Awesome tutorial!!! this summer I made your accordion flower press books and have been searching your channel for how to use the specimens. This was perfect! Thank you for turning me on to this newest obsession.
Im always in awe of the final result. I have a tendency to "stay within the lines" when it comes to art so these botanical sessions have been such a valuable learning opportunity for me, thank you so much!! (and my husband was listening and said "she means PVA glue right" cause PVC glue is for pipe and it's purple." I will be watching future videos by myself!! TYFS and as always, its a joy to listen, watch and expand my creative knowledge.
Thank you so very much. Yes PVA glue. I guess i have building my house on my brain and said PVC. 🙄 lol. Once you break that line barrier you will have a whole new avenue to explore. Not that one is better then the other but it is nice to have that artistic freedom to explore your creativity. Some times “staying in the lines” has some beautiful effects as well. I hope you give yourself the opportunity to just go for it and have fun! Thank you for watching.
Hi Michelle! I have to tell you, I love your videos…I’ve been drawing again, thanks to you. Daily, I’ve been sending my mom your videos and she’s picked up the pencil and started drawing. You are a great teacher! Thanks so much and I look forward to more videos from you :)
Loved your video!! i have lots of pressed flowers that i would love to do this with! What is the name of the printing stamp you used? i can't find it on Amazon. Thank you :)
Thank you. I apply another coat of the glue and that seals them. They have to be relatively thin pressed specimens. If they are thick you would need something thicker like varnish 😊
Do you have to do anything to the watercolor paper to get an impression on the paper after the pressing? AND How long do you press for flower impression on your watercolor paper? Thanks so much - video was very helpful. :o)
Can't wait to use this idea of pressing fern leaves that grow in abundance here in BC. Thanks for the great inspiration Michele.
♥️♥️♥️ your Artisticness, Thanks for sharing!!!
I know this is an older video but its right up my alley..very nice!!

I really love it; and do you seal it with something to prevent the dried pressed plants from accidentally lifting?
Thank you. I apply another coat of the glue and that seals them. They have to be relatively thin pressed specimens. If they are thick you would need something thicker like varnish 😊

These turned out so pretty! Thanks for sharing 🤗 I guess you mean PVA glue? Haven’t heard of PVC glue before?
Thank you. Yes sorry PVA glue PVC is for glue for plumbing lol
What glue did you use?
