Amanda, no baby, what are you doing?? I'm happy she's out here living her life, but that "I have black friends/relatives" etc isn't an excuse. She has every right to be mad about the lack of support for the lgtbq+ and latin communities, but the way she came about it by throwing black folks under the bus was so wrong. @@JLPerryTV Exactly! Angel is a great R & B track. I'm sure many people of Hispanic descent listen to R & B. However, this is a genre WE created. In the beginning, she came across as sexually ambiguous. So, she clearly wasn't marketing herself to the LGBTQ community.
That’s what I was thinking. Yes, I understood where she was coming from, but her choice of words threw me off and I get how it threw others off as well. I love the way the narrator eloquently vocalizes the end of her sentences. I don't think Amanda Perez's intent was to offend or undermine BLM. She just didn't articulate her point well. I think all groups of people that have experienced social injustice and oppression in this country, should be treated respectfully and equally.
