@@ZREXER1250 George needs to be fired asap. Mistakes like that get people hurt and are not acceptable on this level. We have had too many tracks shut down because of his kind, so the best thing we can do if we actually love drag racing is to make sure George NEVER tries it again. Protect our sport by keeping the trash out. And that means George. My best friend was killed on the track by a piece of trash like George who didn’t care about getting his stuff right, so I have no respect for him. The biggest problem with this situation was that George survived.
@UNCLE D! Lmao, when you are calling someone that’s 6’4” and 300lbs “lil”, you are either clueless or morbidly obese. You also have to understand that I have made my living in drag racing for over 30 years. I have watched people like George ruin our sport and get tracks shut down, and I’m tired of it. I’m not willing to watch my livelihood and hobby be destroyed by trash like that. You may be willing to put people like me out of business so you can be entertained by crap like this, but I’m not. And lots of others are done with it too. I’ve said it since day one, George is a problem and needs to go. He shouldn’t even be allowed to finish this event. Let’s be blunt. The only reason you find George acceptable is because you have never been a part of this industry. You aren’t a car guy and never will be. You can’t be if you don’t hate seeing George trying to ruin our hobby and livelihood.
Nothing cleetus or anyone in the comments is gonna say is gonna beat this lesson into his head like that 'field trip' time to move on and and do better. This is the first time outside of of cleetus' events/property that George has done anything unsafe.
This reminded me of the time that SOMEONE did their first 6 second pass in another car but with no parachutes. Balls of steel amigos.. What an episode. This week is going to be rowdy..
Balls of steel? It’s called having more money than brains. With a chute it wouldn’t have been nearly as dangerous. But hey, they gotta make videos, they’ve got no time to learn from their mistakes.
@@TheHannukahZombie just stop Because if you paid attention to videos brakes we're done a long time ago on video maybe even two months ago at this point they didn't rush the brakes they own a brake company and had those almost right away they rushed the cooling system and to get it to race week that's what everybody does on race week and every car is band-aided from one track to the next just don't even talk if you don't know what you're talking about it's a bad look and we all do this that is the purpose of making it to the end at all costs of a drag and drive event if you want to yell at them about rushing something all you can yell at them for is the radiator and the tune but that is still spot on so all you get to talk about is the radiator... That was going to happen whether they put the brakes on yesterday or a month and a half ago when they actually did anyways and it was documented on video
Out of all the places George could have had a brake failure, this was in the best drag strip ever with just a huge over run. He could of went into a sand pit and net catch and totally wrecked the blazer and his neck. Glad all things worked out as best in a bad situation.
Gotta love how calm George gets in crucial situations in these cars. Stayed calm and took control of the car and luckily was able to wheel it into the field for a safe shutdown
All of the above. It was obviously super smart of them to swap the pulleys and underdrive the blower. I'm kind of hoping they detune it a little more. He probably shouldn't be running quicker than 10.0 until they get it setup properly. It seems super sketchy....
I love how Georgie blasts past the shutdown into a field at 148 mph and the first thing he says to Cleetus when he walks up is "Is this the winner's circle?!" That dude has some of the best enthusiasm, even when he loses brakes or flips a Fiero 😂😂
Guess you need to re name Georges ride, call it the “TRAILBLAZER”. 100mph field testing the new combo without brakes is pretty bad ass lol, you can feel the “no no no no” in his voice and i was hoping it wasnt any holes or big ass rocks hidden by the wheat. Now that the first struggle is over now mount an auxiliary radiator to the roof of that thing so it can keep cool
They might go a lil faster if they wuttn't tryna race inna DANG FEEELD!! George might've broke the 1/4acre record. {0.o} Tell Gooba I said, "DUH HUH!!" he'll unduh stand. {0.o} 😂 🤣
Agree, about as transparent as they can be and still get hated on. Everybody makes mistakes Cleetus and crew owns them so hopefully others will see it and dont make the same ones......sometimes when Cleet says “we are idiots” i just shake my head but appreciate they acknowledge their faults lol
Glad ole George and Rocky are ok. Rocky needs a parachute now, especially with that mph. Very happy for George, he looks like he is genuinely having a great time with Rocky.
The brakes is one of those mistakes that George knows exactly what happened, he knew what caused it, he knows its his fault. And that's all there is too it. Dogin on him does nothing. He knows what happened, he was the one riding through the field, he got his, no need for anyone to say anything else. Put it back together and run it back, come back stronger and harder.
Agree with the statement but no reason a car with that power to not have a chute. If for not other reason than keeping you off the wall or out of the other lane, it's worth the small investment.
In this case, I disagree. It's cleetus' car which means one if George gets hurt, it's on him and 2, if he wads it up Cleetus has to pay for it. and 3, this is how he makes his money, if he goes down a car he has to come up with something else for content. He wasn't too hard on him, he was just like hey dude.. don't take shortcuts on my stuff. 100 percent correct.
George and Sam make this channel great. Also these are learning mistakes that new race teams see all the time. You guys posting this will help others to double check their equipment. Thanks!
Sam is great and Cleetus needs more like him. George on the other hand can’t be fired fast enough. Beginner mistakes like that are not for events like this, they are a threat to everyone’s safety and the whole sport. A couple more “accidents” like this and someone will get hurt and then we will lose more tracks. George needs to go asap, and he needs to never turn a wrench again in his life.
Honestly it was a blessing in disguise, probably the best track to realize you have a problem like that, long shut down and pretty flat big ol field at the end. Could have been a hell of alot worse so thank God for that.
I’ve been growing wheat my entire life in Kansas, and you boys have no idea how lucky you are that those hot pipes on that blazer didn’t start a fire. Dry wheat like that will burn like wild fire, faster than you could get a harness off. Glad everyone is okay.
"that should be fine" never ends well, glad George had a long shut down. Always do it right the first time or not at all.... Sounds like the corvette has a baby supercharger in it lol...
George has some big balls to still wanna drive Rocky after losing brakes like that. He did own up to the mistake but that was definitely a close call. Just relieved he's still okay despite that happening.
Yeah, he may not be best pleased about it being put on UA-cam but honestly, we love you more for it George and also I'll bet you'll all be double checking brakes/setup from now on!
In all fairness some of the best parts of this channel is the fact the guys admit when they're wrong. Coupled with the fact that they show their mistakes. They're not out here hiding things and showing only the finished fine tuned product. Yeah they could've not added that in but they did to probably be humble and a reminder to the rest of us that stupid shit happens and don't skirt safety.
@@stovepipe6769 this wasn't a live stream, if George truly objected this wouldn't have been in the video. For every minute of video you see, someone probably put in 5 minutes of work cutting out 10 minutes of footage.
George is horrible and needs to be fired immediately. Guys like him are the ones who get the tracks shut down for all of us. Hopefully tracks will ban him soon and Cleetus will have to let him go. He may be a cool guy, but his careless attitude is a threat to all drag racers. He should NEVER be allowed behind the wheel of a drag car again.
@@1hunglow582 Probably more fun that you at a party. But a party isn’t serious like racing is. Racing is not the place to be slacking off and joking around. There is a time and place for everything. Someday maybe you will grow up and learn that. George won’t, and that’s why he needs to go.
@@adamr9215 Answer my comment you coach potato. I thought we got rid of this nany grandma attitude 5 years ago. Of course someone who has never owned a real drag car would be telling others 1000 miles away how to act. Racing is the exact place to be having fun and joking around. You accept the risk when you buckle that seatbelt. “Wear ur mask” “Yes daddy government I’ll wear my seatbelt and drive 10 under the fast scary speed limit for safety.” “Yes mr daddy government you can take my rights away because of a mishap that I didn’t cause on a drag track.” How does running off a track put anyone in danger besides the driver you idiot?
George went in deep on that pass....I'm grateful he's OK. He is quickly becoming the poster boy. Mullet swinging in the breeze, and laughing all the way. It's a great big Buenos Dias from the United Kingdom. Freaking awesome vids. Keep up the good work.
@@smokindragn1 Right! Imagine going 140mph in a brand new build on a unfamiliar track only to realize that there are no brakes. Talk about a pucker moment. But he stayed with the car and got it done. Wow. Mad respect. I also would be checking the other cars to see if that locking clip is on all them.
It definitely needs and is technically required to have a chute of it goes a couple more mile per hour but they didn’t plan on it being that fast out of the gate
@@adriane7841 Yeah chutes are for +150mph cars. They were planning on like a 135mph car on moderately high spice and it has plenty of brakes for those speeds, but doing 143 on low boost definitely requires a chute. Yeah those brakes can stop it at those speeds pretty reliably but if they overheat or fail on a short track its just not worth it.
My heart sank when I saw the title. Glad George is ok. The best thing about a mistake like that is that is sets so hard with you, you don’t make it again. Good luck George. Hope you finish this week!!

Mistakes get made. Nobody’s gonna win if we don’t learn from it. I’m proud they owned it too but I want to make sure they don’t feel they have to justify themselves to us ever, they owe us nothing. We are lucky to have them.
You could see the fear in his eyes! I was even leaning on my seat watching this.
He didn’t own shit, he tried spreading the blame on everyone else with his “team effort “ comment
Cleeter & crew: "Alright, we had our fun with the wheelies, now it's time to make the Blazer a serious race car."
Rocky: "I'll go fast if you want, but I'm not gonna skip the style points. Also, that field over there's looking kinda long, I'mma just pop over and trim that real quick."
Sam may have missed the gear but it is still great seeing him out here living his best life at his age. You guys are probably making that mans dreams come true. I love seeing him on the channel
They need to turn some of Sam's cars into full blown projects and turn them into rocket ships.

@UNCLE D! Yup. Facts are facts, no matter what your fruity feelings say.
I was saying this to my friend, except at least Cleet had breaks XD
Balls of steel? It’s called having more money than brains. With a chute it wouldn’t have been nearly as dangerous. But hey, they gotta make videos, they’ve got no time to learn from their mistakes.

Out of all the places George could have had a brake failure, this was in the best drag strip ever with just a huge over run. He could of went into a sand pit and net catch and totally wrecked the blazer and his neck. Glad all things worked out as best in a bad situation.
That it was…
genuinely couldve saved his life.
Gotta love how calm George gets in crucial situations in these cars. Stayed calm and took control of the car and luckily was able to wheel it into the field for a safe shutdown
Probably the best "no-brakes" scenario possible.. Keep it up and keep it safe fellas! Buenos Blazer !
That Blazer needs some SERIOUS chassis work, wheelie bars, chute and maybe a more serious cage 😂😂😳😳

@@michaeldean2252 totally agree. It handled horribly and George isn't the strongest driver. They need to ease him into this thing.

Glad ole George and Rocky are ok. Rocky needs a parachute now, especially with that mph. Very happy for George, he looks like he is genuinely having a great time with Rocky.
Parachutes don't do much without brakes. They just keep you straight when you get on them. It's not a big help for braking
As soon as you get under a certain speed they become useless. And you can still get very injured at those speeds
Yep... Go right back, fix It , learn.. Move on

A couple more “accidents” like this and someone will get hurt and then we will lose more tracks. George needs to go asap, and he needs to never turn a wrench again in his life.
“That $100 will pay for the wheat field damage” was hilarious. The Blazer is a madman, and George is one of the funniest guys around.
