Your smoothing brush is actually called a “Rat” brush from the 60’s. After teasing your hair, the rat brush was used to smooth out the top of the tease with the pointed end lifting the hair for more volume.
Your braids and ability to convey the how to is wonderful. It’d be great to have some of the styles you do on others done on yourself w a guided walk through how to! I’d love to do these on my own head and a follow along would make it a bit easier!
I would love to see the viking braid continue down into the back of the hair. Its a very beautiful hair style but the viking braid would look so much more beautiful if it was down completely to the end of the back hair section that was put I to a hair tie
I totally tried this style but I am going to try it again and see if the second go around is better. At least I gave it a go. I don't know how to share a picture of it on the comment section or else I would let you see how it looked.
I love this look, but how do you go about taking it down? I've tried doing a some pulling through styles like you do here and I ended up with a knotted mess. I have long straight hair

I second that opinion lol! I tried and it is VERY difficult to do on yourself.
