get a tour up in the motor room detachable and fixed grips its really. cool would make a good video

Ya man, it was super cool of them. They make quality gear and usually have sweet sales so you get it at a reasonable price. Last jacket lasted me 6 years and I beat it to the ground hard. Bird brand probably would have ripped in a year LOL
It's a long drive but a sweet option. Big White and Sun Peaks are also awesome. Busier than baldy but much larger in terms of terrain. They also have little villages and restaurant options post ski day. Big White has more steep terrain than Sun Peaks, but Sun Peaks gets more sunshine. Silverstar is cool too!
Yo, way to show off the smaller resorts, can be great terrain and less traffic. Less lines and no skied out terrain makes up for slower chairs and the drive.
Yeah this lil' doggy ain't too far past Red, eh bud. Those ticket prices, too. Half price rates compared to the big boy's. Definitely getting some consideration. Booked for a few nights at the hill in Red come March. Gonna put on my big boy pants. Gonna be a game time decision, but I'll be ready to go.

Cool HELI HANSEN did that. They seem under the radar
Ya man, it was super cool of them. They make quality gear and usually have sweet sales so you get it at a reasonable price. Last jacket lasted me 6 years and I beat it to the ground hard. Bird brand probably would have ripped in a year LOL
I wish the weather was like that here in south east Canada.. Its like Florida here right now
It's tropical as heck in the Whistler area. I'm glad I linked an interior trip while the snow was still real good .
@@riseandalpine skiing is fun regardless! I could be working
Wow just saw day pass that’s crazy good price ! It’s still 5hr tho drive , do you recommend big white or sun peak
Silverstar is cool too!
was the next destination Big white?
You'll have to wait and see!
We need the run titles back 🙏🙏
Happy to do it when I visit resorts but not at WB!
that place looks like a paradise compared to those overcrowded places...and nice terrain too
Such a gorgeous spot.
Dude… congrats on the Helly Hansen hook up!!
Thanks Alain! Super excited about it.
how was the road driving up to the mountain?
a regular FWD sedan with winter tires is good enough?
would you recommend carrying chains?
Unless there is a mega storm you should have no problem but i'd always recommend carrying chains especially with just FWD.
What camera did you shoot with in this video? Great video! Thanks
A mix of the Insta360X3 and chest shots on the go pro hero 11.
James would you consider doing ski technique videos?
I totally could! Would need to get someone filming me for a day which can be tricky sometimes. What kind of techniques would you be keen to learn?
Off-piste/in the pow. Your bread and butter baby
as an intermediate snowboarder, i wanna learn how to go that fast without falling
Keep on practicing and ride as much as possible, you'll get there one day!
Yo, way to show off the smaller resorts, can be great terrain and less traffic. Less lines and no skied out terrain makes up for slower chairs and the drive.
Dude - smaller places are the SHIZ
Yeah this lil' doggy ain't too far past Red, eh bud. Those ticket prices, too. Half price rates compared to the big boy's. Definitely getting some consideration. Booked for a few nights at the hill in Red come March. Gonna put on my big boy pants. Gonna be a game time decision, but I'll be ready to go.
Sick! You'll really dig Red bro. So much interesting terrain. Baldy is totally worth a visit, super chill land the snow stays mint.
Baldy seems like the absolute dream!!! How long would it take to drive there from Vancouver?
As a local who used to live in Vancouver it's about a 5 hour drive but in prime season it would be sooo worth it you should define check it out!
Ya 5 hours is about right. Not bad at all considering it takes me 4 hours to get home from Whistler in traffic most days hahahaa
Where is the mountain located?
Baldy is located in Oliver, BC, Canada
